the color looks amazing. another product some of us will miss out on, because we’re not in the US !! hopefully they’ll re-promote this and make it available internationally !

I love the way it looks in the tube, but it’s been my experience that many lipsticks that look this deep in the tube tend to apply brighter & pinker, and since it’s an online “exclusive” (how pretentious…), I can’t see how it goes on.

I have and see the same issue. I see this going deep rosy pink on me as do many purples. But not in an attractive way. They start out dark and true to colour and then bits gradually go pinkish and it looks like a pathetically botched lipstick job.

I’m so super psyched for this lippie. It’s been some time since MAC did a purple lipstick. I’m hoping it’s like the old Epic lipstick, kind of grey/purple. I am planning on getting two of these. 😀
Question Christine. Is this amplified semi-matte finish new or have we had them before? It sounds like a new type of finish to me. Tx!

My thought exactly, Helen! All the more frustrating because it’s the sort of colour I’ll usually elbow people out of the way to get my hands and lips on…

It irks me to no end that the Canadian prices on the website are about 20% more than US prices…and with the dollar at par no less!!

This bothers me a lot too, and is part of the reason I haven’t been shopping at MAC as much for the past two years. I could understand the higher prices when the Canadian dollar was less valuable, but they’ve been hovering at par for the last five or six years now. I feel cheated, as a loyal Canadian customer, and have passed on a lot of items that I would have purchased at American pricing. Their loss, I guess.

Why “Yung” Rapunxel? Azealia you are better then that! I’m glad she’s getting her own color, and I think it’s gorgeous but I have to say MAC doesn’t show much respect to their fellow countrypeople.

Here’s my Old People’s Moment

Why do performers need alter egos? Their whole life on stage is an alter ego. Garth Brooks, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj- why? Secondly, I abhor purposefully bad spelling. I kinda got the “Rapunxel”, you change the spelling to reflect an alternate meaning. I am going back to my porch to rail about the decline of spelling in the Twitter age.

Thank you ladies! Sometimes I feel like the only one who cares about this sign of civility. Now when is NARS doing a Jerri Blank lippie? C’mon MAC- so much better then the “performance artist” who pulled out of last years collection. Chanting :::do It do IT:::

No that’s a new one for me. I might have heard of The Thin White Duke or Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. That knowlege in no way alters my initial assertion.

I love Azaelia Banks! I also really admired the lipsticks that she wears in the new video for “Van Vogue”… this seems to be a great collaboration! I can’t wait to see how this swatches. I love amplified finishes. Although I am very pale, I want to get on the deep, dark lips trend this fall.

I forgot to mention I can’t wait to get my hands on this lipstick. I’ve been waiting for Mac to come out with new amplifieds. I hope it isn’t as dark as it looks. Hoping for more of a grayed purple.
