Coral Lipstick
Just likes for me! I find there is a huge assortment in depth and tone, so
there are a lot of ways to wear it. It’s the type of color that brightens my face up most of the time, too!

Because I have medium – warm toned skin, Coral lipstick always makes my skin come alive. However, because there are so many tones of coral, the ones that are too pink do not look good on me. I am always looking for more warm toned corals.
Christine, what is the coral lipstick you are wearing?
The image on the post? Revlon Blushed.
I love the idea of coral lipstick, especially during the warm weather months, but I have yet to find one that suits my skin tone. I’m very, very fair, with a pinkish undertone, and all I ever seem to find are corals with a milky undertone that not only look terrible on me, but remind me of the coral lipsticks my grandmother used to wear (no offense, Nanna!).
I have a similar skin tone as you and my all time favorite coral lipstick is Nars Niagara. I’ve worn it for seven years. I try others but none compare. It’s not too pale, and not to bright, but just enough to brighten your face. 🙂
Love that it feels like springtime and looks fresh. For myself I prefer it to be medium-dark to a deeper tone of coral. But I will wear an orange-coral clear up to a pinker coral with no issue. Brownish coral nudes, too.
What I hate on myself are most lighter coral shades as they truly clash with my olive undertone. Especially lighter orange pulling corals like MAC Sushi Kiss. They make me look GREEN.
I agree with the lighter coral shades! For me, it’s lighter corals that have a neon or pale base.
Nancy T,
I have the same skin color and tones as you, what coral lipstick do you like?
Lipsticks usually show up pinkier on my lips. So a sheer orange shade usually appears coral on me, like the good old Electric Orange from Maybelline. But I actually don’t own any coral lipsticks 🙂
I can only wear it sheer, and leaning orange. IDK why it clashes so much, esp the opaque pinky corals. Aging! I used to have no issue. Find myself envying coral looking so good on others, because it’s sooo pretty. I think it’s the concentrated hit you get with a lip product. A tad on the eyes, or blended out blush looks fine.
It’s a shade range where I’m ambivalent. I can wear those leaning more pink, but like reds, they don’t jive with my overall aesthetic.
Muted corals are a MLBB color but lipstick formulas in general can be hard to agree with my lips.
On me corals are so prone to settling into my lip lines. I think it’s because they often have white base. I’ve never found a proper one tbh.
As long as it’s a warm toned coral, I’m a happy camper. Brightening, youth-ifying. As with blush, probably my surest-fire color.
I am not a coral lipstick wearer, but my daughter in law is – the shade suits her so well. It’s the kind of shade that works well with everything she wears. I have given her some really warm toned corals like Clarin’s Joli Rouge Coral Tulip and EA’s Honeysuckle.
I have many coral lipsticks and can wear a broad range and usually do more so in the warmer months. Please bring on the warmer months we’re getting January weather here in Alberta!
I love coral lipsticks! With my medium tanned olive skin they look amazing. I definitely lean towards the warmer, more orangey corals, rather than the pink corals as they just turn pink on me. And some lighter corals are too chalky on me.
Some corals look good on me but I have to avoid those that lean too orange. I agree that corals look great on you Christine. I’ve always noticed that.
All loves from me. I think red-corals are one of the most flattering lipstick shades on me (MAC La Vie En Rouge = Perfection). I love the variety: Red-, orange-, and pink-leaning. There is a shade for almost everyone.
I like coral as a color because it always feels very fresh and springy, but I have yet to find a shade that looks right when I put it on. I’m quite fair with cool undertones so I lean toward blue based shades in general but I haven’t found my shade yet.
