Song is a Polish That Really Sings

Zoya Song Nail Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “bold, vibrant medium primary blue with silver and blue glittery metallic sparkle.” It’s a rich, medium-dark blue with brighter blue and silver sparkle and shimmer. China Glaze Blue Year’s Eve is similar but has purple sparkle. Illamasqua Force is a bit more violet-tinted and has no shimmer. Butter London Blagger is close in color but has no shimmer. SpaRitual Twinkle is a bit darker and has finer shimmer.

This shade was almost opaque in a single coat, but two were necessary for full color coverage. The composition of Song is so very lovely; it has rich, vibrant color with a lot of depth and nuance. It dried down to a naturally shiny finish, and the consistency of the formula was fluid and easy to maneuver on the nail.  I typically get a week of wear with Zoya’s formula–just minor tip wear but no chipping!

I’m seriously buried into this indie polish craze, but I’m so impressed with the whole Zoya fall collections that I’m picking them up too–on sale!. I’m even thinking of giving the jellies a go 🙂

This color is so gorgeous!

Since they name most of their colors after ladies, I can’t help but wonder if this is after River Song, since it’s such a pretty TARDIS blue. Probably not, but a girl can dream!

It is a nice color and I am a huge fan of Zoya polishes- I adore the colors I have- but, this is a pass for me. I can’t picture myself wearing it anywhere but my toes and even that is doubtful. I like my blues deep and smoky- this is too primary color for my taste.

You’re so right, this polish is the BOMB.COM!!!! If I didn’t get bored so easy I would wear it non-stop! AND the other shades from Zoya Fall line are also competing for nail time 🙂
