Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair.

Lip product you’re most thankful for? MAC Love Me Lipsticks. Gorgeous finish and no feathering whatsoever. They just stay put! I have six of them and there are still shades I want (I’m looking at you Mon Coeur!), but I’m trying to be good.

Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? My favorite palettes change every week, but I think I’ll say Urban Decay Naked3 because it was the very first big palette I bought, and I gave it a lot of love for a very long time.

Blush you’re most thankful for? My first instinct is to say NARS Orgasm because it’s the first blush I fell in love with and I went through several of them. At the moment, though, I’m crushing on Clinique’s Cheek Pops.

What a lovely question.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name.

Lip product you’re most thankful for? I am not sure if we are going with specific shades or just general so I will answer both. Right this moment in time my favorite formula would be Pat McGrath LuxeTrance and my favorite shade would be Major Red.
Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? This is harder as it seems to change so often. As far as formula’s go I am going with Pat McGrath’s shimmer shades and the palette specifically is Bronze Seduction.

Blush you’re most thankful for? Right now it is Dior 999 but if I am looking at the totality of my collection and weigh formula and shades it would be Ciate Summer Love.

The lip product I’m most thankful for is the La Mer Lip Volumizer – I know, I rolled my eyes too. However, I haven’t used a lip product that hasn’t made my lips peel after. While I love my Charlotte Tilbury, Pat McGrath, and Laura Mercier lip products, this La Mer one is always one that adds a touch of pink and just moisturizes and does not result in peelage after. I’m sure if I tried a little harder, I could find a dupe.

In terms of eyeshadow palettes, I’m not thankful for my Tom Ford Cognac Sable eyeshadow quad. I reach for it often because the shades compliment my skin tone any time of year and is very wearable for all occasions.

I’m most thankful for my Tom Ford Frantic Pink blush. I like it because it’s just easy.

Lip product you’re most thankful for? Lipgloss! Especially ones that feel very nourishing and smoothing, ie; Fenty Gloss Bombs and PMG LUST Gloss. A high quality, solid performing lipstick is another one I greatly appreciate, ie; YSL Rouge Pure Couture, PMG Luxetrance or UD Creme, Sheer or Comfort Matte.

Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? It’s a 3-way tie! 1.) UD Naked Honey, 2.) PMG Midnight Sun, 3.) Lorac Unzipped. All 3 are fabulous for my eye color, yet have enough depth to them to not get lost on my darker end of medium skintone (Fenty 260, MAC NC35-41 depending on formula and season).

Blush you’re most thankful for? Essence Satin Love! Inexpensive, but PERFECT for an everyday type of cheek color that won’t compete with my eye looks. I also deeply appreciate the blushes in Hourglass Ghost quad for exactly those same reasons.

Trying really hard to pick just one item or type of item per category (these are so difficult!)

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Lip product you’re most thankful for? MAC Craving lipstick; Elizabeth Arden lip primer
Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? oh gosh….just one??? Either Vice 2 or 3 (mainly because they’re large)
Blush you’re most thankful for? Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush

Ana Maria Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium, warm yellow undertone, dark brown eyes and hair

Lip product you’re most thankful for? A good lip balm to save my lips when they are dry 😆 (currently loving the Pep-Start Pout Restoring Night Mask)
But I’m also very thankful for the people who created my favorite lipstick color, MAC Diva. 😀

Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? I’m thankful for my only palette, a custom made 15 pan with MAC eyeshadows. I just love having a smaller collection, with shades I actually use and like.

Blush you’re most thankful for? Maybe something like MAC Harmony or Sculpt, those universal shades for my skintone.

*Note: Does anybody else feel strange saying they are thankful for make-up? 😆 I never thought I could be actually thankful for make-up, I just played along with the questions.

Over the years, I’ve learned to be thankful for small, everyday things that make me happy. It’s easy to be happy about the “big ones”…the promotion, the engagement, etc., that often happen years apart.

But I found that being appreciative of the odd little things in life, for instance, the pair of cardinals in my yard, my comfie recliner chair…yes, even a blush that I think is the perfect color on me. All of these things enrich my life in some fashion. Blessings come in all kinds of crazy ways!

Michelle Avatar

My Mom always said that “Hello” to my Grandpa when she saw a Cardinal! She said it was his sign to her that he was there with her and it was his way of saying “Hello”…My Mommy passed away 2.5 years ago, so I would give ANYTHING to see a pair of Cardinals, ESPECIALLY in my own backyard!!! I would DEFINITELY count that as a blessing!!! Sorry, but that comment just truly touched me this morning!!! Much love!

Yes, I struggled a little with the word “thankful” in relation to makeup, too. So I thought about the idea of “thankful” in the small picture, just inside the world of makeup. First I thought about which products helped me the most as I developed my love of makeup and came up with my palette answer. Then I thought about which products helped solve a problem I was having and came up with my lip product answer. Finally, for blush, I pretty much just went with my favorites.

Interesting wording. Is “thankful for” different than “favorite”? I had never really thought of my makeup in terms of being thankful, although I’m thankful for the means to have it.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Lip product you’re most thankful for? Sephora Rouge Cream in Cougar, as it’s a dupe for the MAC Kelly Yum Yum I missed out on. It’s the perfect cool, ultra-bright fuchsia, and it makes me super happy to wear it. When it was DC’d I bought a few backups.

Eyeshadow palette you’re most thankful for? The original Sephora Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows that I got for a really good price on Ebay a few months ago. It was the one that got away, so I’m thankful for finally getting my hands on it without paying $150-200 for it. (It’s not mint, but it’s authentic, in good shape, not used much, and the pop-ups work. Good enough for me.)

Blush you’re most thankful for? I’m going to cheat and say the NARS Hot Tryst Palette. The products are insanely beautiful and flattering, and the packaging was made for me.

RUNNER UP: Tarte Exposed. It goes with almost everything. The formula is great for oily skin. When in doubt, I go for Exposed.
