- Haul/Rediscoveries: I bought Chanel No. 5 L’Eau in body wash and body lotion for my grandmother (she’s visiting my parents in California). Tom Ford Metallique, NuFace + eye attachment, and ABH x Jackie Aina palette.
- Weekend plans: The usual — mostly blog-related things, like writing reviews and finding/entering dupes! I also need to tidy up my front entry.
- What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: We’ve been re-watching Jersey Shore (reality TV), which was always a guilty pleasure, and it’s been interesting to watch it now that we’re also older, so some of how we feel has changed.

Monsoon has him (and my Clarissa) all up in their feelings. I just want rain without much super close by thunder!
Haul: Ace Beauté Oceanic Palette (still not here), Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl lipgloss in Oyster Pearl and French Press in Dirty Chai, Natasha Denona Nude Mini, Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream and MAC Blacktrack Fluidline gel liner.
Weekend plans: International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Phoenix at Chase Field! Boy, is it crowded!
Last movie or TV show you enjoyed? That crazy Holy Moly minuture golf show, because harmless, silly fluff can be fun sometimes, lol.
I really like Oyster Pearl! It’s such a pretty color.
Ooh, jealous! I came really close to getting those same two lipglosses, but ended up not taking advantage of that sale. Those are definitely on my wishlist, though!
Haul: I bought a couple of the Fyrinnae Cosmetics Multi-Chromes, a couple of SG liquid eyeshadows in Campfire and Boardwalk (umm, these are AMAZING btw. Such a tiny bit goes a long way; so pigmented and metallic and AFFORDABLE, holy moly!), and a couple of the Revlon Vinyl lips and a L’oreal lipstain.
Rediscoveries: My love of all the duochrome/multichrome eyeshadows. I love them and they fascinate me, and as soon as August rolls around I want to wear them all the time.
Weekend plans: Getting my son a hair cut, and a family get together. And cleaning. Always cleaning.
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: Recently, The Good Place, This Is Us, and A Million Little Things. And I’m getting back into Veronica Mars, now that the new season is out. I’m rewatching the older episodes so I can dive into the new season. Also, Handmaids Tale: it’s INFURIATING and the main character is going batsh*t crazy this season, but I can’t stop watching it.
Much of The Handmaid’s Tale was filmed around the corner from me. The Commander’s house is in my neighbourhood and a friend lives in the house across the road, which you can see in the show. Driving to work several times, I came across this scene of these women dressed like gleaners, all in burlap looking dresses and then the women in the long red coats and white starched hats. Movies are often shot in my neighbourhood because of the homes and architecture so I looked online to learn what was filming. I watched one ep. just to see “my ‘hood” and if my friend’s house would show up. I remember the earlier film version of this and didn’t like it and didn’t like what I saw of this new version either but then I really don’t like dystopian films or literature very much at all.
Haul: It’s been a week of makeup ups and downs. On the up side, I bought Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner in the shade Lucky, a great shade that I’ll get a lot of use from. On the down side, I bought NARS Rosecliff lipstick because it seemed so perfect in the pictures. But it’s so close to my natural lip color that it barely looks like I’m wearing any lipstick at all, and it made my full lips look smaller and very wrinkly. (MLBW…My Lips But Worse) I rarely ever return products, but I felt I had to with this one. I had planned to exchange it for another shade, but instead of another NARS lipstick, I decided to save a few dollars and go to MAC to look at the Love Me line. I swatched Hey Frenchie, which I’ve been crushing on ever since I saw the review here. But on me, it looks like a sheer version of MAC Craving, which I already own. So disappointing. But then I fell in love with a Love Me shade that is unlike anything else in my collection: Pure Nonchalance. It hasn’t been reviewed on Temptalia yet, so I bravely took my chances and bought it. I’m happy to say it’s comfortable, non-drying, doesn’t feather, and stays on for hours. 🙂 P.S. Although the Love Me advertising mentions priming and lining, it works just fine on my bare lips.
Rediscovery: I’m still using the very fun Decide Now! app to choose my eyeshadow palette each weekday, and I’ve rediscovered several palettes that have been gathering dust for a long time. This week, my favorite rediscoveries were Colourpop The Zodiac and Too Faced Sweet Peach.
Weekend plans: Visiting family, going out to dinner, laundry, grocery shopping, and, hopefully, finding time to relax.
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed? Last night I watched back-to-back early episodes of “The Office” (American) as I fell asleep. It’s one of my go-tos for times when I’m feeling stressed out. And my job as been making me feel very stressed out lately.
Haul: This may help someone, so. . . I had bought the PMG system from her, with a discount (but not returnable after I used it) in Light 7 (with the light powder). It was absolutely the wrong color and looked awful! Too light, too yellow. I am usually light (not fair) and warmish (for reference, Lingerie de Peau 2W looks very natural on me). So I went to Sephora and looked at light-medium 10 (neutral peach), which the LdP shade was matched with. It looks great! I will probably get the light -medium powder, too, although it is ridiculously expensive for the small amount (at the moment, I am wearing it with my Koh Gen Do powder).
Plans: Probably going to NY (from Boston)
TV: just finished the 2nd season of Fleabag.
I swatched light medium 9, 10 and 11 and the differences were just too subtle for my eye. I took home a sample of light-medium 9 because it was closest to the Fenty 210 I was wearing. It looks fine, although the pink neutral undertone is not what I would have selected. I used my Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder in Shade 3 (light-medium) with it. I might go back for another sample in 10 and/or 11 before I decide.
Interesting. Light-medium 8 and 9 were definitely too pink on me; I didn’t try 11. According to the SA, I have something of both warm and cool undertones, but I lean more warm.
Christine,
If there’s a good way to connect with or send my barely used PMcG Light 7 foundation and Light 1 Powder to someone who would use them, I would be glad to do it (free). I will be away for the weekend and my husband is sick, so it may not be immediate.
Hi Judith,
You can share your social with someone (they can contact you there), or you can just let me know that it’s okay to pass along your email to a person (via comment or directly emailing me at christine[at] temptalia), and I’d just need permission from that person to do the same! 🙂
Haul: Urban Decay’s new pencil liner in the shade Mulholland Drive; replacements for a few almost finished products – Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes, Laura Biagiotti Roma and Elizabeth Arden White Tea fragrances. I might head to Sephora later today to get the Marc Jacobs e/s in Brav-O, as it’s a dupe for UD’s Casterly Rock which I absolutely adore
Weekend plans: just the gym and maybe hot yoga on Sunday. Might make a big batch of chili for lunches for hubby.
Last movie I saw that I enjoyed – Yesterday (I’ve been waiting it for it since the depths of winter, when the ads first started appearing on tv; I might even go to see it again); TV series had to be BERLIN STATION. For some crazy reason, it’s just not available on any tv station here but a friend bought the DVD of the first season (it looks not entirely legit but she got it off Amazon so….). I’ve watched it through several times and am still learning/noticing/figuring out new stuff – THAT’S how complex it is (or how much of a dullard I am…but I guess I understand very little about intelligence gathering or how the various security agencies operate. Any other Berlin Station fans here? Anyone else find it quite complicated to figure their way through?
Oh dear – I forgot to include my 3 new bottles of Daydream diffuser blend essential oil from Saje. It has become my all time favourite and I use it in my home diffusers and also the one in my car (a nifty little thing that clips into my car’s air vents). I love this blend so much and wish they’d put it into a body spray of some sort.
Haul: I went a bit bananas with the Sydney Grace sale! My first purchase from that company, and I’m so pleased with the shades I bought–they are amazing shadows! Here’s what I got: https://www.temptalia.com/swatches/?compare=374369,383013,374379,366943,366952,366941,374384,374383,374385,366956,374381,374382,366903,366898,374304,366905,366907,374317,374308,374335,374323,374327,383016,374328,383017,374326,374325,366922,366925,366924,383018,374339,366928,374350,371899,374352,371900,374346,374343,374344,374342,374375,374372,366946,366934,366933,366939,366940,374264,374272,374283,374281,366946,374286,366959,374265,366947
Weekend Plans: Editing a tabletop roleplaying game book.
Movie or TV Show: I’ve been watching the series The Society with my daughter and really enjoying it. Also really loved Good Omens!
Whew! That is a SG haul!
I’d been saving up for it for quite some time. With the way I combined the sale deals, it came out to about half price, so not quite as bad as it looks! 😀
Wow! I actually forgot my Sidney Grace Christmas-in-July haul arrived, because I haven’t had a chance to try the lovely shadows yet; I have been so obsessed with finding my correct PMG shade!
Ooh–which ones did you get, and what are your favorite Sydney Grace shadows? I’m particularly liking Mythical and Tiara, which is interesting because I almost didn’t get either of them! Golden Peach, Lucky Peach, Siren, Awake, the Shallows, and Megalodon are other favorites so far.
I got the Mountain Trail bundle, a buncha other green/brown-related shadows, and the Greatest Gift. The last is the only one I’ve been able to try so far, and I really like it. They all look gorgeous.
Ooh, nice! Mountain Trail looks so gorgeous!!!
Awww poor Mellan. Daisy definitely doesn’t miss the monsoons since we moved up to the PNW.
Haul: My Sydney Grace eyeshadow order arrived while I was gone last weekend! I put them all in a Z-Palette and I am looking forward to trying them out soon. Well, I guess it will take me a while to try all 21, LOL.
Weekend plans: I’ve got a massage scheduled tomorrow, we’re going to walk around a lake and have an afternoon/early evening out in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Sunday night we’re going over to have dinner with friends, her garden is overflowing with bounty and she wants to feed us, LOL. My partner is baking dessert and I’m just bringing my own self. In between all that, probably some errands, chores, and maybe test driving some electric cars.
Last TV show I enjoyed: GOOD OMENS! What an incredible cast. I enjoyed the book but I think the TV show was even better, because David Tennant elevates everything he’s in.
I loved Good Omens too – Tennant & Sheen were absolute perfection together and I adored the smarmy sanctimony of John Hamm as Gabriel as well.
YES! I think Hamm was born to play that role. It helps that he really loves the book. And I think that’s one of the things that makes the show so wonderful, is so many of the major actors involved were big fans of the source material, so there’s a lot of love for the characters they’re playing and the story they’re telling. You can also tell that so many of them are fans of each other, from the way they interacted at press events.
Haul: This will actually encompass about 3 weeks as I haven’t posted a haul on here in that long. I have had some busy weeks and just couldn’t get around to it. I picked up Dior Forever Glow Foundation in the shade 2N, blush in 999 and Lacquer Sticks in Underground, Berry and Walk of Fame. All purchased at Nordstrom’s in Seattle. In Spokane I picked up MAC Girl About Town lipstick and received the National Lipstick Day lippie in Orange? Not my favorite shade in the world but it is sheer so I can pull it off. I also picked up Prep and Prime for lips. I usually use Ozone by UD but I am liking the MAC one quite a bit. It actually prolongs the wear of my lipsticks as opposed to UD which makes the lipsticks go on and appear smoother but doesn’t prolong wear on me. I like it because I am a lip worrier and can never keep my lipstick in place, especially around the inner margins. I wore a lipstick to town the other day and it was still intact when I came home which is a miracle. I also purchased MAC Shape and Shade Brow in the shade Fling. I am also really liking it. I saw Tara review it and liked the look of it. I think Fling may be just a hair dark but it isn’t so dark that it looks horrible. I haven’t purchased from MAC in awhile so enjoyed looking around at what was new.
Sephora in Spokane: Viseart Rose Edit palette, new BB sponge and Buxom Lash Volumizing mascara in the waterproof formula. Lastly I picked up the Lancome Effacernes Concealer in the shade Porcelain which was the lightest shade in a more neutral tone. It is too dark for me and reminds me a lot of the IT Bye Bye Undereyes although that might mostly be related to the packaging. I don’t think it is quite as thick as the IT. I like how it looks and performs but really wish there was a lighter shade that wasn’t too warm or too cool. I mix a little white foundation in it to make it work.
Online: Lord Jones Royal Oil which is a CBD oil. It hasn’t arrived yet so cannot speak to how it applies or works at this time but looking forward to getting it. I purchased quite a few things for my daughter as it was her birthday but frankly, I never saw what she got. She picked the stuff out and just used my debit card to purchase.
Weekend plans: I have family from out of town visiting and we are going to go to the local Huckleberry Festival and then a little mini reunion dinner on Sunday night at the one and only restaurant in our area!
Last movie/television show: I don’t watch much TV but the shows I do watch are a couple of reality TV shows. I like Project Runway, Top Chef and So You Think You Can Dance, which is airing right now. I haven’t watched any of this season yet but they are all on DVR when I get ready. The last movie I saw was Bohemian Rhapsody frankly, I really enjoyed it. I know it wasn’t accurate to history and I know some people wanted it to deal more closely with Freddie’s diagnosis and eventual death to AIDS but frankly, I didn’t really want to see that. I know what dying from AIDS looks like and I prefer the movie being more of a celebration of his life. I know that Roger and Brian are very protective of both Freddie’s memory/legacy and John’s also. They have been accused of whitewashing his image and that may be true but I think that is what friends do and I also think that they became quite good at it over the years of him slowly dying. He didn’t want anyone to know he had AIDS and didn’t disclose it until the day before he died. The whole band and all of his friends honored his request to not have it made public. He didn’t want to be buried anywhere that people could find because he was afraid of his grave being vandalized due to his homosexuality. So sad to have to worry about that when you die. I am hoping to go to Montreux to see his statue when I go to Europe next.
What do you think of Rose Edit, Deborah?
Enjoy your family visiting and the huckleberry festival!
Hi CeeBee, hope all is well with you down under!
I am really enjoying it. I knew when I picked it up that I probably would not use all the shades but I knew I would love a few of them. In the end, I quite like all of them and have used it quite a bit since I picked it up. For me, it performs pretty much like all of the Viseart shadows do. I don’t get much kick up in the pan and they blend like a dream. My only drawback is that I wish the lightest matte shade was more neutral rather than pink but since it is the Rose Edit I guess the pink makes sense. It would just have been better for me to have a neutral. There are a good mix of shades and enough variety in depth to make complete eye looks and I love the 12 pan palettes in terms of size. The other nice thing is that it isn’t as expensive so I don’t feel like I am breaking the bank to pick it up.
I have actually already missed 2 days of the Huckleberry Festival due to migraines. I spent the whole first day in bed and today have only just gotten up and it is almost 2 in the afternoon. Migraines are just not fun. I think this one is do to changes in barometric pressure since our weather can’t decide what it wants to do. We are having daily active thunderstorms with a bit of rain so that is suppose to continue for the next few days. I am hoping that if I stay down the rest of today that by tomorrow I will be able to go for a few hours. Usually after my head adjusts to the pressure changes then the headache subsides. The medicine wipes me out and makes me feel like I am drugged, which is what I am!
As a huge Freddie fan, he would want people to focus on the music and celebrate his life, not focus on the negative. Freddie gave some very playful interviews but he was a very private person. Have to remember he died in 1991 when AIDS was a certain death sentence. It was a time when many gay celebrities were in the closet. Maybe if he had lived longer, he’d change his perspective. I dunno. Brian and Roger are very protective of Freddie and they have honored his wishes. A movie that focused on the highlights mainly and most importantly the music is the best decision. Loved Rami and loved Bohemian Rapsody.
Yes, as I said, I had no problem with the way they handled the lifestyle portion of the movie and loved all the actors who portrayed the guys. Getting to see Roger and Brian just a couple of weeks ago was one of the highlights of my entire life. know it sounds completely crazy but I teared up when I saw The Red Special !! Freddie told Miami that he could do what he wanted with his legacy but not to make him boring! It was all about the music which is the way it should have been. Being a Freddie fan I am sure that you know but the are the only band where all members have penned a #1 hit. They were the perfect storm coming together at the right time with so much talent between them. QUEEN FOREVER!!
How very cool! Queen forever:)
Haul/Rediscoveries: The other two LA Girl Shockwave eyeliners that I didn’t have. Honestly, these are probably my favorite drugstore liners ever.
https://www.lagirlusa.com/collections/eyeliner/products/shockwave-neon-liner (there are lip and eye versions)
I also picked up the Petal Metal palette from SB when Ulta had it on sale the other day. I am looking forward to getting that in the mail tomorrow.
Weekend plans: Getting ready to go back to work and school now that summer is pretty much over. I am excited!
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: I am normally so much more of a reader (lit major MA 2021 here, future professor), but combo of ADHD and burnout have made it so I can’t read for pleasure at all anymore. Skyrim (100 hours baby!!!) and Netflix/Hulu have been my thing all summer long. I really enjoyed S1 & 2 of Harlots on Hulu (the makeup is awesome in that show), Mindhunter on Netflix, Queer Eye (I am on S2 and I love every single one of the Fab Five so much), and reruns of The X Files.
Those Shockwave liners are good! I got Electric and Vivid last week 🙂
I got the purple and the black just to round it out; even if the black isn’t my fave I can keep it in my bag.
If you are into bright blues, check out this Kiko one from Ulta in “Shape of Blue.” It is a gorgeous periwinkle, and a nice formula.

Haul: My most beloved cat, Zoe, became unexpectedly suddenly ill on 7-29, and the $1200 vet bill has left no funds for August makeup purchases. The good news is that Zoe is alive and recovering! What the vet thought was heart failure is most likely pneumonia and Zoe’s lungs are slowly clearing with antibiotics.
I had purchased a few items prior to Zoe’s illness that I hadn’t mentioned yet because I wanted to use them first before talking about them here.
Jouer Dual Blush in Cheeky Summer. This truly is a great summer blush, one of the best I own. I can wear it with a range of lipstick colors, which makes it more versatile than many of the blushes I own. I still prefer my brighter blushes over this one, as I am drawn to pops of color, but this definitely fills a gap in my collection and I’m happy to have it.
Chanel Cruise Highlighter and Bronzer Duo in medium. I wasn’t going to get this but I heard so many good reports and I had already purchased and enjoyed other Cruise 2019 items, so I picked it up. I initially I didn’t like how GOLD the highlighter is but after wearing this almost daily for three weeks, it is definitely growing on me.
Chanel Stylo Ombre et Contour Eyeshadow Liner Kohl in Metallic Flash. I love it.
Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Incandescent. When I heard this was a dupe for Dior’s Plum Pop blush, I knew I would get this instead. In contrast to Chanel’s very warm and very gold highlight bronze duo, this duo is noticeably neutral. I’ve heard some say the highlight is strong but I guess it all depends on what you own and already wear. To me the highlight in this duo is sophisticated and refined. I love this duo.
Weekend plans: RPM class on Saturday, weight routine on Sunday. Making spaghetti with my daughter’s homemade marinara sauce with tomatoes from her garden. Dual birthday party for Willow (youngest granddaughter, turning 4 years old) and son-in-law. Providing emotional support to youngest son who is in the Air Force, fell in love for the first time, and is now experiencing his first broken heart, as the girl who captured his heart was shipped out this morning to the next stage of her military career.
Movie: Husband and I went to see Once Upon A Time in Hollywood last weekend and I LOVED it! I don’t recommend movies anymore because the atmosphere about almost every topic in America has become so politicized, and this movie has not escaped the wrath of those who are looking for offense. The acting was outstanding, but the real reason I loved the movie was because of the way the Manson murders were resolved. I was a child living in Los Angeles when the Manson murders occurred and was haunted by this crime into young adulthood. I didn’t know this movie had this subject as a topic, or I would have never gone to see it. When I realized what was happening, I thought about leaving the theater, but I was blocked in on both sides. I decided to cover my ears, close my eyes, and hunker down in my seat til it was over. But the movie took a different turn, and that is probably the reason I really loved this movie.
I’m sorry to hear about Zoe, but I’m very glad she’s recovering! Sorry about your son’s GF getting shipped out. It’s hard to see our kids suffer. I hope your granddaughter and SIL have wonderful birthdays!
Such good news about Zoe. My kitty Tara died three nights ago. It was sudden but not unexpected as she was 20 and her kidneys were failing. It leaves a hole in your heart.
Lesley, I’m so sorry to hear about Tara. My condolences.
Aw, my thoughts are with you, Lesley ❤️
I am so sorry, Lesley! 20 is such a good age, and I am sure you gave her the best life. <3
Tammy, bless your heart for taking great care of Zoe! I hope she continues to make a fast & full recovery ❤️
Keep getting better, Zoe! That is far better than makeup anyway.
All good thoughts for Zoe!!
Haul/Rediscoveries: Nothing to haul here (amazingly!!) I’ve been attempting a low-buy as my husband and I are heading to Slovenia in October.
I have discovered this Rae Morris mattifying invisible powder that I got in my Beautylish (not so) Lucky Bag and I actually am really enjoying it!
Weekend plans: My husband and I are celebrating our one year wedding anniversary on Sunday!
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: Stranger Things (Season 3) SO good! Also, I watch a lot of Impractical Jokers, it’s just sooo funny.
Happy Anniversary!
I got a $50 gift card from Amazon so I picked up Nuxe Reve de Miel, S5 of Facts of Life and an XL magnetic palette
Probably will do some back to school shopping w my daughter
I really enjoyed Rocketman and Yesterday. As for TV I’ve binged all three seasons of Stranger Things like 4X !
Aw, poor Mellan!

Weekend plans: 1. Helping hubby put a new table in our camper and getting the camper ready for our trip next weekend. 2. My brother and I are helping my older son make some batches of chicken enchiladas and meatloaf and freeze them into individual portions for him. 3. I’m hoping to start making some progress on doing a makeup purge and reorganizing my makeup room. The need is desparate! lol
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: Season 3 of Stranger Things
Haul/Rediscoveries: Juliet Has A Gun fragrance in Sunny Side Up; FarmacyGreen Clean Makeup Removing cleansing balm.
Weekend plans: nothing, really. Just chilling.
Last movie/TV show I enjoyed: I binge watched the final season of Orange Is The New Black. My husband and I have been going on movie dates and on a wretchedly hot Friday afternoon, we saw Maiden, a documentary about the first all-female crew in the Whitbread Round the World Race, a grueling yachting competition that covers 33,000 miles and lasts nine months. Very moving and the segment on the southern ocean is guaranteed to lower your temperature by a few degrees.
Haul: Nars Summer Lights palette. I needed an all in one palette for travel and this is fantastic! I love it.
From Sydney Grace’s Christmas in July sale I got Raspberry Kiss and some greens and taupe singles which I can’t wait to use but I’m waiting on some empty palettes from Colourpop and they’re taking forever.
Weekend plans: Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express at the theatre, so excited as I haven’t seen a play in a long time.
Last movie or show: My children finally talked me into watching Hereditary on Prime and I really hated it. One scene is so shocking I started crying, it was awful. If you feel the need to punish yourself this movie will work nicely.
Christine, would love to hear your thoughts about TF Metallique! I have it in my Nordstrom cart…the lone review on their site described it as being a bit sweeter than most of his fragrances. It’ll be forever until I can get in-store and test it. So tempted to order blindly!
I haven’t used it yet – it only just arrived – sorry!
Haul: Some Natio Rosewater skin care, the Australis Mesmerize palette and I received all my Sydney Grace Christmas in July orders (x3) plus freebies, so I reorganized all my magnetic eyeshadow and blush palettes yesterday. Haven’t tried out much stuff yet, but the liquid lipsticks are nice and the pressed glitters are AMAZING (I had to email Laura Fox and tell her so, too) 🙂
Weekend plans: Not much – it’s 2pm on Saturday here and I’m actually still in bed. I’ve gotten up to use the facilities and shower, etc but my husband cooked breakfast and brought me tea and muffins for lunch so I really haven’t had any impetus to move. Driving to Auckland airport tomorrow (traffic, ugh) to pick up my SIL after her holiday so hopefully it stops raining by then!
TV show I enjoyed: I LOVED Schitt’s Creek and now I’m working my way through Letterkenny – both are laugh out loud funny!
Haul/Rediscoveries: I haven’t bought anything new this week, but today I found that a turquoise eye (layered from bottom to top: UD Fringe, UD Gonzo, and aqua sparkle powder from Revlon PhotoReady Eclectic Eye Contour Kit) and a red lip (UD x GoT Dany) go great together.
Weekend plans: Worked a few hours and went grocery shopping yesterday, worked all day today (we had our new building’s grand opening), relaxation and laundry tomorrow.
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: I must admit that I adore the Bachelor franchise-it’s basically just a campy, dramatic soap opera where the actors are amateurs instead of professionals. The current round is Bachelor in Paradise, where the most outrageous personalities from past seasons are all tossed into the same Mexican resort to drink, sleep around, and sometimes find love. With all the outrageousness, the drama is heightened, making Paradise by far the most fun series in the franchise.
Haul/Rediscoveries: I recently repurchased the powder concealers I’ve been using for years from Meow Cosmetics (recently enough that I haven’t received them yet); I also got a couple highlighters and highlighting blushes from Aromaleigh, as well as one eyeshadow (and lots of samples of mineral foundation); I bought Raw Love lipstick from NARS, as well as the Rue Bonaparte liner which I sort of liked before, but thought it was a shade or two too light — Christine’s recent review that declared the new version a shade or two darker makes me think it will be just right now; poised to purchase the Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream from Ulta (it’s in my basket as I type this). I think that’s it.
Weekend plans: The weekend is pretty much over at this point, bt I planned to see a movie, and did so — Spiderman: Far From Home.
What was the last movie (or TV show) you enjoyed?: Spiderman: Far From Home! 🙂
