Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair

Cool-tones or warm-tones? Cool tones work much better on my eyes, but I tend toward neutral tones for my cheeks and lips.

Lipstick or lipgloss? Definitely lipstick! I don’t like lipgloss.

Blush or highlighter? Blush. I don’t always wear highlighter, but I always wear blush.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair neutral
Cool-tones or warm-tones? I like both, but probably go for warm
Lipstick or lipgloss? Gloss!
Blush or highlighter? That’s tough – maybe a glowy blush

Lauren Avatar

Tone/Coloring: pale, neutral, brown hair and blueish eyes.

Cool or warm tones: Cool for sure. A lot of the products marketed for cool tones I still find to run warm. Sometimes I can do peachy colors if they’re bright enough.

Lipstick or lipgloss: lipstick generally but I like the liquid lip tints from several Korean brands like Clio, Peripera and I’m Meme.

Blush or highlighter: Blush!! The makeup love of my life.

Your skin tone/coloring: Deep dark neutral
Cool-tones or warm-tones? Warm tones
Lipstick or lipgloss? Depends on the day. I like gloss more these days.
Blush or highlighter? Blush

Ana Maria Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with yellow warm undertones, dark brown hair and eyes.

Cool-tones or warm-tones? Cool-tones, maybe some neutrals

Lipstick or lipgloss? Lipstick, I never liked lipgloss

Blush or highlighter? Blush, I’m not a fan of highlighters either

Heather Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light/medium, neutral undertone

Cool-tones or warm-tones? I will wear either but lean toward cool or neutral tones

Lipstick or lipgloss? Lipgloss, although I mostly wear lip balm more than anything

Blush or highlighter? Hate having to chose but since highlight has been a more recent discovery, I will say blush. I could not go without blush, it’s an absolute must have for me!

Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Cool-tones or warm-tones? Cool tones look vastly better on me, but I can sometimes add a warm tone to an overall cool look.
Lipstick or lipgloss? Lipstick.
Blush or highlighter? Generally blush.

Skin tone/coloring: fair light neutral

Cool or warm-tones: Hmmm… I’m drawn more to cool overall but generally blend both and never cool on my lips (is that weird?)

Lipstick or lipgloss: Both have their place, generally not both at once, gloss just makes lipstick gooey. Casual: almost always gloss

Blush or highlighter: Both, but glow-y or highly reflective blushes from (for example) ND (especially) or Hourglass will suffice.

Ana Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-Medium, Olive neutral undertones
Cool-tones or warm-tones? Warm tones all the way. I find that cool tones wash me off.
Lipstick or lipgloss? Both 🙂 it’s like choosing a favourite son !
Blush or highlighter? Highlighhter is life <3

Mariella Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Cool-tones or warm-tones? cool all the way!
Lipstick or lipgloss? 90% of the time, it’s lipstick
Blush or highlighter? Again, while I love highlighter, 90% of the time, it’s blush (though a “highlighting” blush (like the d/c’d Becca ones or MAC’s ED blushes) is the perfect solution.

Genevieve Avatar

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Cool-tones or warm-tones? Actually both! My skin tone is cool – with the pink undertones and my eye colour is blue/grey. But my hair shade is coppery red. So I can use both cool and warm toned eyeshadows (as long as its not pink, red, orange etc). My twin sister did my colours and we found that I was autumn/winter warm.

Lipstick or lipgloss? Definitely a lipstick person. I never wear lipgloss

Blush or highlighter? Blush – blush adds colour and dimension to my face that highlighter cannot do.
