Sephora Banana Split (05) Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Sephora Banana Split (05) Eyeshadow
Sephora Banana Split (05) Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “shimmering yellow.” It’s a brightened, sunshine yellow with warm, golden tones and a pearly finish–some shimmer but not a full-on frost. NARS Flowers 1 #5 is not quite as bright. Illamasqua Hype is matte. Make Up For Ever #24 is a cream product. MAC Bright Sunshine is lighter, more frosted.
It has a soft, smooth texture that’s incredibly pigmented and blends easily on the lid. The powder is just a touch powdery, but I didn’t notice it as a major problem during application (e.g. so powdery that the pigment would sheer out if you attempted to blend it). The color payoff was about the same both wet and dry, but it had a more shimmery finish when applied damp. I wore Banana Split on the inner third of my lid, and it lasted for nine hours well and was just a bit faded after ten hours (no primer).

Gorgeous! I love yellow in combination with brown eyes.
Wow!! That is such a cool look!!
OMG the blending!!!!
Would you compare the color not the finish to MAC Chrome Yellow? I am trying to talk myself out of so many of these shades!
Chrome Yellow is matte and cooler-toned.
Thanks! I was hoping just the finish matte v non matte was different but it appears I need this yellow as well. Strangely enough yellow is my staple probably because I always have red eye from late nights at work followed by early gym time. :(. Please keep the great reviews coming
Wow! Love this happy color and cute names- couldn’t stand when Sephora products were numbered.
ok.. so I am at work with a major stomach ache but seeing this yellow has manage to put a smile on my face.
thanks Temptalia.
the look you did is gorgeous
Bright beautiful look! So glad this shadow got an A because compared to MAC, you get more product for less money 😉
Just not my sort of colour but I had to look to see your step by step and to see what other shades you paired with this.
Gorgeous! I’m surprised at the quality of these shadows. I bought a couple of their baked shadows and they sucked so bad, even when wet I was sad because thy were $17 a pop.
I love how bright it is! Yellow is so underused!
And the look you created with it is really striking!
Oooh that look you created is so fun and vibrant and tropical!! Is it going to be summer soon?!! 😛
Yummy yellow!
Wow the eye makeup is beautiful…
Yellow shadow is not for everyday look but can be fun to use 🙂
Is this much warmer than Sugarpill’s Buttercup? Thank you 🙂
It’s warmer and shimmery!
Is this a past release palette or did you build it yourself?
I didn’t build it – this is how it came!
uau!! A super intense shade, not suitable for every day, but work on the tear, as eyeliner or combined …
Is the palette one you put together yourself or one available at sephora?
This is a palette that I received from Sephora!
I love this your makeup, I really like ilgiallo
