Clinique Broadest Berry Chubby Stick Intense Review, Photos, Swatches

Clinique Broadest Berry Chubby Stick Intense ($16.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “beige plum.” It’s a muted, reddish plum with a natural sheen–not frosted or shimmery but enough of luminosity that it doesn’t look matte. Tom Ford Casablanca is rosier. NARS Christina is darker, less warm-toned, and shimmery. MAC Brick-o-la is a touch browner. Chanel Etole is very similar in color. Chanel Rouge Orage is less plum.

One of my favorite features of Clinique’s Chubby Stick range is that they’re twist-up pencils, so there is no need to sharpen–which means there is no wasted product being sharpened off of the point! No need to freeze, just twist and go. Broadest Berry has very nearly opaque color coverage; which is great if that’s what you prefer, but the Intense range is only supposed to have medium coverage (“not quite sheer, not quite opaque–just the perfect happy medium,” according to Clinique).  Broadest Berry wore five hours on me, and it was lightly moisturizing during that time.

Love the color! I already have one of these in roomiest rose (I think that’s the name!) that’s similar though so will pass on it. It’s a great formula though!

I have this and I love it – I love them all, and I’m only missing mighty maraschino and heftiest hibiscus. I like the opaque color coverage, and it’s so hydrating and comfortable to wear.

do you think this would be a good choice for someone with constantly chapped lips? I am always stuck using chap-sticks and tinted lip balms, but I saw moisturizing and was like hmmmmm.

I think this isn’t as good as a regular lip balm, but it’s pretty comfortable to wear and you might be okay with it while you have it on. I wear them sometimes in place of lip balm but my lips aren’t usually chapped that badly; when they are I go for more moisturizing products.

I’m so excited to check these out! One of my favorite every day lip colors was their “old” chubby stick in Sweetheart. A coworker admitted that she just thought I had a pretty lip color naturally; the color was THAT great. The new generation of chubbies were just too sheer to compare to Sweetheart’s beauty, so the higher opacity in these may be just what I’ve been missing!

I have a couple of Clinique’s Chubby Sticks but I find they only last a couple of hours and for the price not really worth it. I colors I think are nice and it is moisturizing but doesn’t last very long ~ same goes for their new Shadow Chubby sticks, even with primer on lids~ 🙁

I just bought this product in Chunkiest Chili (silly name). As a redhead I have always been really afraid to wear red lipstick, but it turned out absolutely beautiful. In addition, I didn’t have lip balm on prior to putting it on (as I usually do) and it made my lips feel amazing.
