Last time you cleaned your makeup brushes: Sometime in November. I normally wash them every other weekend, but I haven’t been wearing eyeshadow for a while so I haven’t washed them recently.
Last time you cleaned out your makeup stash: Two weeks ago. Every month or so I go through my makeup, clean everything with wipes (including my makeup bag), and give away/throw whatever I’m not using/is expired.

Last time you returned a beauty product? I don’t return makeup if I buy it. It’s the sanitary thing…and I would feel bad. I just toss it or pass it on to family or friends. Or they just take em.
They’re not going to resell a used product so it’s totally OK to make returns. It’ll go back to the mfg as used/damaged/etc. If it’s unused, I’m not sure. Some places put it back out on the shelf, some don’t. Like Sephora, they have to mark it, and take it at a loss. You can totally return stuff and not worry so much about the sanitary thing.

Last time you cleaned out your makeup stash? Actually, it was about 3 days ago! I got rid of all of my NYX products and some old eyeshadows, and products that had broken packaging, beyond repair, yet I had been holding on for years.
Last time you returned a beauty product? So far I have yet to return a beauty product, but believe me, if necessary I will because there is a lot of hard earned money that goes into my cosmetic purchases. I try to be VERY careful about what I buy.

Last time you cleaned your makeup brushes? Can’t remember. I do not use brushes for foundation, concealer or other liquid/creme products. I spot clean my powder brushes every time I use one. Probably 2-3 a year they all get a good cleaning in 90% alcohol.
Last time you cleaned out your makeup stash? Cleaned out my eyeshadows about a month ago when I reorganized them. I’m a shadow girl, they make up about 70% of my collection. I also have a lot of liners, mostly pencils. I guess I have a lot of foundation type products as well, about 8 that I rotate through, and a couple put away I hardly ever touch but keep around in case I need them (colorstay for one). The last time I did a major clean out was two years ago when I pretty much tossed everything (I did not have nearly as much then) and started over. My version of the “mid life crisis” lol.
Last time you returned a beauty product? Yesterday.. exchanged the UD Vice palette. Was not impressed, so many of the colors were too difficult to work with, patchy and muddy, and many of my favorites were impossible to use.. flaky, glittery and do not transfer to or stay on the eye. I’ve had bad luck with UD shadows in general, don’t think I’m going to buy anymore. The original formula killed my eyes, made them itch, burn, and water. The new formula does not hurt, but I just feel the blendability and fallout of too many of them is unacceptable at that price point. I have shadows that cost a few dollars I like better. I did a purple eye with the Vice palette that took me 20 minutes of fighting with it and was a muddy mess, and broke down way too soon in the day.. did a very similar look the next day with an Almay palette I bought for $4 at Walmart that was 100x better, and looked good all day. FYI I exchanged it for the Sephora/Pantone metallic palette.. it’s so much prettier in person than in photos, worth a swatch if you are in Sephora.

Fair neutral (between 15 & 20 MAC). Most foundations are either too pink or too yellow. There are not enough neutral foundations out there!

I keep my stuff organized by type and color. And everything is inventoried with dates purchased. So i know right where to find a color and it goes back when i’m done.
As far as throwing away stuff, Mascaras get purged first, i just tossed one a few days ago. Automatic pencils tend to age badly, too.
I keep some old stuff because it’s special – Biba and Mary Quant i got in the late 60s and early 70s

Fair to light with warm undertones (NC15-NC20) – I LOVE it when I’m pale enough to wear NC15, it matches perfectly. In summer I warm up, but NC20 can look not quite right. I’m trying now to mix a little of my NC15 with my NC20 to see if that helps.
I cleaned my brushes on the weekend, and I’m thinking of washing my 187 again after I do my makeup today. I’ve started washing my brushes as needed, rather than doing them all at once. I use conditioning baby shampoo.
I did a BIG clean out of my stash about a year ago. Tossed lots of old things which I never used. Now I try to use most of my items every now and then.
I just exchanged a Balm Jovi palette yesterday, it’s a christmas gift for my sister-in-law. My boyfriend bought it on my direction, but being a boy he forgot to check that it hadn’t been opened up and swatched/touched, which it had. So I exchanged it for an unused one yesterday. Last time I returned something was to The Body Shop, in about July. I reacted to some skincare, sadly!
Coloring: super pale, the lightest shade of anything, cool toned
Last cleaning: I clean my foundation brush daily and the others bi-weekly, unless I use them for a liquid or cream product, then they get washed after that use.
Last purging: probably two months ago. I have a TINY bathroom with very little storage space so I am trying to be better about having only what I will use frequently. I did throw out a tube of eye primer last week because it was causing a rash on my eyelids, having such little storage also makes it difficult to put up with products I don’t like taking up valuable real estate.
Last returned product: Skin FX foundation. It was awful! Thick, difficult to blend, separated with any other product I tried and made me break out for weeks!

Last time you returned a beauty product? About 3 weeks ago. I rarely return items, but I purchased Clinique High Impact Extreme mascara. It was awful and clumpy after 2 coats. I exchanged it for my usual, YSL Shocking Mascara.

Couple of months ago, I don’t really buy things that I don’t want or are bad quality. I read a lot of reviews.
I TRIED to return a Bobbi Brown lipstick that I really expected better from. I didn’t even wind it all the way up and the lipstick broke off and fell on the floor – they wouldn’t return it. Admittedly I had used it for a while but I was shocked – I’ve never had a cheaper lippie break on me.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with pink neutral undertones (MUFE 130) – It’s kind of a weird tone, really hard to find foundation for.

I think a week or two ago, when I had to rearrange to make room for my new Burberry quads. I keep my makeup very neat and organized.
Several weeks ago. It was Burberry light glow in Rose Blush. It was way too bright for my comfort level and it was too expensive to just put in a drawer and never use.
