What three products would you love an endless supply of?

It’d have to be skincare… whatever was the priciest in the bunch, that one! I’m not married to any specific skincare products as I still rotate through and test new products, but here are three that I’ve used and love… and that could break the bank: Farmarcy Green Clean (makeup remover, which isn’t nearly as pricey as the next two, but I feel like I go through these fast enough that they add up!), Skinceuticals Ferulic C + E,and ahd Mahalo’s The Rare Indigo Beauty Balm.

Cera Ve Foaming Cleanser

A Cleansing Balm or gentle eye makeup remover

A facial moisturizer for oily skin w at least SPF 30

My skincare routine is quite simple but it would be nice to have an endless supply of these products bc I repurchase them so often!

Skincare for me also. Clinique Take the Day Off Balm: the only oil cleanser I could find that wasn’t full of essential oils, fragrances, or other irritants. Stratia Liquid Gold: my favorite moisturizer. It has the big three that I want, fatty alcohols, ceramides, and niacinamide. COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: this really helps sooth my skin and retain moisture. All of these aren’t super expensive, but they do go pretty fast since I use them daily.

Sometimes Sephora had mini Clinique Take the Day Off Balm to get with Beauty Insider Points… that’s my closest to `endless` supplies. At some point I made multiple smaller order, to the point I had 4-5 minis… but won’t complain. 😆 Those mini sizes of cleansing balm are the best use for points, otherwise they just keep pilling up. I use only skincare products without essential oils, fragrances, or other irritants and most redeemable items are not in that category, either make-up samples/minis I simply don’t care about; and I have enough sample size mascara.

I agree with skincare products. A lifetime supply of rotating face lotions (I, like you, test out a lot of them and am not “married” to any specific ones… I like trying new things), MUFE Sens’eyes makeup remover (I have spent WAY too much on these because it is the only remover that doesn’t hurt my sensitive eyes and is really easy and quick to use), and Smashbox Always Sharp liner (not great for the bottom waterline but so efficient for tight lining and thin upper lash line and even a smoked out wing… love how thin it is and I’m on my 5th one now – always try to get it through one of the military sites on sale through a friend since it is sometimes 50% off there).

Definitely skincare too, although I’m still experimenting to find what works for me, particularly as I age.
If it had to be makeup specifically, Maybelline Full and Soft (I get my parents to bring this and Unstoppable liner from Australia), foundation (currently Boots No 7 Lift and Luminate), and makeup sponges.

Def skin care! Ole Hendriksen Truth Serum, his Vitamin C moisturizer, and I would also love a long-discontinued hand lotion from Neutrogena called “New Hands.” That stuff is why, at age 60, I have zero age spots on my hands (I think).

Blanca Avatar

Ditto on the Farmacy Green Clean, Christine! Although I’ve now bought the new Drunk elephant Slaai to try, we’ll see if it knocks it down my essential list

The second one would be IT Cosmetics’ CC+ 50 SPF that I use as my daily all-in-one foundation and SPF

Finally, Strivectin’s Advance Retinol intensive night mosturiser, I started using it 3 years ago in preparation for my wedding and now I can’t leave without it!

Those three products are almost the only ones that I have repeatedly finished and Holy Grails for me. So I’d save quite a bit of money in the end even if they’re not super expensive for what they are.

I’m the Decleor lover, which isn’t sold in the USA anymore. Soooo, I’d pick two moisturizers for dry skin, one for day and one for night, and a serum. $$$ Cha-ching — free!!! Yes, please.

Jill Avatar

I’m going to detach from the skincare routine, because the skincare I use seems to last me forever.

I’m always replacing my mascara, concealer, and SPF frequently so I’d love an endless supply of those.

Definitely skincare. I prefer to invest in a good exfoliant, some good serums and moisturizers.
1. Biologique Recherche P50T +
2. Biologique Recherche Sérum Biosensible (1 and 2 go together for me)
3. Zelens Power D Treatment Drops
4. DE Protini Polypeptide

I would strongly encourage everybody to read the ingredients very carefully and to try to leave out those products containing fragrance, essential oils (citric oils, orange peel oils, bergamot oil like in the Farmacy Cleanser for instance), gold particles etc. These are not good for the skin, on the contrary, they always trigger an inflammatory response at the cellular level. As the dermatologists say, you don’t see the inflammation right away (swollen eyes or face), but it is there and with time, it causes damage to the collagen and may lead to a sensitized skin. When I asked my dermatologist why it is so important for the cleanser to be without these harmful ingredients because it stays a few seconds on my skin, she said “Yes, but you are using it daily. Harmful ingredients like fragrance and essential oils don’t need to stay minutes or hours on top of the skin to be harmful”. Be mindful at the ingredient list when it comes to skincare, as you only have one skin and once the barrier is damaged (especially on the face), it is more difficult to repair it.

I enjoy trying new products or switching between old favorites, even if my make-up and skincare collection is minimal (opening one type of product at a time, having one single back-up at most).

But if I were to choose 3 products it would be Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (best make-up remover for me), Paula’s Choice conditioner (the online non-flagranced conditioner I have found) and Benefit Gimme Brow (I tried many brow gels and nothing compares to it).

1.) Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
2.) Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic & Retinol Eye serum
3.) Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum
All 3 are my HG skincare items that I do realize are ridiculously expensive for my budget, but they are so incredibly effective that I cannot give them up. Therefore, a lifetime free supply would be beyond appreciated!

Lush Sleepy Lotion, Belif Aqua Bomb Gel face moisturizer and my newest obsession, Milk Kush Lip Balm. I cannot believe how quickly I’m running through it.

Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil. It is my holy grail first step cleanse. I know it doesn’t preform well for others but for me it is amazing. It doesn’t bother my eyes or leave a film over my eyes after removing. It doesn’t strip my skin and that would be a deal breaker for me since I have dry skin. It takes off even my CG Super Sizer Waterproof mascara on the first pass. It is expensive as cleansers go!

Sunday Riley Good Genes is another one of those products that people either love or hate. I have tried swapping out other acids and have given them a good length of time to work but nothing has worked for me but the Sunday Riley. Until something amazing comes along, I am sticking to the SRGG.

The third one might be a surprise because it isn’t the most expensive thing I use on my face, by a long shot, but it is something I use daily and many times, more than once a day. It is my MAC Fix +. This is a staple in my makeup routine and although I do have other facial mists and use them, Fix Plus + is something I still use everyday. I love the way it blends my makeup. I love the scent and seriously would love a perfume that smelled the same for a light summer scent. I am not sure what all I am smelling but I know I am getting cucumber scent and I find that very refreshing. Although not expensive, when you use it like I do you go through it pretty fast. I always have 2-3 bottles in back up.

Hmmmm – probably Clarins Super Restorative eye cream, Youth to the People Maqui facial oil, Drunk Elephant A-Passioni cream, Tatch facial mist and Dr. Brandt exfoliant. Oh, and one of my “go to” e/s primers (NARS, UD or MAC) – I always use e/s primer so I’d be happy with an unexhaustable supply.

Olay Regenerist eye serum, which has been my go-to for YEARS and I live in constant fear of it being discontinued.

My current foundation, which I mixed up in a 60ml plastic squeeze bottle from a bunch of different products, including several generous samples of KA Candlelight liquid luminzer and about 9 different foundations and is as close to perfect as I can get it.

Zoeva eyeliners – Glance, Rock N Roll Bride, Taupe, New Jewels, Nude Reflection and Myth are all favourites. They’re a really soft formula (which I actually really prefer) so I tend to go through them fairly quickly. If I could never run out of those, I’d be so happy 😀

It would be 1. Drunk Elephant tinted sunscreen 2. SK – II essence 3. vintner’s daughter active botanical oil or Augustinus badger rich cream.

I would choose skin care as well because I would choose the ones that I can’t afford now but would love to. La Prairie White Caviar Creme Extraordinaire, La Mer The Lifting Contour Serum, Lancome Absolue L’Extrait Ultimate Eye Contour Collection. I could go on but you said three.

Jackie Avatar

Skincare for me as well. My first would be Fresh’s Black Tea Toner which they sadly discontinued last year….that was my HG toner (the Kombucha Essence isn’t anywhere close to a replacement). Second would be Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Vitamin C Serum, and third would be Elta MD UV Clear SPF lotion.

Medium, Very Yellow, Dry
I’d love a lifetime supply of Eve Lom Cleanser. The iconic balm cleanser is only product that never tempts me to look for something better.
I give a big thumbs down to A. Bader’s Rich Cream. Went thru two bottles of the stuff and not effective at all for me. Should have paid attention to how Growth Factors are way down on ingred. list. Also, all the (paid) celebrity endorsements turn me off.

Hair: Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protecting Oil (this is the only one of the three I have purchased a full size of).

Face, based on miniatures I’ve picked up for free, and purchased in a collection only:
Tatcha The Water Cream
Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum

Vaseline. I take off my eye makeup with it, and longwear lippies.
Some type of eyebrow powder.
A simple lengthening, darkening mascara.

Jane Avatar

1.) A very good moisturizing cream like Dior Youth Capture, or even some that I’v never tried but everyone says is great by Tatcha or La Mer. They are so expensive and yet I very much need to moisturize my face the older I become.
2.) Smoothing primer like Filorga’s Time Filler. I don’t care what I’ve tried to tighten pores, I need something to fill them as well as wrinkles and generally to give a smooth finish before foundation.
3.) Some ecological coton or fiber facial cleansing pad, wipe that either I can purchase once and never replace or replace forever without hurting the environment. And I’ve tried the washable pads and just purchased a microfiber cloth, but so far they don’t live up to these requirements yet.

If by “endless supply” I can assume that I’m not paying for it, then:

1. Biologique Recherche P50W, which I would use all over my body (because, hey, I’m not paying for it!)
2. Paula’s Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense
3. a good lotion that would work for face and body that I haven’t discovered yet
