Fortunate to receive (at all, given card issues) quickly, the Hallberg liners. Used for a few looks, eyes only. (They are multiuse.) Every crayon is available in a set, as well as individually. The primary ones seem pretty dupable, purple left out to make the set vegan. The core crayons are just that. The greige is more gray than the online swatch, but that may be me. The gray is a charcoal to soft black. Matte. There are some very unusual shades in the flash and mood crayons. Well worth an online peek. I rarely look at LH online, and was very fortunate to hit a 50% sale. 18 liners for <100? Steal, and these will satisfy my inner liner nerd for quite a while. Plans: a coworker is over for the w/e. Fill in Fri, due to a death that impacts staffing. Her Shih Tzu is coming, too. As the coworker does not drive, this facilitates transportation. Songs on repeat are only in my mind, though s.t. sung aloud. They are usually old lady rap about the dogs. My b&t dachshund was acting up and being rammy in the carriage at the predental, so he got a rap about ‘Rama lama, Rama lama d*** dog.’ (The original was a doo wop classic with ‘ding dong.’ That was an oldie, when I was a pup.) Speaking of pups, it looks as if a Mellan is resting better. Yay! Arnica is another good anti-inflammatory. My body oil has it.

Christine Avatar

How is the wear on the liners, KJH? 50% off is always a good sale!

Mellan is getting trazodone 2x daily, which is definitely keeping him less anxious! He still wants to play, so I don’t think the dose is too high (and just at night didn’t seem to be enough). Fingers crossed!

kjh Avatar

Can’t say yet as to longevity, did multiple looks on each eye, one after the other. Waterline seems pretty good. As to the Trazodone, make sure to ask the vet if you can titrate up. I took it for post-menopausal sleep issues and went up to 250 mg. (The standard adult/old dose is 50, often works at that.) Also knew a NH patient who took 600 spaced throughout the DAY, but he was major agitated and flew around.

Haul: I’m about out of my Pixi Glow Tonic, but I’m tired of spending $18 on it, so I did some research on a more affordable dupe and settled on the Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner… $9 for over twice as much product and I’m sold! Still no colored cosmetics, though. I stopped by Ulta and looked at the Nars Afterglow palette and was surprised that I liked it as much as I do. I’m still holding strong for my (at-least) 3-month no buy, so I’ll see how I feel at the end of March and if I’m still interested. I’m also very interested in purchasing the Nabla Nude/Coral Cutie palettes, and maybe, at some point, if it goes on sale, the ND Metropolis palette too. But those are all dreams that could fade in time.

Rediscoveries: My ND Mini Bronze and Glow palette. I’ve used it all week this week and I love the tone of the “bronzer” (it’s listed as a blush). I don’t use the shimmery side at all, but that would be a lovely one-shadow look.

Weekend plans: My dad is coming to visit tomorrow and I have grand plans to clean my bathroom and do some spring purging. We’ll see what happens; most of the cleaning things have to happen during my son’s 2ish hour nap window, so that cuts down what I can do significantly.

What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately?: Frozen 2 Into the Unknown (at the request of my son, lol) and JT Man of the Woods album.

Genevieve Avatar

That is lovely having your dad come and visit – your son will be thrilled with some grandfatherly attention. Getting chores done with a two year old is not easy, as I know with my own grandchildren (and their mother talking about it).
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stacey Avatar

I use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner and it’s really good, never tried Pixi Glow Tonic but I received a bottle in my Glamour Beauty Festival goody bag back in Nov so will be trying it out next just because I have it to use but was always curious about it before I Tried The Ordinary Toner 🙂

Lacey J. Avatar

It has been a minute since I hauled anything. Picked up at walgreens:
Loreal signature liquid lip in the shade “I represent” and Revlon lipsticks in the shade “berry rich” and “rose and shine.” I really wanted a dupe for nars “barbarella” as mine was so old and smelled weird. I also didn’t want to spend that kind of money. So glad to find something comparable using this site.

This weekend I need to clean and get my taxes done. It won’t be a very fun weekend but it’s gotta happen. My house is a pit atm.

I haven’t listened to much music lately but I did attend a KoRn concert last weekend. I also do need to check out the new lady gaga song.

Seraphine Avatar

Haul: I just got a raise at work and did some celebratory shopping. I bought a Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in the shade Violet and a bottle of Chanel No. 19 EDP, which goes on really intense, but dries down to soft, green gorgeousness.

Weekend plans: Visit family, chores, catching up on the first two episodes of “Better Call Saul” before the third one airs on Monday.

What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately? “It’s Coming It’s Real” by Swans, “The Dancer” by PJ Harvey (why oh why doesn’t she write or sing like THIS anymore??), “Fire Drills” by Dessa, and “Set the Grass on Fire” by Elysian Fields, plus Nick Cave’s album “Ghosteen.” And I’m currently binging on Tori Amos albums.

Mariella Avatar

Haul: MAC Rosy Does It Glow Play Blush – it was the only one of the colours I was interested in that wasn’t sold out and it applied so beautifully and subtly (I was afraid it would be scary bright but it doesn’t have to be) that I decided to grab it; it also happened to be the last one left in stock so it was meant to be; UD Corrupt liner, Soap and Glory Body Butter, O’Keefe’s Overnight Hand Cream (I think it’s a new formula and and addition to their “Working Hands” line); I wanted to get Farsali Rose Gold Facial Mist, which Sephora’s site said was available at my local store but when I got there – nada!!!
Weekend plans: My friend is coming to stay. We’ll do some fabric shopping on Saturday and then hubs will join us for dinner at a great German place that’s been unchanged since the late 70’s. Sunday, we’ll have brunch at our local golf course, unless I decide to make brunch here. Hubs and I will hit the gym Saturday, before my friend arrives.
Music on repeat – nothing really but I’ve recently started listening to (the late) Eva Cassidy. She did covers of some wonderful songs and I’d never heard of her til a few weeks ago and I’ve been listening to her CDs in my car this past week.

Genevieve Avatar

I am a great fan of Eva Cassidy from way back when Fields of Gold was first released. A beautiful singer and interpreter of many songs. Very relaxing music and she sings in a wide range of styles.
It’s a lovely way to spend a Saturday evening with friends at a restaurant, have a good weekend.

Mariella Avatar

Genevieve, I’d never even heard of her til about a week ago when our Google home “thingy” played her version of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. I heard it and I was hooked and wanted to know who she was, learn more about her, and was kind of shocked to learn she died of malignant melanoma at quite a young age…so sad. And so, once again, my “Antipodean Twin”, we have the same tastes!

Genevieve Avatar

Eva Cassidy’s day job was landscape designer come gardner, which is where she acquired her skin cancer – I don’t think there was much in the way of sunscreens in those days.
My other favourite singers are Linda Rondstat, Emmy Lou Harris and Karen Carpenter – have all of their albums.
One singer you might really like too is Tina Arena – she’s Australian, but lived in France for many years and has even put out some French albums. Anything by her is great too.

Mariella Avatar

Oh – Emmy Lou is someone I absolutely ADORE! And do you remember Sandy Denny (from, among other groups, Fairport Convention and The Strawbs)? I was so surprised to read about her a few years ago and learn she’d been mentally ill and suicidal for quite some time and twice threw herself down stairs in attempts to end her life (or perhaps as a cry for help). I believe the 2nd attempt was “successful”. The voice of an angel but such a troubled soul….

Lauren Avatar

Purchases/Rediscoveries: your fellow Sydney Grace nerd here got three more shadows to round out my nine pan palette. They’re beyootiful. Like buttah. Tiara is unreal. Thanks for the 15% code 😉 Otherwise, I’ve been going back to my Etude House Strawberry Choux blush all week.

Weekend plans: movie with friends (I say that every weekend lol), working at home, celebrating a family birthday, bothering my cat. She is extra smooshy in winter. Mellan looks cute!

? on repeat: actually I’ve been mostly listening to different stations to hear music I haven’t heard before!

Nancy T Avatar

Mellan looks how I have felt all this week! ?

Haul: I just placed an order for the Sugarpill C1 Capsule Palette! Other than that, just been rediscovering all my old MAC singles and MUFE palettes.

Weekend plans: PACKING. Oy vey, do I feel daunted just looking at everything! Hundreds of receipts and old documents to be shredded, except I have NO paper shredder. Then there’s the packing up of many thousands of $’s of makeup, too. I want no casualties!

Songs on repeat? Is it from the 80’s? Then I’m probably listening to it constantly! Especially 80’s and 90’s Punk, Dark Wave, New Wave, Post-punk Goth.

Genevieve Avatar

Your apartment sounds lovely Nancy – it doesn’t have to be huge but just nicely turned out. And being closer to your adult kids and friends is so important.
I even feel from way over here that this will be a good move for you.

Ana Maria Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: Nothing new, but I plan to take advantage over the weekend of the MAC 20/25% off sale. I just need to decide on the final cart.

Weekend plans: Be outside and enjoy as much as I can of the wonderful weather.

What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately?: I actually rarely listen music, and when I do it’s random radio stations in my car. I mostly listen podcast and audiobooks.

AJ Avatar

Haul: Nothing this week. I signed up to be part of the trial to test Sephora’s thing where you could use points to get a $ discount, but I decided there was nothing I felt like buying. I did get two NYX lip liners last week when I was down in Oregon.

Rediscovery: I had to wear blue lipstick for a dance performance this past weekend and I chose Bite Beauty Squid Ink with some sparkly blue pigment from Aromaleigh (one of the beetle-themed ones). I was reminded how much I love that combination!

Weekend plans: After being gone for 3 weekends in a row I’m looking forward to being home, sleeping in, and snuggling with my spouse! Tonight is just a quiet night at home. Tomorrow I’ve got a massage and we’ll go out for dinner and ice cream. Sunday we have game night with friends. In between, probably errands and chores. Tomorrow I really need to reorganize my palette crate, for instance. I keep taking palettes out and just piling them back on top and it’s a mess and things are going to start falling down!

Music on repeat: Well since I haven’t really been home, I haven’t really been listening to a lot of music. So let’s just go with the songs I’ve performed to recently, since those were what I’ve heard most often as I learned and practiced!
Send Me An Angel – DeadStar Assembly (for the blue lipstick performance)
Jingo – Crow Quill Night Owls (for performing with my troupe)
Mawal Jamar – Soap&Skin (for my solo performance)
Mazamir Holiday – Upper Egypt Ensemble (group performance at a retreat in Costa Rica)

Haul: I hadn’t purchased anything makeup related for a hot minute so I did treat myself to the Chanel lip palette and I am likely going to get one of the quads also but just haven’t decided which one. I am still holding off on skin care purchases until the spring Sephora sale. In the meantime, I am doing some research to decide what I want to get. I came really close to purchasing a couple of the Ofra liquid lip in Santa Monica and Atlantic City as Kathleen Lights used them together in her pink look YT video. I have been obsessed with the look and in particular the shade of lipstick she was wearing. I hadn’t watched one of her videos in a hot minute so it really got me. In the end, I restrained myself as I am sure I have a million dupes or close enough shades but egad it was pretty. Oh, and the other reason I undoubtedly loved it is the fact that she actually has some lips, LOL.

Weekend plans: I have a funeral to go to. My mother’s cousin passed away and she wants to go to the funeral. Her cousin has been living in a LTC facility for many years now after suffering a stroke. It happened to be the LTC where I worked for the last several months of my nursing career so I had a bit more of a connection to my mom’s cousin than I normally would. She couldn’t speak so I would visit with her and tell her what was going on in the family, etc. It has been so unseasonably warm that I will probably work a little in my yard. I still have hopes for a little more snow but I can still get some things ready. I mean, it has been in the 50’s here in the middle of February, for heaven’s sake.

Music: I love all music except extreme bluegrass and most hip hop. But, I have a huge period of time where I didn’t really listen to much music and that would be the 80’s and early 90’s. I was working too hard and then taking care of a premature baby. From the time she was about 4 she found music and so I know a lot of late 90’s music. So, my car radio is tuned to Sirius Classic Vinyl and then I have some newer music that I listen to thanks to my daughter. I have seen 21 Pilots, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Tori Kelly, etc in concert and love their music. Music is very important to me and I mark a lot of my life in terms of what music I was listening to at the time. Frankly though, I mostly feel that really great music ended about the mid 70’s.
I know I mention my daughter a lot here on the blog but we are very close. She has the same feeling about music that I do and her interests are the same as mine. When she was really young she only listened to classic rock because that was what was on the radio when we drove places. Consequently, she loves classic rock and then current music which is exactly the same as my preference.

brendacr1 Avatar

Deborah, That sounds a little like my son and myself. He was home with me a lot and I had the stereo on all the time, he listened to my music from the 70s and 80s and now he’s still listening to the music, and going to the concerts with his girlfriend, when the old bands get back together. He sends me live concert texts all the time and I guess where he is. My husband and I travel around North America going to concerts. I believe music shapes our lives.

Deborah S. Avatar

Yes, music is hugely important in my life and I take advantage of seeing almost anyone who comes close enough to actually be feasible to see. I hadn’t intended to see Harry Styles but my daughter has had a “crush” on him since early high school. I paid for her and three of her friends to see One Direction in concert in Seattle. After the band went on hiatus and Harry started out on his own, she continued to love him. So she purchased a ticket to see him in Seattle and I went over with her. The night before the concert she asked me if I would like to go because she had seen that there were a few tickets left. Actually, 2 and they were both behind the sound booth consequently, no one had wanted them. So, I purchased and about half way through the performance, he did a couple of numbers from the sound booth which was the second stage. I could have reached out and touched him! My daughter was close, about the 5th row but I was really close. The funny thing was the seat next to me which was the other one avaiable was also a mother. She and I had a great time singing all the songs. etc. I told my daughter later that Harry was probably shocked to see us old ladies partying to his music and we both knew all the words. I really enjoyed his concert. It is wonderful that you and your husband do that. There are so many more I would love to see but time, money and other family issues come into play. I do go at least 3 or 4 times a year.

Genevieve Avatar

It was lovely of you to spend time with your mother’s cousin after she had her stroke. Quite often people in that condition become neglected by their relatives and sometimes they find it confronting and challenging when visiting.
The weather is totally all over the place here too. Our summer has been a cycle of warm heat, extreme heat and humidity, thunderstorms and then quite cool/cold weather and repeat.
So I have swung from wearing summer clothes, to autumn clothes to winter clothes (including having my electric blanket on, on some nights). So predicting the weather more than two weeks at a time has been tricky.

Deborah S. Avatar

Yes, having a stroke and one that involves our ability to communicate can make it difficult for some family to stay in touch with them and then they become uncomfortable and just stop going to visit. She and I had a lot of non-verbal communication and of course, writing notes.
As far as the weather goes, at least you have a government that actually believes in climate change and are on the cutting edge of attempts to control it. I won’t live to see the drastic changes but my daughter will and most agree that we have probably lost the window to have any serious impact. Of course with COVID-19 we may have other problems bigger in the foreseeable future.

Genevieve Avatar

I’m not sure that our government is that progressive re climate change – but they certainly have been forced into it by recent tragic events and by various scientific evidence of such.
In a land as hot and dry as ours, water conservation measures and solar energy technology should have been at the forefront of government planning decades ago…such a waste.
And as you have said, we have a new, bad virus to contend with.

Haul/Rediscoveries: PMG Luxetrance in Sorry Not Sorry — it pulls so dark and purple on me compared to swatches, but it’s stark and kind of cool. Definitely a statement lip!
Weekend plans: Work! I need to catch up on some freelance projects, and then I should be good to go. Hoping to catch an episode of something with my husband, but we’re both pretty busy most nights. I’d also like to experiment with baking at some point this weekend.
Music: Niall Horan’s “Nice to Meet You.” Such an earworm and I’m not even mad.

Genevieve Avatar

I know exactly how you feel Mellon! I’m like that in the mornings too.

Haul: Apart from my Colour Pop order arriving (4 of my favourite lippies -Foolish, Gallop, Tea Thyme and LA Lady), nothing else. It’s a big birthday week coming up.
Rediscoveries: Maybelline’s Burgundy Bar – for beautiful champagne shades

Weekend Plans: We had a look at the house that our sons’ are considering buying together and absolutely love it. Last week they were both in discussion with a broker, who approved their loan capabilities, so we are hoping and crossing fingers that they can get the property. It has an unusual layout that would not suit many and the location is perfect for all concerned. We are going back for a third viewing on Saturday.
This coming week will be Olivia’s 6th birthday and my husband’s 70th – so big celebrations are planned for the respective days. Lots of cooking and preparations.
Sunday – I hope to have some time in our garden, clearing out all the weeds that have grown up with both the heat and rain.

Songs on repeat: I am favouring Tina Arena at the moment and have her album Eleven on repeat and Thelma Plum as well.

Genevieve Avatar

Thank you Wednesday. The house is just what they have been looking for and it’s the only way they will get to own anything here in Melbourne Australia. It is so expensive. We are crossing our fingers a lot.
I think I am going to be chained to the kitchen this week….

Genevieve Avatar

Thank you Rachel. The house they are looking at has two separate levels of living – Level 1 has its own entry, with a lounge room, two bedrooms, huge bathroom and kitchen. This would be for David. Upstairs has 3 large bedrooms, plus study. A sensational kitchen and laundry area (Anika is just over the moon over the dishwasher!), a large lounge and smaller dining area. Outside are two under cover decks, plus a large uncovered deck that could be covered in to make another large living area. The master bedroom has its own ensuite too. The backyard has been paved, decked and has a children’s playground area… plus only being 50 metres from the local shops, a kilomentre from Olivia’s school. We are so, so hoping that nobody else likes the unusual layout.
The only way they can both afford a place is to go in together. Renting is awful here as well.
Thank you for the birthday wishes too. March must be the month. Happy birthday to your brother on the 9th and to your son for the 24th.

Rachel R. Avatar

The house sounds wonderful, and just perfect for two families.

Yes, March is big for birthdays here, too. My other (late) brother’s was the 8th, my husband’s is the 28th (it was his late grandfather’s as well), and Brandon’s is the 31st. Aaric’s due date was actually on my brother’s March 9 birthday, but he was impatient even in the womb. lol

Heather Avatar

Recently purchased Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush in the shade Rose Romance. It’s highly pigmented, you need very little and it has a beautiful finish on the skin.

Weekend Plans: mom/daughter manicures, son’s soccer game, looking forward to quality family time with husband and kids.

Songs I’ve had on repeat all week are from a 70’s rock band called “Ambrosia”. Some favourites are: Baby Come Back, Biggest Part of Me, and How Much I Feel. Was feeling a bit nostalgic…

brendacr1 Avatar

Ah Mellan, I can relate!

Haul/Rediscoveries: I bought a Dermaflash from Sephora, it was on sale and my old one died. I had 15% off from Sephora so I also purchased, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum (I used a sample bottle on vacation and I think it was really making a difference on my
hyperpigmentation), Fenty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara and The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density.

Weekend plans: I had a migraine all week, we did have beautiful weather though. So now I have to catch up on the housework, my sister is coming to visit next week. Also, my husband’s shop was broken into this week so we are going shopping for security cameras and such because he now wants to make our house more secure.

What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately?: “Lose You to Love You” Selena Gomez, can’t think of anything else, I usually have the radio on all day.

Genevieve Avatar

OMG – how awful that your husband’s shop was burgled – what a shock for you both. I hope the thieves didn’t steal too much from you or wrecked the store. An event like this would make you more security conscious, that’s for sure.
I hope your migraine is better now Brenda, it is so debilitating. Are you on medication for it?
I hope you have a better week.

Nikki Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: No new makeup, but after an errand earlier in the week, I stopped by a Bargain Hunt store and bought 2 bags-a magic-carpet print Fantasia Accessories purse from the live-action Aladdin with a squishy plastic Jasmine charm tied to one of the handles and an orange/navy leopard print 3.1 Phillip Lim weekender tote from Target’s Design for All 20th anniversary reissue collection-I got a blazer in the same print during the reissue sale last year and I’m happy to now have the matching tote!
Weekend plans: Ran errands and received our new dryer today, work all day and SVU marathon tomorrow, not sure about Sunday.
What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately?: Chris Isaak’s cover of Roy Orbison’s “Only the Lonely,” Shawn Mendes’ “If I Can’t Have You,” Daughtry’s cover of Sia’s “Alive,” Fitz and the Tantrums’ “I Just Wanna Shine”.

Tiffany Avatar

I got the Sailor Moon palette and lipcolors. The palette is a pretty wild color scheme with no transition shades so it will be interesting to try out. I bought some glitterally obsessed gels from Colourpop but i don’t know why- i don’t know what i am supposed to do with them. Got the Natasha Denona Diamond and Blush sets- Darya and Citrus- because they were half off.

Tracey E Avatar

Haul: Macy’s ($10 Star Reward): MAC Rosy Does It blush and Patchology Eye Perfecting Trio: Rejuvenating, Illuminating, and Restoring Eye Gels.

Selfridges: Bobbi Brown x Morag Myerscough (London-based artist) collection: Play.Dream.Love Eye Palette, Golden Rose Glow Highlighting Powder and Rosy Dream Crushed Lip Color. The packaging is stunning in person. The eyeshadows are cool and warm shades and require building up. A cream shadow base gives the shades more vibrancy and staying power on my oily eyelids. The highlighter is close to my skintone with a hint of gold, so I’ve been mixing it with BB’s Illuminating Moisture Balm to make it more vibrant. The lipstick is a basic rose shade but a little boring for this collection.

Weekend Plans: I have a lot of paperwork to catch up on though hope to enjoy the outdoors if we reach 50F on Sunday.

Songs on Repeat: Snow Patrol’s Wildness album, George Michael’s cover of A Long and Winding Road, U2 Summer of Love, and some Glass Tiger (went down a rabbit hole of my youth not long ago).

Stephanie Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: Kiko heart blush & highlighter from their 2020 Valentine’s collection finally came and they are so nice! Rediscovered NYX Foil Play eyeshadow in Polished
Weekend plans: Laundry, door to door canvassing for get out the vote, grocery store, cook dinner. Nothing exciting!
What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately?: I have recently started listening to more new wave music, including French new wave from the 80s, so it is a lot of that.

Haul:
*PML — OpuLUST Lip Gloss in Lavendaring. Sooooooo pretty!!!
*Target — E.l.f. Blush (round compact) in Bright Pink and Blushing. Also, the Pucker Up Beauty Box. It’s a really good one! Burt’s Bees Moisturizing Lip Mask and Lip Shimmer in Peony; Dr. Bonner’s Peppermint Organic Lip Balm; Milani Bold Color Statement Lipstick in I am Confident; Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in Plums Up; St Yves Sweet Passion Fruit Lip Scrub, and a cooling gel lip mask (I don’t see a brand name on it. It’s just market Target Beauty).
*Amazon — Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, and NYX Concealer Wands in Yellow and Green.

Rediscoveries: UD x Basquiat Vice Lipstick in Epigram and Abstract.

Weekend plans: Saturday, I’m getting a new stud for my nose piercing. I’ve had a ring in for about a year, and I just find I like studs much more. Then my hubby and I are taking my son out after work for a hair cut and lunch. We also need to help him take his guinea pig to the vet for his annual checkup. My older son wasn’t up to celebrating his birthday last weekend, so Sunday he’s having a friend over to play video games, and we’ll be going all be going out to his birthday dinner. I also need to take some clothes to Good Will.

What are some songs you’ve had on repeat lately? Blutengel’s latest album; Billie Eilish “No Time to Die”

Genevieve Avatar

I think the stud would look lovely on you Rachel – will it be gold or silver?
It’s great when your kids are adults and you can go out for lunch and dinner – we really enjoy our restaurant times with our family too. I hope the birthday boy enjoys having his friend over and the birthday dinner.

Waving to Mellan with his eye half on me.

Haul: BITE Power Move in Pastille (I still want to pick up Hard Cider), Hourglass Confession ultra slim in Everytime (I finally decided on the shade) Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear in colour green (stupid expensive) so I can tweak my foundations, Tatcha The Deep Cleanse (After commenting I rarely get acne spots, I’m getting acne spots, wth?) Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer (mini – the blurring one), PMG concealer in L6 which is an almost perfect skintone match for me, PMG whatever the setting powder is called

Weekend Plans: We’ve just experienced a 3 day blizzard. I haven’t shovelled for the past 2 days and the guy who blows out my driveway could not keep up. He had blown a path for me to get out yesterday so I could go to town to get groceries, but by the time I got back, my driveway was all drifted in. I had white-knuckled it home and basically aimed my car as best as possible (couldn’t see jack) and gunned it and made it back and into my garage safely. We’re going nowhere and I was supposed to go out on a luncheon date… I joined a dating website, but that’s a whole ‘nuther story ??????.. Lots of guy without teeth hitting on me. Eeeewwww.

Music I’ve been listening to: I’m currently obsessed with the Album Far Out Dust by Talos (indie alternative), the songs 2AM, Let Go and The Flood being my top jams.

Genevieve Avatar

Gosh – a 3 day blizzard – we can only dream of something like that here in Melbourne Australia. At the most, we get a bit of a dusting once a year. In the nearby hills there can be a light snow fall or two per winter.
But I guess it isn’t fun on a daily basis, especially when you have to go shopping for essentials and find your driveway snowed in…..
Re the dating website, you crack me up Wednesday about the guys ‘hitting on you”
Double yuck.
