Sephora Smokey Jewels PRO Eyeshadow Palette ($68.00 for 1.12 oz.) is the newest PRO palette to be released. It’s jewel-toned themed with a mix of mattes and shimmers, though I’d say most of the shimmers were on the satin-to-pearl side rather than overtly metallic (for reference). Here are swatches…

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when
a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set
expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up
being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
You appear to be right again, as I’ve just viewed the swatches and am a bit disappointed. Boo hoo!

You gotta try in stores, or wait until Christine reviews. I feellike the quality is pretty consistent. You cant judge quality on swatches really. Only color– remember that. And you want your swatches to have levels to them, dont you
My eyes lit up when I saw this!!!!!!! Oh, I sooooo hope it receives a good rating and I can’t dupe half of it, because it may be my second ever Sephora palette (I have an older, very pale, bridal look type palette from them in which I was disappointed, so I’ve never tried any others since).

I saw these in the store and the looked beautiful. I hope they perform well!

Interest piqued but will wait for a review since I know these are very hit or miss and probably more miss…it looks gorgeous though and the swatches could be worse.
This is a huge palette and there does seem to be some hits and misses here. A couple of lovely shades too.

It’s better than I expected, esp since the megas after the reformulation have been pretty poor. Sure, the mattes need work or building up. And some of the shimmers are lightweights. But, let’s face it, we’ve all seen worse. Jewel tones are such favorites, that they could have scored big if this were better perform-ing product. IIRC, the consumer reviews are pretty meh. But, given the SM and PR driven nature of this business in the twenty teens, certain brands are in, and house brands are out. Especially in shadow palettes. And that’s part of what perpetuates the sameness. If this were old MUFE, I’d grab it without a swatch. THAT would have been a perfect palette.
Mega palettes such as this are just too much of a hassle for my clumsy self, and just a pain to store. I do see quite a few nice looking shades, but I also see some that look rather poor in pigmentation/application.

I don’t know if it’s new but the gallery option to view the products in the palette and swatches at a glance is super helpful, especially on larger palettes. I notice it the other day when searching and I love it!
So, you could always click a button to see “side-by-side” swatches but if you never clicked that, then you wouldn’t have seen it the swatches together (loads the swatches in the Swatch Gallery format). We just updated the design of sneak peeks (and removed the button) by giving the gallery options on the page itself 🙂 (We also removed the full-sized images from showing – you have to click a button to load them, so the option exists, but this way the page should load quickly for everyone, especially on mobile, and those who want the larger photos can still access them!)

Will you get the Editorial 2.0? I saw it in store but have yet to see it online.
At first glance, with the mix of deeper tones, and some coolness, this reminded me of Born to Run, apart from the blue shades. If the quality is there it could provide a lower priced option. I have Born to Run and it’s one of my go-to fall palettes, so would not be purchasing this myself.
Some familiar looking shades here. Definitely a pretty palette but I don’t purchase Sephora brand as it not cruelty free

Their big palettes always looks so pretty, but the quality is so inconsistent between shades that I never end up buying.

Sorry, I don’t have that!
Hey Christine, the swatch for Storm (between Aquamarine and Capri) seems to be missing?
Try refreshing the page!
Thanks!
