I have gel nails done every three weeks. My real nails are so weak I can never grow them out very nice. Luckily I have found a wonderful nail tec that is a magician and I wouldn’t give her up for anything.
Skintone: Light medium leaning cool.
Go-To Topcoat: OPI Plumping Volumizing Topcoat. I get over a weeks chip free wear with any brand of polish, I’m not especially gentle with my nails either. HOWEVER. this has been discontinued! When I could no longer find it in stores I tried another OPI topcoat called Brilliant, along with 4 or 5 others, none of them did what the Plumping one did. I finally found some on Ebay so I have a few in reserve but :-(.
Base nail coat: Nailtiques Formula 3, it helps my brittle nails. A month or so ago I actually had to cut my fingernails, they had grown out so much that it would have taken forever to file them down.
Favorite remover: Zoya 3 in 1 Remove. I just started using this in November. I don’t think I will ever use another brand.
skin tone/color: fair-light neutral with a hint of olive
– What’s your go-to nail polish top coat?
None at the moment. I had seche vite and didn’t like it. I don’t know why it has so much hype.
– What’s your go-to nail polish base coat? I used Revlon and now I’m using Orly Bonder. I haven’t noticed any difference in preventing staining. Both are good. However, nail polish starts to chip on me in a day or two. It’s a fact. I keep my nails short btw. Zoya peels off on me the quickest. Essie was fine. Now I have a few Sally Hansen’s hard as nails xtreme and I like them for a bit long lasting effect. Just a bit though.
