Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette ($39.00 for 0.40 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that takes inspiration from the brand’s original Electric palette, which came out in 2014 (and has since been discontinued). The new version includes Chaos, Savage and Slowburn, which are repeated shades from the Electric palette, while shades like Jolt and Gravity are extremely similar to Thrash and Urban (respectively) from the Electric palette. Based on the images above, you can probably tell that there is a drastic difference–and not in a good way–between the new and old palettes.

Medium, Olive, neutral undertones. Combination skin.

A drastic difference is right. Yeowchies. They should have left it alone. Electric was fine the way it was. ?

I’m hearing mixed things about this palette so far, as far as performance. Colorwise, I prefer the super-neon Electric Palette, but I’m sure many people will prefer that this one isn’t so over-the-top bright. I remember a lot of influencers saying the Electric Palette was only something they’d use for Halloween, or that they were afraid it would make them “look like a clown.” It’s nice that they separated the non-eye pigments and labeled them.

Good thing I have the Electric palette because those comparison photos to this new Wired palette show that it is not an improvement. I feel like nowadays with so much competition, there is little room for error in the eye shadow business. I go back and forth as far as like and dislike on UD as it is. Oh well, saves me money! Thank you for being so detailed, as always!

Very Light, Pink, slight pink undertones. Oily skin.

This is exactly what I said. It’s nice, I’m glad they made it, it’s not as good as the original and in this market, as competitive as it is, I consider this a fail sooner than a success.

–oh, to their credit, each color has its own unique formula, which is somewhat rare. Here’s the full ingredient list in case anyone is interested and some of the boxes aren’t working for them either. (Slowburn, Switch, Savage, Gravity)

I still have my Electric palette but must say I don’t know if If used it. I do love blues and greens and really admire Christine’s use of them here. Not criticizing the red/orange look. It’s just not my look.

Yikes. I’m glad you included the comparisons with the Electric look. Those blues and greens look atrocious.
