I thought it was pretty dupable, as well. But the layout is an excellent jumping off point. You have 3 cohesive looks, then can add/subtract/ switch up as desired. But this is great for those that get overwhelmed by large, random layout. The KVDs of the Monarch/Chrysalis/ Interstellar vintage were similarly laid out in color groupings. Nothing wrong with hints….

Probably true, esp for darker than medium skintones. CT face products especially, seem very warm to me. If I can’t get a shade in Fenty, bec it’s too yellow, I know CT is a lost cause for me. The quads look rich and pigmented, suitable for all. This palette is easy to understand, but in the end is thema con variazione of light warm shades. Probably a workhorse for her target market. Since last year’s big palette was floppish, I wonder if the big CTs get offshore mfg, like Tarte and tf have done? That can account for a lot.

This looks pretty but I will be passing since I was super disappointed in last year’s Instant Eye Palette. I kept trying to make it work, but it was sheer and difficult to blend. I did hear that the formula was different from the quads, but that didn’t help me since it was my first — and last! — CT purchase. I bought it directly from CT’s website and I should have returned it (but I did sell it anyway).

I’m curious to see swatches and eye looks using the shadows in the Happy Eyes and Confident Eyes, the latter of which are shades I don’t tend to wear.

I bought it sight unseen because I’m afraid it’ll get sold out like Pillow Talk. I’d rather buy it from Nordstrom or Sephora but I don’t want to miss out like I did with Pillow talk. I like the color scheme, the beautiful shimmers that aren’t too-in-your-face. It’s a very wearable & flexible palette, easy to go from day to night. Can’t wait to see your review!

I totally agree! This is such a versatile palette, I can easily get several different looks, including one that’s similar to Pillow Talk. Actually, I’m glad I missed out on PT, Stars offers more options and has a better price. Enjoy your Stars palette! 🙂

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I was drooling over the CT palette and then saw the UD and I was like, well, I know UD works for me and the colors seem similar. I’ll probably pick up the cherry palette and save a bit of dough.

I really like the layout and am looking forward to Christine’s review! I have not purchased any CT shadows but have many of her other products ❤️

I think this palette is going to be fairly similar to the new Urban Decay Cherry palette.
The last time CT released a palette in this kind of way it was an absolute failure, reviews I read about it said that it was very poorly pigmented, dusty and definitely not worth the money. So I do hope, for the brand’s sake, that this one is better.

Looks like a toned down UD Cherry Palette to me or UD’s is a brighter version of Charlotte’s (depending on who came up with the idea first). If I were to buy one, I’m leaning on UD’s (of course after your review 😉 ).

I swatched this today at Nordstrom and even though I have more than enough eyeshadow, I was tempted I admit.

I thought the formula was softer and more pigmented than the last holiday palette, surprisingly pigmented (not Melt or Natasha Denona pigmented but, still, high for CT and I wouldn’t have any complaints).

I did not buy it because well, on the left side, I have Tarte Toasted – warm tones covered (many times over in other palettes also), and as for the rosey right side, I just dished out for big ass Venus XL so, def do not need.

As for the dark shades, the matte one was darker than I expected. Overall well done but I am at the threshold where something has to be very impressive / unique to make its way into my stash!
