I’m definitely interested in the palette, and 3 of the glosses, so I’ll probably go for the bundle. I don’t know if I’ll get much use from the liners, but they are very pretty.

Millennial pink palette with not one shade of millennial pink in it? I know it’s dumb, but when a collection has a theme it really bugs me when the products aren’t on theme.

This is the first official Melt Cosmetics release that actively dislike and won’t be purchasing. As I’m on a low-buy for a few more months I’m freaking estatic about it. Melt is usually a company where I have to buy their stuff just to collect.

I’m guessing pink is the new orange/red color combo for makeup. I love pinky/mauve makeup but I think I’m covered with Natasha Denona Love palette, ABH Amrezy palette and PMG Rose Venus and Golden Opulence palettes. But I do love pink and gray together. I’ll wait for this to come to Sephora, since the last time I ordered from Melt one of the eye shadows was broken and made a mess, they did send a replacement single eye shadow to me. But the palette was a gift and didn’t look pristine after crumbled eye shadow spilled all over it!

I want to see actual swatches but I like the idea of adding pink shades with grey . Kind of cool even if there are a lot of pink palettes on the market. I may try out since I don’t have too many light pink shades .

This is one palette that I would have liked to be able to see in real life before buying, (if I were interested) since the swatches are just so off… Just look at shade no 2 in the palette, pink leather. It looks like a white/beige pink base colour. But in the swatches it looks like a peach/pink transition colour. The first colour also looks very different on different skin tones which it very well might do in real life but not in a fully opaque swatch.
Also the lip colour on the model does not seem to reflect any of the lip glosses. She has a pretty opaque glossy lip that looks stunning. But you will not be able to achieve that look with just the lipglosses included in the collection.
Bottom line the swatches are very misleading here.

Lucky for those interested in Barbie pink stuff that Christine will come to the rescue eventually with some real swatches!
To be honest I find it rather intimidating towards all potential customers on the makeup market that we have to endure all this super fake marketing… It is debilitating.

As for this collection. I think the gel liners look pretty though. Interesting to see how well they swatch.

Grays? I see a black, a silver, and a dark/charcoal gray. The comments are right on about the photoshopping. But I drop dead love the silver accent in the crease. I’ve been playing with color in the crease with a neutral, usually gray or taupe look. Fun. The crease is like the last frontier, for s.t. different in your look.

Similar to the Viseart Paris Edit, I’m surprised how much I like this. The ND Love palette was not up my alley but I do like the mix of soft pinks, rose tones and grays. I enjoy having a bit of contrast in a palette, so this feels like a fun valentine’s themed palette for those who want a different style of look.

I will probably still have to pass on this one though. I’m wary of Melt’s formula, even without the Beauty News controversy it just doesn’t seem like their metallics formula is up to par, and at nearly 60 USD for their average palettes having poor quality metallics and/or puffiness/issues with their palettes just isn’t worth the risk even if I’ve loved their color stories and general uniqueness.

And well…. the swatches leave much to be desired. I’m wary of brands who just post blatantly fake swatches. At that point it kind of feels like why even bother? I’m looking forward to reviews on this, but I feel it’s a safe pass for me this season.
