Your skin tone/coloring: I have a mix of yellow and pink undertones. Fabulous when it comes to eyeshadows and lip products, being that both warm and cool toned colors work with my skin. Horrible when it comes to finding a foundation that works.
Holy grail skin care product? Sebamed’s moisturizing face cream for sensitive skin is wonderful to my sensitive and dry skin. 🙂
Holy grail concealer? Benefit’s Erase Paste for under my eyes. Vichy Dermablend for acne/scarring/etc.
Holy grail foundation? Don’t know if I’ve quite found it yet, but I’ve been loving Revlon’s Nearly Naked as of late.
I mostly buy something to complement the NW part and then add a dash of NC in my more pink areas to neutralize. In the summer i am more NC than NW…..
Chanel’s foundations with the prefix “B” are perfect for us neutral girls!
Your skin tone/coloring: Light/yellow based
Holy grail skin care product? Haven’t found one yet… I’m embarking on a journey of using only oils on my face. My skin is so dehydrated and nothing really helps.
Holy grail concealer? Tarte Maracuja oil concealer. So far this is the only concealer that actually have coverage for my dark circles, it’s moisturizing and doesn’t crease if I use a very small amount.
Holy grail foundation? I don’t really use foundation, so I can’t say I have a HG one. I really like Burberry’s Sheer Foundation and Dior’s Nude.
Try cocnut oil as a moisturizer. It’s great for all skin types and really helps.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve actually used coconut oil for a long time, but it hasn’t really helped that much. I’m starting a new regimen with Frankincense, Neroli, Tamanu and Baobab oils. Hope that will help 🙂

Holy grail skin care product? CeraVe PM! So gentle and so moisturizing.
Holy grail concealer? Really love Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer (say that 3 times fast)!
Holy grail foundation? So far, Lancome Tient Miracle in Shade 04, but I’d love it to have a teensy bit more coverage.
I have the exact same skin tone and feel the same way about the Lancome foundation in 4N in the lightest grouping
For a little more coverage, and broad spectrum sunscreen, you could try their Renergie Lift foundation in Porcelain 40. If you’re not attached to Lancome, MUFE HD foundation in shade 115 is the closest match I’ve found so far. If you can handle fragrance, Guerlain and Dior have options too. I found these via one or two good SA’s at Sephora
I’ve yet to find an SA at a MAC counter that has been useful. Good luck.
My skin is very, very fair and pretty neutral toned. My HG skin care product is Lush’s Ultrabland. My HG foundation is MUFE HD Foundation. My HG concealer is Bobbi Brown’s corrector for my under eye circles – nothing else works like this!!!

⚔ Holy grail skin care product: I’m 50 this year so anti-aging regimen is a must. The Sisleya line from Sisley is my regular skin care routine, but my absolute fav product is the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. Twice a week and OMG..instant beautiful skin.

I also always purchase 2 shades of one product so I can custom mix as I rarely find a perfect match in one shade and can adjust according to season. My current favs being: By Terry Cover Expert #3 and #7. Bobbi Brown Long-wear Even Finish Foundation in 02 Sand and 2.5 Warm Sand and for lighter coverage Nars TM in Alaska which is really quite yellow, but I can just pull it off since it is on the sheerer side.

■Holy grail foundation? Believe it or not Loreal True Match N8! Its the closest match I’ve found for my skin all year round. I have others that I wear from time to time, but I want my face to look perfect I grab it and my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish everytime.
I loved L’Oreal HIP Foundations. I have tried their True Match in C6-8 and also W8. I finally decided to try Covergirl’s Queen. I think I have found a good match. I have been so frustrated trying to match my face and neck. I still like my MAC NC50 Studiofix. I love the BB concealer. I just found the corrector again. Do you notice a big difference when you use it b4 the concealer?
I notice a big difference underneath my eyes and on my really dark spots. It doesn’t crease and I think its worth the money! What color do you use in CoverGirl Queen?
825. I really like coverage. I plan to get the MAC or Sigma Duo Fibre brush, as I have two flat MAC Foundation brushes. I will revisit the corrector. I may also look at that N8.

Holy grail skin care product? I love all products from Jan Marini’s Bioglycolic line and the creams/lotions from the Transformation line. Can’t pick one, because my skin freaks out whenever I switch out just one of them. I also couldn’t live without Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub, best facial exfoliator ever.
Holy grail concealer? Amazing Cosmetics Concealer! The only one that works for my very dark circles. Extremely opaque, covers way better than Cle de Peau (which is my second favorite).
Holy grail foundation? Jane Iredale PurePressed Base! If I could keep only one makeup product, this would be it. Lasts ALL DAY, doesn’t break me out (almost everything else does), covers well while still looking natural. I have extremely oily skin, not sure if this would be good for someone with drier skin.

I am completely obsessed with Josie Maran’s Argon Oil. I have 3 full bottles as backups and I rarely buy a backup of anything since there is always something new to try. I stock up when she has great sales. I thought it might be brand hype so I tried multiple other brands of “first cold pressed” and Josie Maran’s is the only brand my skin LOVES. I have (or tried) 99% of her product line. Have you ever tried the Hair Serum…it has replaced all other styling products for me. The hot oil packets are also amazing but pricey so a treat.

Holy grail skin care product? Anything by Paula’s Choice. I started using her products about a year ago and my skin looks much younger. I never had great skin before, but it is clearer and brighter now.
Holy grail concealer? Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer. I use concealer primarily for under my eyes, and this one works best to not dry out my under-eye area.
Holy grail foundation? MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NC25). I’ve tried hundreds, but I like the finish and wear of SFF the best, and NC25 matches my skin tone well (many foundations seem too pink/peach).

Holy grail skin care product? Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Lotion – It’s really helped reduce clogged pores and redness. I do plan to try out the 2% once I run out though.
Holy grail concealer? MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – I love that it not only covers my dark circles but it’s also a thin, moisturizing formula that doesn’t crease and lasts all day.
Holy grail foundation? Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation – It truly is a lightweight formula that feels like I’m not wearing anything at all. It offers the perfect amount of coverage and the natural finish works well with my normal to dry skin.

Fortune Cookie Soap’s Clearly Complexion bar soap. A bar has lasted me a year and a half (using it twice every day) and it’s seriously a miracle- cleared up my severe cystic acne without drying out or hurting my sensitive skin. I will never stop using this and I will cry if they stop making it lol.

Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer is the only thing that works for my undereye circles and acne scars.

Hmm haven’t found it yet. I love Skin79 Super Gold VIP Plus BB cream for a natural look and Revlon Colorstay for more coverage, but neither is perfect. Every time I find a foundation that I love, it breaks me out.
Skin tone/colouring: MAC NC15/20 — fair, dry to normal skin with neutral undertones.
Favourite concealer: MAC Studio Finish concealer for under-eye circles.

thats going to be hard to pin down. its based on different undertones so its best to go into Barneys and get matched, or contact someone on their Facebook.
Yeah, it’s going to be hard. 🙁 We don’t have Barney’s here, unfortunately. But I’ll try to contact someone on their Facebook page — thanks for the suggestion! (I have yellow undertone, but since I’m medium to dark skinned, it’s more golden than yellow, but def less yellow than SX 08!)
Skin Tone: very fair with some pink, MAC NW15-20, but need to mix in some yellow to really match, so I haven’t really found a MAC foundaation I can use, Bobbi Brown Warm Ivory right tone but too yellow
HG Skin Care product: Paula’s Choice Hydrating Treatment Cream, use on very sensitive skin every night, use it under any treatment I do because my skin is too sensitive to put an AHA, BHA,or G-d Forbid Retin A directly on my skin, I usually put cortisone 1% ointment over it if my skin is really dry/irritated.
HG concealer: Bobbi Brown corrector in light bisque under eyes, BB warm ivory concealer over imperfections on face, BB warm ivory and cool sand concealers over corrector under eyes for dark circles
HG foundation: always looking, current best match is MUFE HD in 115, or Nars sheer glow in Mt. Blanc. MAC foundations are too pink or too yellow, can’t seem to find one with the perfect blend, and I haven’t found one I like enough to try to blend myself. I also need fragrance free products (although I think the MUFE may have a drop of fragrance, its not really noticable), so that eliminates brands like Guerlain,Givenchy and Dior!
Skintone: NC20-NC30 Depending on self tanner.

Hi Stephanie…I have Mally’s Cancellation Concealer System too. I’ve tried using it as shown by Mally in videos and on QVC but I can’t seem to get the same results. Would you tell me how you apply it? Do you use the translucent powder that comes with it for setting? Thanks for any tips.
Don’t know if you’ve tried it but I love her Face Defender to set everything…it works great on my dry skin, blurs my pores and keeps blush in place all day.

Holy grail skin care product?: It’s hard to say; I recently changed up my whole routine with completely different products. If I had to pick one, it would probably be my Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture because it’s the only moisturizer I’ve found to really combat the dry, rough, raw, flaky patches of skin. I believe this moisturizer and the Clarisonic are what have been making all the difference in my skins appearance.
Holy grail concealer?: MAC Pro Longwear!
Holy grail foundation?: NARS Sheer Glow has been my favorite, go-to foundation since about 2008/2009 now. Even when I’ve decided to test a new foundation, I still keep this one on hand because I always go back to it.

Holy grail foundation? Currently, I’m in love with MUFE Face & Body for liquid. I’m on the hunt for a HG powder foundation because of it’s ease of use. I’m presently using Sephora Microsmooth PF and really like it, but I’m also curious to test out MUFE Profinish. Hopefully between the two, I’ll find my new love.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light/medium Olive– I’m filipino but I’m not very yellow. I’m more on the olive side. I tan very easily and when I do, I can get a little red.
Holy grail skin care product? I’m a big proponent of sunblock and I love a good physical sunscreen. I’ve been using Dermaquest Zinc Clear SPF 30 in the “Nude” color and it has 18.6% zinc oxide. This sunblock glides on, has a creamy gel like consistency and find that it doesn’t interfere with my foundation or concealer. It is tinted but it dries clear!
Holy grail concealer? I have 2 concealers that I like. On a daily basis, I use YSL Touche Eclat in #8 (even though I couldn’t find the color on the website. I’m confused as to whether or not they discontinued this color?). This is super light, blends right in and just an instant brightener. When I want a heavier consistency, I go for Hourglass Corrective Concealer in Sand.
Holy grail foundation? My skin has been so dry lately that my usual Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup in #3 has been sitting on top of my skin rather than melding into it. Arrghh. So, I’ve been sampling a bunch and lately I’ve been really liking Guerlain’s Lingerie de Peau in the #2, and the Parure Gold in the #2 as well. My only problem with the Guerlain line is that I’m in between colors. The #3’s have both been too dark and pulled pink on me. I’m trying to see if I can’t get the #2’s to work if I just brush some bronzer on top.

Concealer: not HG, but I really enjoy maybelline age rewind concealer for Under my eyes which has sadly been discontinued. MAC prolongwear is pretty good too.
Foundation: lancome teint miracle. Just wish it lasted longer on my skin but always on the look out for better things!

HG skin care: ExfoliKate. This stuff leaves me with baby soft, smooth skin. It’s just so pricey, sigh.
HG concealer: I haven’t got one. Still trying to find a way to make concealer work for me.
HG foundation: Not sure about this either. Right now I love Cover Girl’s outlast 3-in-1 foundation, and MUFE Pro Finish powder foundation. And Diorskin Nude BB cream. I don’t know as I have an absolute favorite because it depends on what I’m going for.

HG skin care: Paula’s Choice BHA9. No more blackheads!
HG concealer: my skin is super nice these days so I only use concealer under my eyes, but I like Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in shade 1.
HG foundation: I have about 10-15 in my drawer and I use them all for different reasons and occasions, but MUFE HD (#115) is my old standby. Matches my skin perfecty, wears well, look like skin but has good coverage, and doesn’t transfer.

Holy grail foundation? sadly, i have tried everything under the sun and my skin just cannot tolerate foundation because it is so acne prone. if i do wear anything, i find cover fx total coverage cream foundation to be the least acne causing.

2. Not sure that I have one- Philosophy’s Purity and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream used to do the trick and then stopped working. I’m also getting a little older and so looking for products that will help with aging. Right now I’m using Lush’s Angels on Bare Skin in the Morning, Lush Ultrabland at night, and moisurizing with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Lush Gorgeous mixed together.
3. Not sure if I have one here either. I use Benefit Lemonaid and Bare Minerals Stroke of Light around the eye area, and Benefit Boi-ing on zits and over redness and such.
4. I absolutely do not wear foundation. I used to work at Sephora and they tried to force me to wear it- and of course it broke me out. My skin is mega sensitive. If I feel like I’m having a terrible skin day, I will wear some Skin Food BB Cream, but I don’t even like doing that. :/

Holy grail concealer? Bobbi Brown’s concealer/corrector duos are the closest I’ve come to an HG product.
Holy grail foundation? Haven’t quite found one yet, but I have a serious lemming for Dior’s Diorskin Sheer foundation right now thanks to the sample I received at Nordstrom’s.

Holy grail skin care product? Honestly I have never found one. I really like Cetaphil cleanser – it does the job and NEVER irritates. I’m considering delving into higher end skin care, finally! I’ve been using mid to high end makeup for years, I just recently started using salon hair care – skincare is the last step.
Holy grail concealer? I’ve loved MAC Select Moisturecover for years, enough that I’ve never strayed. It’s not my holy grail though, I’ve just been too daunted by the mammoth task of finding something else!
Holy grail foundation? I had tried SO many different foundations, and never found one I really liked, until I tried MAC Studio Fix Fluid. It’s the only foundation I’ve EVER repurchased. It ticks many, many boxes – I love the finish, it doesn’t cake (even if I PACK it on!) and it wears really well (with NO powder) – it doesn’t look odd and “foundation-y” after 8 hours – it just fades evenly. It photographs amazingly too – thanks to Dustin Hunter for pointing that out! The only reason it’s not my holy grail is 1) the shades aren’t perfect – NC is slightly too warm and NW is WAY too pink – and 2) it’s slightly too matte – sometimes it wears oddly if my base isn’t right.

I am currently altering my moisturiser routine and my skin is so inflamed and sore! Holy Grail concealer is Mally Under Eye Prep concealer in deep. My Holy Grail foundation has been reformulated and no longer works for me, but, it was Estee Lauder Doublewear Wheat.

holy grail concealer: MAC studio finish NC30. seriously. it creases on me under the eyes, so it’s not a true HG product for me, but it’s still the best concealer i’ve found so far.
holy grail foundation: NARS sheer glow in deauville (light 4). NARS isn’t sold in my current country of residence, so i’ve switched to chanel vitalumiere aqua, and i can’t wait to get my NARS back!
