Rule the Roost is a deep, mustard yellow with warm undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque in one layer, while the texture was soft, smooth, and velvety without being too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before I noticed fading.
