About this Look

I was inspired by the ND Gold palette, and happily I seem to have enough dupe-ish shades so I could capture the feel of the palette. I only wish I had had the guts to go for the concealer lips too!

Step-by-Step Guide

Eyes

I started with eyeshadow to avoid fallout mishaps.

Base

I primed my lids with Wet ’n’ Wild’s eyeshadow primer and applied Minx #1 all over the lid to help with blending the darker shades.

Crease

I blended Paper Tiger above my crease and slightly into my crease, and then went in with Shameless, blending it into my crease and onto my mobile lid, and concentrating it on the outer corner. This shade has a lot of fallout so be sure to tap off any excess eyeshadow before applying! I put Finders Keepers in the outer v to define and contour the shape a bit more - and made sure to tap off the glitter :)

Lid & inner corner

I swept Tea Garden across my mobile lid with my finger, and followed with Sunglow on the inner half of the lid. I finished with Minx #4 in the inner corner.

Lower lid

I smudged Shameless on the outer halves of my lower lids and up to connect it with the outer v, and put Sunglow in the inner half and blended it into Minx #4 in the innder corner. I went back in with Finders Keepers just a bit on the outer fourth of my lower lid just to deepen the shade a little.

Eyeliner & lashes

I tightlined with Sleek Makeup’s Eau La La Liner in Blue Moon on the upper lashline and Makeup Store’s Golden Days in the waterline.

Mascara is some L’Oréal volume million lashes or other.

Cheeks

I wanted to keep my cheeks to a minimum and just went in with light contour, some bronzer and Becca Topaz on the cheekbones.

Lips

Someone said here that Natasha Denona is trying to make concealer lips happen, and personally I’m okay with that. In retrospect that’s probably what I should have gone for here, because I actually like that look with a colourful smoky eye! Instead, I went with theBalm’s Mai Billsbepaid, even though it was a bit too rosy for this look in my opinion.

Anyway, I’m really happy with this look and the fact that I already have a lot of golds and bronzes to keep me going!
