Haul: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup in Ivory. Sadly it’s too dark for me and it’s the lightest shade. There Vanila shade in the there PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse works for me but the glitter finish is what I hate about it. I’m just not meant to have Drugstore options for foundation I guess. >_<
Weekend plans: Going to a Flea-market to sell off stuff Friday, then it's my Parent anniversary on Sunday. ^_^
Do you like to DIY?: Yes all the time. Although I only didn't one year of DIY cosmetics, but yes I make my own cotumes. lol

OMG I actually seriously thought it was Thursday! LoL! I saw the Free for Haul post and I did a double take. Big Haul this week with lots of goodies. Illamasqua Fall palettes and lipgloss (yes, the brush was fine until I used it once and same problem as Christine with the brush bits sticking out..but I love the sparkly lipgloss anyway), about a dozen different nail enamels from Dior, China Glaze, Lippmann, etc, a couple of Chanel Joues Contraste for my growing collection, but my most exciting acquisition was a discontinued bottle of Illamasqua Raindrops nail polish which I paid a stupid amount for off of eBay. Now, if I could only get my grubby hands on Chanel Joues Contraste in Caprice…Fat chance!!!
Weekend Plans: Take photos of my first male ball-jointed doll from Iplehouse in Korea. I need a name for him.
Household DIY does not exist in my vocabulary. I would rather get the job done right. Harald is incredibly handy and can manage a lot, but when it comes to big jobs, or serious jobs (electrical, plumbing, hvac), we call the professionals.

I looked up Iplehouse as I have not heard of the company. OMG, the dolls look so life-like. I’m loving Douglas … Phantom of The Opera?? I always thought Grandma’s Frozen Charlie (he survived WW1, the Shoah, the Blitz and the trip to the States) was the neatest! Their is no comparison to the look.

■Haul: Find the rest of the Fergie polishes I’ve been hunting for, and take a look at the new polishes at Walgreens. Other than that I don’t plan on buying anything.
■Weekend plans: Put away the Zoya BOGO promotion nail polishes that came yesterday. Sort through my Avon polishes I need to swatch for a friend. Wash my car and SLEEP! I would cook lunches for this coming week but my oven blew up and it’s being fixed. It’s hard to cook without an oven!
■Do you like to DIY?: Only when I ‘have’ too. I love how people DIY and have such an artistic imagination.
I’m basically going to try and get as much work done this AM and hope my hard drive doesn’t fail, but that’s the point I’m at… spent all of yesterday trying to backup/get all the files I needed copied to an external drive and now I will just cross fingers it will last until the new ones are set up!

Found 2 Fergie polishes and a few of the Revlon Moon Candy at Walgreen’s. Plus 1 Revlon India Passage(??) crackle. They are having a buy 1 get 1 half off on the Revlon dual ended polishes.

SO SORRY to hear about your computer! I recently had to bite the bullet and just buy a new one because I kept having problems with my old one… I’m STILL setting the new machine up to work how I need/want it to. It’s a pain in the arse!
Haul: I actually bought stuff from the MAC Face & Body collection… Argh! Two of those contour brushes, one of the other brush, three contour creams and three pressed pigment thingies. I did pretty good – I didn’t get EVERYTHING! But I did get a fair amount 😉
Weekend plans: I was sick over my birthday last week so I had to cancel all my plans, including dinner with my parents. Might go visit them this weekend – it’s supposed to be nice up here (in the 90’s!) and my folks have a ton of property for the dogs to run around.
Do you like to DIY?: YES! It’s probably not a shocker but I do. I LOVE learning new things and I’m usually happiest when I’m making something… that can be a painting or a porch. As long as I’m creating I’m in a good space. Around the house we’ve done a fair amount… I can frame and finish a room, hang doors and windows, lay down sub-floors, tile work, light plumbing (installing things) and light electrical (outlets, fixtures, etc.) Jay is a human calculator (I’m HORRIBLE at math) so working with him goes pretty quickly – he’s great with measurements and numbers.
You know what the most hilarious part was? Last week, we decided that I’d change my set-up so I’d have a SSD main drive, then work off of a secondary drive for all my photos, so the whole thing would be faster. But, between MAC, NARS, MAC, we figured to wait until NEXT week. Lo and behold, my main drive decided it would be a good time to try and commit drive-icide. It’s not even a year old. Pfft.

Not even a year old? Yikes! I’ve had my laptop for six and a half years! yes LOL OLD! The only thing I’ve done to it was adding a wireless transmitter card because the one in the machine was awful.
Recovering yes 🙂 I’m able to eat again! Wee! LOL
This new computer I bought is the first one I haven’t had built to my exact specs so it will be an adventure. Hard drives are lame-o though, you never know when they are going to go… but they all do at some point or another. Hopefully it goes smoothly and quickly!

Do you like to DIY?: Um, Like might be too strong a word LOL I generally don’t do very much from scratch, but I have made some clothes in the past and I’m sure I will again- I have fabric! Most of my DIY lately is fixing vintage clothes so they are wearable and sometimes that is a very creative endeavour. Just try to fix a dress that has had a hanger go through the fabric of the shoulder!

Haul: On my first visit to Sephora in Mexico City last Saturday I got Urban Decay’s Naked Palette (finally mine! I’m probably the last one on Earth to get it :)!), a black Kohl eyeliner by Make Up Forever, Benefit Hello Flawless powder in Champagne, a pair of Tweezerman mini tweezers and Jack Black Lip Balm in Grapefruit (I just had to try it at least once)!
Weekend plans: Housework, playing with my pup and try to take some pictures of her, dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate his birhtday!
Do you like to DIY? – Only if it´s something pretty simple! I also prefer to leave it to the experts.

Sorry to hear about your computer! I’ve gone through hell with mine recently, so I know how aggrivating it can be. I got a virus that crashed everything and wouldn’t let me reload. My dad’s an IT and he couldn’t even figure it out. We had to send it into a shop. When we got it back, a week later my hard drive decided to die out. It is almost 7 years old (that’s definitely elderly for a Dell!) so I knew it had to eventually.
Haul: Some hair things!! I just got my hair cut this morning. What a relief! Lol She uses Schwarzkopf Professionals on me, so I purchased some things from her. Their Osis+ line is amazing! Today I got Magic Anti-Frizz Gloss, Slick Flattening Liquid, and Dust-It Mattifying Powder. Highly recommend this cocktail it if anyone has trouble with heavy or poofy ends, and flat roots.
Weekend Plans: Dropping into my favorite New Age shop tomorrow. I love the store owner with all my heart, I often go in there just to see her. 🙂 Hanging out with the boyfriend and dinner with his fam. The usual. I’m not a very interesting teenager lol
DIYs? Mehh. Sometimes. I have to be in the mood for it. I love doing crafty things, but to my own creativity. I’ve never liked following directions or rules 😉 if the price it right, I’d rather buy it.

I adore this video. Mellan is an utter PRINCE! I can’t decide what is my favorite part but I think the plastic steak crown may be up there. Also, the incredibly gentle way he has (particularly when daintily chewing) just makes me want to squeeze him to death.

I obviously have masochistic tendencies. *grin* Totally OT, Christine, is there a way to stop ads on this page from having volume whether or not you click on them? The Lisette pants ad at the bottom of the page starts up with jazz-like music, every single time today, on every single post, every single time I hit refresh or read a new post and regardless of whether I go near it or not. I can’t find a button on it to click Mute and it starts up again each time. Kinda annoying, to be honest.
If you could screen shot + copy and paste the address the ad takes you to and email me, I can look into it. We don’t allow ads to autoplay any audio, so it shouldn’t happen, actually!
Haul: NARS duos in Portobello, Kilimanjaro, and Vent Glacé, all of which I’ve had my eye on for a while; e.l.f. bronzer in Golden. I *finally* found the ever so elusive Milani single shadows, but I managed to tke a pass on them, as I realized I have *exact* dupes, or at least close enough, of the ones I wanted.
Plans: Nothing, except maybe rearranging my closet now that I’m *finally* done unpacking.
DIY?: sort of; I enjoy “re-purposing” things. For example, I “made” my own palettes for my MAC (and other similarly shaped) shadows using water-color palettes with round wells; I found several for $1 at a discount shop. As for household projects, I’ll leave them to the pros. I do want to learn to use a sewing machine, though.

Haul: I got a Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in Crimson, a refill for the “Cool” Pressed Powder Duo by Paul & Joe, The Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX01 by Kevyn Aucoin and the new Aqua Brow by MUFE in 15 (blonde), which I think was a mistake. I’m probably going to return it to get the light brown shade.
Way too much retail therapy this week… am currently restraining myself from placing an order at the Illamasqua webshop.

Do you like to DIY?: Sewing is both a necessity for me and my favourite hobby. I’m quite petite and have serious problems when trying to find clothes for my size anywhere other than the children department. So I learned to sew several years ago and now I make most of my stuff myself.

I finally have the space to do it! I’ve always been the arts and crafts type. My first DIY project for my new vanity is to create a nail polish rack. I don’t have the right tools to make a wooden one, but I have some ideas on how to earthquake proof the foam ones that are all over Youtube.
