Notable Holiday Markdowns 2018
Most of the holiday season’s reviews are published, which stands at over 325 products and sets (check out the best of holiday 2018 rankings here). As we head into the last week of the year, there were some notable holiday products that were discounted across multiple retailers, so I thought I’d share the ones on sale that were more highly rated. (Ultimately, as I worked through the sale items, it wasn’t quite as fruitful as I expected… so I’ll probably update this post over the next few days!)
A few key codes to know, as well….

The turnaround happens so quick now. It seems like products that were just released and really built up in the ad copy and marketing are now 20 to 40% off. It diminishes the product for me.
I feel better about buying when there is a site wide sale rather than when products that were just launched 6 weeks ago are now reduced to 20 to 40% off. It seems desperate and makes me wonder what is wrong with the product or if the company is in trouble.
Great for holiday shopping if any of the discounted items are still in stock, I guess.
Last night, I very nearly ordered Dark Star MTHRSHP when I placed my order for Omi. I suppose wisdom prevailed when it dawned on me that cool blues are not a great look on me.
That UD Elements palette has many very interesting, even fairly unique shades. But storing it would be a pain.
Did you see the glam lite pizza palette? Same general layout as the UDE, only bigger. I ‘fess up to watching the J* review vid.
I saw both MAC Shiny Pretty face palettes (bronzer, blush, highlighter) and a mini lipstick kit at the CCO, marked down an extra 40% off. Surprised to see items from a current holiday collection at the CCO.
Already at the CCO? Now that’s a surprise! I get it being discounted online and stuff, especially since it’s more like 25% off… but 40%?!
