Some of these look lovely… Although I truly never need to buy another lipstick. Bite always finds a way to tempt me.
Isn’t that the truth? Oy!
I feel like they’re rereleasing the same shades, just with different names.
I was thinking the same thing. The shades paired with the city are matched pretty well in my opinion, but haven’t we seen the same colors over and over again from Bite?
In a word: Yes!
Could be. Sephora is doing this with their Lipstories line right now, with most of the same cities. I was super into it until I ended up buying a duplicate of one I already had, just different packaging…thank goodness those are so cheap! I’m not against that *really*, but I also feel like it should be mentioned in giant letters, haha.
Yeah. I guess there is only so many lipsticks shades you can come up with, but clearly they’re relying on people’s attachment to these cities to sell these colors
Bite is really good at these marketing angles. Like, they came up with that Zodiac thing last year, which had people buying lipsticks they’d never be into if it hadn’t been their sign. And now they have these cities, like of course people from those cities are going to be attracted to the lipstick with their hometown on it.
So I thought these were 2 sets of minis at first and got really excited. Still pretty, but no longer rushing to buy, heh.
Ugh! Why??? I have waaay too many red lipsticks (with another one on the way to me), but I must have New York City! And now I’m homesick all over again, oy vey ?
I think this idea is really cute and may pick up a shade or two, but I don’t have many Bite lipsticks, tho I do have a lot of different lipstick colors. I just love the Amuse Bouche formula.
Being a Canadian company, it would have been nice to see more Canadian cities included.
You are correct!!
Like the Sephora lipstories, it’s a swing and a miss; what Canadian loves DC?
Make it a line for Canadians, or is it like the “natural” angle and they are moving away from their roots?
What, no Seattle? It could have been a soft grey for our cloudy skies… or a beautiful green for our forests, or a blue for Lake Washington and the Puget Sound.
Dallas looks like a gorgeous berry shade but I probably already have dupes in my collection. Hope you get a chance to swatch the whole set!
I would guess that I have dupes for all of these shades and there are a couple that I wouldn’t wear so probably a pass for me, although can never be 100% sure as when I swatch something, I sometimes am willing to pick it up even if I know I have a dupe. The Amouse Bouche formula is one that I like. I don’t have a personal connection to any of the cities except maybe Los Angeles but never lived there. It is a shade that I wouldn’t use anyway so not likely to get that. Of course, the plums, pinks and reds are always my favorite.
Hey, my city (Toronto) is represented 😉 Way to go, Bite Beauty! I’ll pick that one up for sure. They’re all beautiful, though.
Predictable cities for the most part, with predictable colors. I’ll pass.
The colors are all fairly on-the-nose. Seems like pretty safe choices (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
