What spring collections were most interesting to you?

Pat McGrath’s EYEdols as I enjoy the formula a lot, and it’s nice to see singles out as it makes me hopeful to see more in the future. Natasha Denona Biba; I find myself reaching for ND’s formula often for something that’s easy/quick to apply (in the sense that I know how to work with it and get what I want out of it without fuss), and I think it’s great that a more basic palette was released as a permanent addition to the line (though I’d love the Biba palette to be three 5-pans). Marc Jacobs’ Steeletto collection was also nice in that it was unusual for spring and also ran cooler/grayer in general, so it was different but also performed well.

The UD Game of Thrones collection. I don’t generally “go” for collections and just pick and choose things that I either need or that appeal to me. In the GoT release, there is that Lannister Gold pencil that is exactly what I’ve been wanting for years and years. The palette – that’s just gratuitous greed and LE FOMO on my part (but I am waiting until it’s available in-store in 2 more days so I can see it in person and decide for sure if I really want it). Other than that, so far there is nothing though if Pat McGrath or Viseart were more readily available in-store for me, I’m sure I’d be craving something….

The only one that readily comes to mind is, Wet n Wild “Rebel Rose”. From the shades, which were very unique for a Spring collection, to the packaging & formulas, it really stood out amongst the rest. The addition of the skincare products was a nice surprise, as well. I don’t typically bother ordering DS brands online, unless it’s adding an item or two to an already planned ULTA haul, but I actually ordered a few pieces directly from WnW to make sure I was able to get them, since “Fire & Ice” never made it to my area.

Don’t know if they really considered it a Spring collection but it came out around this time so I do! Haha, but the Colourpop Disney Villains collection caught my eye. I agonized over it for days, looked at swatches, read advance reviews and couldn’t decide which selections I wanted most. For a couple years I went on a low buy/no buy so my makeup collection was running a little low and I decided to splurge and bought the whole collection, knowing I could enjoy sharing with my sister and mother who also enjoy makeup. So far I am loving everything in the collection but haven’t yet tried 3 of the jelly shadows and some of the lipsticks. My favorites however are the highlighters from Maleficent and the Evil Queen, the lip glosses from Dr. Facilier and the Evil Queen, and the Misunderstood Palette.

From various Spring collections, I’m enjoying Charlotte Tilbury’s Idol Eyes palette, ND’s Bloom palette, Chanel’s translucent balm, Guerlain’s Meteorites highlighter, Suqqu’s Shine Grape liquid eyeshadow, and Bobbi Brown’s Crush liquid lipsticks.

I continue to sing the praises of the Viseart Coy palette. It was my first Viseart item and completely lived up to my expectation and more. It can add a special something to another palette’s look but it truly shines on its own. The looks it creates are so dreamy and magical to me.

Totally agree – if the Biba palette was instead 5-pans (and if she would just release some of her lightest mattes outside a giant palette, even in singles, I’d be a happy consumer. With over 35 fair skin, I don’t need any blacks or grays – keeps me from buying a lot of launches – even the viseart neutral mattes which I otherwise really like…

UD Game Of Thrones! That one hooked me in as soon as I saw the various images on IG. Unfortunately, the actual release has been handled abysmally by Sephora. Possibly at the direction of UD, Idk. Even though I was signed up for the email alert that the Vault was up, I not only never received it, but it never once showed as available on their page even though I refreshed it many, many times! Sounds familiar… UD and Sephora with the Urban Spectrum Palette, anyone? Hmm…??

Other Spring collections that have caught my attention and love have been; Viseart Coy, ND Biba, Nude Mini and her 4 pan cheek palettes, CP Villains and Shayla pt. 2. Several pieces of MAC’s Boom Boom Bloom collection wound up coming home with me, too! I know that I’m forgetting something…

I really like the GOT collection, but do not watch GOT, so I wish they just made the collections into four separate palettes that fit into a box…maybe make it look like books? It would just be a lot more convenient. (Then again, I’m not the person they’re trying to lure to buy this collection. It is beautiful though.)

@Nancy T Damn, I knew I should’ve said something! I’m so sorry! Sephora had a GoT collection soft launch at 1:15 AM Eastern (my time zone-Sephora’s US headquarters are in San Francisco, so they theoretically should’ve launched it at midnight Pacific/3 AM Eastern) and I was able to grab the 4 items I wanted. I almost posted about it on the Free for Haul thread, but I didn’t because I didn’t know who else was up/on the site at the time. Sorry again!
@Christina I wish they’d make the GoT eyeshadow colors available as a mix-and-match palette-I’d pick Lannister Red, the purples/pink/bright gold from the House Targaryen section, the silver (Free Folk) and two blues (White Walker and Frozen North) from the North section, and the burgundy (Weirwood Leaves) and green (The Sight) from the House Stark section.
@Everyone interested in GoT makeup As of 3:15 AM Eastern, Nordstrom has the eyeshadow palette and the Mother of Dragons highlighter palette and the Dracarys lip/cheek stain available online (as told by Isabella from Musings of a Muse). Sephora has the two palettes available online now and the whole collection launches in stores Thursday morning.

I was really interested in the Chantecaille Save the Polar Bears eye shadow palette and also the Marc Jacobs Steeleto palette and my daughter was encouraging me to pick up the Marc Jacobs given that it runs cooler overall. She also feels like it is something I would use more often than the Chantecaille. I think that I have decided to wait on both but they are gorgeous. I also have been interested in the Kaja products after Tara reviewed but seeing as how the very shimmery ones in the tube, can’t remember their name and just read it 3 minutes ago, have not reviewed well, I am going to pass on those also. I did pick up the Rosewater Bento Bouncy trio and it is okay. Not as amazing as I had thought they would be. Other than that, the Bite sheer lippies are the only thing I am currently contemplating. Haven’t seen a lot to interest me. Surprisingly, I never got into Game of Thrones so I wasn’t particularly interested in those products.

Surprisingly I use the Chantecaille Polar Ice palette a lot more than my Steel(etto). It’s more versatile and can add a little pop to whatever palette or look I’m wearing.

Those two obviously caught my attention. The new Tom Ford quads, though I don’t know if we’re considering those Spring or early Summer. The other things I can think of are the Viseart petit pro palettes (Aprocotine specifically) and the new Amani quads and singles (though I’ve yet to pick any up). I initially had high hopes for ND Biba, but her definition of neutrals ended up being far too warm for my liking unfortunately.

I hope I’m remember Spring collex right: ColourPop Disney Villains (bought the whole collection); SauceBox Secret Garden Palette (bought); Marc Jacobs’ Steeletto Collection (bought the eye palette); NARS x Connor Tingley (bought the eye palette); NARS Exposed Collection (bought the blush palette); MAC Art Library Collection ( I didn’t buy anything from it, though); Melt Smoke Sessions Palette (just bought on restock); Viseart Liaison (rec’d as gift) and Coy (on my wishlist) eyeshadow palettes.
