Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow Swatches (x10)
I’ve been meaning to review Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow ($30.00 for 0.13 fl. oz.) at some point (I think I initially bought only a few shades, but I recently picked up several more when all the retailers were doing 25% off beauty). They’re a replacement for the original Eye Tints, which I generally loved, though the formula didn’t feel the same to me (more watery than velvety). The range includes quite a few shades, but I’ve only purchased 10 at this time, which are swatched in this post!
Well, given it’s Armani, I’ll use my native language: non tutte le ciambelle vengono col buco! (you can’t win them all!)
By the way, has ColourPop slowed down due to Covid-19? I really enjoy seeing more variety of brands on the site, but I feel horrible about it!
ColourPop shut down their facilities a couple of weeks ago now, as they’re in California! I expect they’ll remain that way through April.
I used to love armani, in general. But every time I like something and go to replace it it seems they have changed their formula or discontinued what I want to replace. Eyes to kill mascara (the original one from years ago), bronzer (powder and liquid), concealer all are things I have tried to replace and gotten mad that I can’t get them anymore. It makes me hesitant to try anything from them.
I’m not alone in this world!
Sorry to hear this. Their power fabric concealer has been an HG for me, and I would usually get a back up at the Sephora sale. They changed the formula — or just added an additional one?
Wow, except for Scarab and Halo, they are all flops! I am glad I still have the old ones. ?
Wow these are all very terrible, sheer and patchy looking. The green is the only exception, but the color itself is incredibly unattractive.
Did they change their formula? Sad looking swatches but the green is pretty.
These look so bad, except for Scarab.
I remember when NARS had an eye paint (worked as liner or shadow) that I think was also called Scarab. It was beautiful – much nicer than this one, I think. I do like Halo but I’m betting it’s very “dupe-able” – I’m eager to see your dupes, Christine, if/when you put them up.
Ooops, I just checked and it was Snake Eyes, not Scarab, that Nars had (maybe still has???)
Snake Eyes is so gorgeous! I’ve been meaning to buy it, but there are always so many new things to try. One of these days maybe I’ll just buy it. I don’t know how many times I’ve swatched it in Sephora, and every time think, next time.
How disappointing most of these are! They pale in comparison to the original Eye Tints. Well, except for possibly Scarab. Otherwise, nope.
I agree with everyone else. Scarab is the winner here.
Yes, these swatches do seem to be quite watery and lacking the pigmentation that was so prevalent in their initial collection. The only ones I like are Scarab and Halo.
Rose Ashes looks like it got a terrible downgrade from the previous formula. 🙁 No point in most of these shades if they’re so sheer…
pass…except for scarab, these look worthless.
I’ve had Halo for a while and I use it more than any of my other liquid shadows (other than Stila Suede Shade) especially on no-makeup/neutral days. Looks like I grabbed the right shade.
This is just rude.
