MAC Baron’s Rose from A Tartan’s Tale. I drove to ?Kansas City to get the last one in stock. I use it sparingly. Perfect color on me. Nothing compares! Wish they’d bring back Hold the Pose. *sigh*
There’s one on eBay rn for $35.
This is discontinued, not limited, but I really miss MAC 3-D. It was my favorite lippy for ages, and I sought it out when it was gone. . .
Dior Cruise and Dior Mayday, the two Addict lipsticks from the Transat summer collection of 2014. Both were totally amazing, hydrating and flattering and everything I love about wearing lipstick. Cruise especially — I’ve found some similar dupes but nothing *exactly* right.
It’s funny, I remember thinking at the time, “Good thing I have so many shades of lipstick that I probably won’t finish either of these anyway, so it doesn’t matter that they’re LE.”
And now, here I am with a lip brush, trying to scrape out the last desperate dregs…

Urban Decay Fuel, not the 2.0 the orginal
I second Rebel – it goes with my coloring so well and works with so many different looks… I use it so often and will probably cry when I can’t scrape any more out of the tube.
There have been quite a few that I’ve fallen for, TBH! Most recent? MAC Life In Sepia and Natural Born Leader from the Electric Wonder collection. These 2 are perfection and belong in the regular lineup!
But my absolute first choice? Not a limited edition, but the DC’d MAC Ultimate Lipstick formula! Especially because my all-time favorite nude is Marque, which is in the Ultimate Lipstick formula.
MAC Sunset Pearl – LOVE this shade, perfect texture (creamy and satiny) and perfect peachy brown neutral for me.
Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Fuel from the Naked Heat launch! I believe it’s still in stock on their website but alas, someday it’ll be gone. I have a backup ready.
It pains me to say because I no longer support her brand, but Bruno from KVD…it’s a damn magical blue.

I also wish ColourPop would bring back both the Ultra Satins and Lippie Pencils for Petit Four and Marshmallow (both discontinued).

You are so right about the Natural Born Leader. I picked it up and love it so much. My daughter wore it for the first time this week while we were celebrating her birthday in Spokane and she kept borrowing it for the entire week! I don’t usually buy back ups of lipsticks because of the chance they will go bad but I should have picked up a back up of this. I can probably find it if I hunt for it now.
Not limited edition but discontinued, UD Catfight. So glad that I picked up a back up when they were discontinuing the line. I don’t normally buy lipstick back ups because lipstick may go bad quickly but I have this stored in the refrigerator so hoping it will remain good for quite a while.
This one is so old that I don’t even think it would be a fair answer but I also miss Chanel Midnight Rose.
Here’s an oldie for y’all: MAC Rubia lipstick. It was super limited edition over 10 years ago, and no supposed dupes come close for me. I do not care much for MAC lipsticks, but this one was perfect. I always talk about sending the little stub I have off to the company that makes reproductions of long-discontinued lipsticks, but I am scared.
Strong agree on Rebel. And there is this month’s reminder that I’m still devastated about not getting it, lol!

Amen, Christine!!! It’s my favorite lipstick, but I only use it sparingly because I’m dreading the day it’s gone. Please, Urban Decay, please make Rebel permanent.
MAC Feed the Senses — the only lipstick I’ve come even remotely close to finishing. It was a perfect light pinky-mauve on me. (I did recently order Bare Minerals Tutu after seeing it was rated as a close dupe on The Dupe List. Fingers crossed!)
Also (even though it wasn’t LE): MAC Scanty.

U.D Rebel Vice lipstick (never came in my country) and I was tempted by TEMPTALIA ?, CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE Luminous Intense Lip Color Envoutante, CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE Velvet L ‘Adoree, MAC Toxic Tale, MAC Beatrix, I don’t know if they was L.E but Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss Rhubarb, and By Terry Bare Instinct.

Such a hydrating and flattering warm rosy pink on me, plus the packaging was PERFECT.
Chanel Ruby Slipper. It’s the only lipstick I went through 2 tubes. It hurt me when they discontinued 15 years ago and I’ve never found anything remotely close to its magic. But it’s also why I now collected backups of anything I love obsessively.
MAC Have Your Cake. It’s the most wonderful purple fuchsia lipstick out there!
I would love that MAC would make it permanent the DC Haute Altitude – a great nude warm pink shade that looks so MLBB to my skintone and also, MAC Marquise’d and MAC Everhip…
Either NARS x Erdem lipsticks in Bloodflower, Carnal Carnation, and Larkspur or UD x GoT lipsticks in Cersei and Dany. UD Scorched lipstick from the Heat collection is also on the permanence wish list.
