What was the last launch that you were disappointed by?
Urban Decay Wired Palette was such a massive let-down that I didn’t see coming.

We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! The Chanel La Fleur et L’Eau lip color collection…though I’m also glad it didn’t score straight As because that kept me from spending money!
I’d probably agree with this. The collection didn’t have an aesthetic appeal to me from the get-go and the less than stellar scores made it doubly easy to resist. For me, this is a very good thing, since Chanel is no longer easily available where I live.
Huda’s pastels. Just not excited about how they swatched. The shimmers particularly, don’t look like they will work for me.
Do you plan to review the transforming liquid liners that are part of this launch?
I was so excited about them… it was the single most frustrating eyeliner experience of my life. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Sorry, I did not purchase those!
Melt Millennial Pinx. Such a disappointment!
Huda Pastel palettes going by YTR’s reviews and your 1st one. But at least with some extra fussing, they’re still useable.
Not so with the disastrous Melt Millennial Pinx collection! No working with that whole mess. Yikes.
Melt’s Amor Eterno collection… I really wanted those palettes to be amazing 🙁
Melt Cosmetics Millennial Pinx; I like the palette, but the color story makes me wonder if they’re going to take the brand more “mainstream”, especially now that they’re in Sephora… It’s definitely something I’ll use, but I hope it’s as “safe” as they plan to go… I was also excited for the lipglosses, especially the black & grey ones, but they all appear exactly the same once applied, and the glitter is just too chunky… That said, I do really like the “base” formula for the glosses, and would like to see it used in the future, without glitter… I ended up just buying the entire PR box, with literally no interest in the gel liners, but it turns out I actually really enjoy them, so it wasn’t a complete waste…
UD Wired. I thought UD was going back to it’s roots and getting back on it’s game, but all but the eyeliners were disappointing. The palette was utter crap. The duo eyeliner things were gimmicky. IDK how good they were, but I can achieve the same thing with what I own. I was disappointed they went with lip tints instead of some pigmented, opaque, wild neon lip shades.
MAC Holiday 2019 – very lackluster products, lackluster theme in lackluster packaging. I appreciate the down-editing and maybe I’m used to the mega collections of the past but this just seemed like they decided to re-do the launch at last minute and deleted half of the collection and didn’t know what to do with the packaging.
Honestly, Charlotte Tillbury’s Glowgasm collection. It’s the worst pigmentation I’ve ever had to pay too much for! It’s somehow not pigmented and very chunkily sparkled.
Huda’s pastels – they are turning out to be very poorly done.
UD Wired – a massive fail after their highly successful Electric palette from years ago
Every palette that contains a multitude of pinks, reds, oranges and purples….
Maybe because I really don’t “need” anything, or I’m not looking to add anything to my collection, I try not to get too excited about any new launches until a review is done. Then if it is reviewed well I might consider a purchase. So I can’t think of anything that I’ve been disappointed about recently.
UD Wired. I wanted to buy the palette as a companion piece to Electric, but overall it had too many shades that were straight copies of Electric shades for me to justify the purchase. However, I might buy one of the eyeliners if/when they go on sale.
The new Urban Decay palette and the Huda pastels.
I appreciate UD not coming up with a new product every week, but I would expect a very well put together, high quality product.
The Huda pastel palettes are nothing special. They look pretty, but when it comes to performance, poor ):
