Survey Says... March 11th, 2020
Happy Wednesday! Here's this week's survey, which you can copy and paste and share as a comment.
- Your skin tone/coloring:
- Most used blush of all time?
- Most used lipstick of all time?
- Most used foundation of all time?
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Most used blush of all time? Probably Glossier Cloud paint in Beam… It’s the one I’ve had the longest and it’s in my project pan. Everything else has been cycled out over the years. I’ve never loved a blush enough to keep it for a very long time, but I’m finally finding some favorites and some techniques that actually make the blush look nice on my cheeks.
Most used lipstick of all time? Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Musk. I’m DETERMINED to finish it by the end of the year. It’s in my project pan. And Tom Ford Casablanca. I actually panned a mini a couple of months ago. It lasted such a long time!
Most used foundation of all time? Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream. Not a foundation, but still my most used base products. Same as with the blush question: I’ve been into make up for the last 10ish years, but I’ve only recently discovered some foundations/BB creams that I really like on my skin.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, Neutral
Most used blush of all time? Guerlain – Meteorites Happy Glow Blush. Have yet to hit pan 2 years later
Most used lipstick of all time? Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in Marie (430). Before it was discontinued it was Guerlain’s Kiss Kiss Maxi Shine in 645 Toffee Shine
Most used foundation of all time? Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B10
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertones, dark brown hair and eyes
Most used blush of all time? MAC Breath of Plum
Most used lipstick of all time? MAC Diva, other colors I switch different shades, but for a deep burgundy is always DIva
Most used foundation of all time? Estee Lauder Double Wear, I tend to go back to it from time to time
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Most used blush of all time? Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush (MAC Sweet Sentiment is a close 2nd but I despair of finishing it, as it was LE)
Most used lipstick of all time? no question – MAC Craving
Most used foundation of all time? IT CC cream
I do hope MAC does a relaunch of their blushes, as the latest eyeshadow one, so we can see many discontinued and limited edition favorites back!
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair
Most used blush of all time? NARS Orgasm. Though I rarely use it anymore, I went through several pans of it in my past.
Most used lipstick of all time? Laura Mercier’s Discretion is the only lipstick I’ve ever used up and replaced several times over until it was sadly discontinued.
Most used foundation of all time? I used Revlon Colorstay for at least 15 years before I discovered my HG foundation, Estée Lauder Double Wear a few years ago.
Omg that was exactly the same as me with Revlon and now Estee Lauder which is my all time HG foundation now!!
Your skin tone/coloring: light to medium with yellow undertones, dark brown eyes, black hair
Most used blush of all time? Tarte Exposed
Most used lipstick of all time? Revlon Pink Truffle lip butter or Urban Decay Sheer Liar revolution lipstick
Most used foundation of all time? Neutrogena Healthy Skin I used for year but haven’t in a while, so more recently it’s Wet n Wild PhotoFocus
Joyce, I love those two lippies! Almost done with my second tube of Sheer Liar.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair-neutral skin, light hair/eyes.
Most used blush of all time? Laura Mercier Apricot Berry.
Most used lipstick of all time? Probably either UD Sheer Liar or Revlon Pink Truffle—the pink truffle was the PERFECT mlbb and I still miss the scent. 🙂
Most used foundation of all time? It Cosmetics CC cream — I’ve gone through more than one of the supersized tubes.
We had the same answers for lip!
Haha that’s fantastic! I’m glad we were both able to find such a great replacement after they discontinued those lip butters — I’m still disappointed, though!
LOL yes I still say I’m salty about it all these years later. I still haven’t found a perfect replacement for its lovely texture and color, though! I also loved the packaging. I love quilted anything lol
Coloring: lt-med warm. blue-green eyes, lt. golden brown/sometimes coppery hair
Blush: NARS Orgasm – only blush I’ve ever re-bought
Lipstick: a warm, shimmery toffee from ancient times/a warm, shimmery (detect a theme here?) lt. pink-lavender, too many decades ago to remember the brand, but it was niche and “natural”
Foundation: IT CC Cream
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most used blush of all time? E.l.f. Studio Blushes and Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blushes. If we’re talking a single shade, probably Tarte Exposed.
Most used lipstick of all time? Wet n Wild x Fergie Perfect Pout Lip Color in Bebot Love (DC) and UD Sheer Rapture (counting both Revolution and Vice versions).
Most used foundation of all time? BareMinerals Original Foundation SPF 15 in Fair
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes).
Most used blush of all time? Of my entire life? Probably Nyx Pinched or WnW Pearlescent Pink.
Most used lipstick of all time? Again, in my entire life: Revlon Pink In The Afternoon or Almay Cherry Matte, both back in the 80’s and early 90’s because I didn’t have very many lipsticks back then. There was also a brownish shade by some now defunct brand who’s name won’t come to me. I went through several tubes of it!
Most used foundation of all time? Revlon Colorstay from its very beginning until only 5 years ago.
Skintone/Coloring: Fairly light, very neutral; dark-featured.
Blush: I went through a few pans of Revlon Sandalwood Beige through the 90s, used as a contour, before contouring became “a thing”. Blush is not something I tend to experiment with, and I don’t care for intense shades, so it wasn’t until only a few years ago that I’ve tried anything new…
Lipstick: L’Oreal Tendre Mauve. It’s been long discontinued, but I actually finished a few of them over a period of about 10 years. As far as brand/formula, I’d have to say Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick, in various shades, although Black Cherry has seemed to always be in my collection…
Foundation: Probably Revlon ColorStay. It’s never been a “favorite”, but it has always been reliable, and I’ve always had a bottle on hand. Max Factor Pan-Stik was a staple in the late-80s through around 2007, when DCd in North America. I went through several between Middle School & High School, and even a few into my 30s… Unfortunately, while I did come upon a few HGs over the years, they were all DCd, so I was never able to use them for any significant amount of time…
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC 15-20
Most used blush of all time? NARS Orgasm
Most used lipstick of all time? MAC Velvet Teddy or Hug Me
Most used foundation of all time? Don’t have one. I typically use a foundation up and try something new the next go around!
I wish I could answer this survey but truth is, I rotate through a number of favourites that I can’t narrow each one down to just one product! I would love to have a most used for each category however I’d need to put about 4 for each as I tend to roll with the seasons.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair, neutral/yellow
Most used blush of all time? NARS Orgasm for me as well lol
Most used lipstick of all time? It’s a gloss but ABH girly I wear more than anything else
Most used foundation of all time?
Dior capture dream skin fresh and perfect cushion. This is more like a super light tinted moisturizer than a foundation.
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium deep
Most used blush of all time? M.A.C. Pleasure Model
Most used lipstick of all time? Pat McGrath Blow Up
Most used foundation of all time? Bobbi Brown
Your skin tone/coloring: Above, dark brown hair w/highlights, hazel eyes
Most used blush of all time? Nars Orgasm
Most used lipstick of all time? I’m always changing my lip colours so I don’t really have one favorite.
Most used foundation of all time? When I finish one I’m on to trying a new one, I’m finding with my aging skin I need less coverage, foundation clings to areas that should not be highlighted, so I’m not applying it all over my face any more, just to areas that need coverage.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Most used blush of all time? Peachy coral shades and it is the hard to get EA Sweet Peach palette.
Most used lipstick of all time? Hmmm – probably Milani’s Cinnamon Spice. I purchased several of these and have used most of them up. It is now sadly d/c.
Most used foundation of all time? My preferred one is Clarins Everlasting foundation in Linen, now d/c, but I have found that L’Oreal’s True Match in Porcelain Rose is a pretty good alternative.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, neutral to yellow
Most used blush of all time? I used to wear NARS seduction a lot (deep rosy plum) but now I’ve come to appreciate more subtle colors but there isn’t one I’ve been loyal to recently.
Most used lipstick of all time? I loved MAC’s plumful for years.
Most used foundation of all time? Covergirl Outlast stay fabulous foundation in Ivory. Lately, I’ve mixed it with a tinted moisturizer for dewier coverage, but it’s my go-to for events too.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/Light (MAC NW20), with dark brown hair and grey eyes
Most used blush of all time? MAC “Well Dressed” and Tarte “Exposed”
Most used lipstick of all time? Hmm, probably MAC “Modesty” and/or MAC “Syrup”
Most used foundation of all time? I don’t ever finish a foundation b/c I am a foundation HOARDER! For awhile, I was obsessed with Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation. They discontinued it, though, so I couldn’t re-use it even if I wanted to. 🙁
Your skin tone/coloring: light, yellow undertone
Most used blush of all time? not into blushes, but bronzers, but I like Tarte amazonian clay formula
Most used lipstick of all time? Bourjois Rouge Edition in 02 Beige Trench, received it free with a purchase and actually the shade looks so natural and good on my lips. The formula is more creamy, not drying.
Most used foundation of all time? Kryolan Ultra Cream Foundation, coverage can be sheered out, can be used with brush or sponge. Available in different sizes and comes in lots of shades.
