5 Truly Orange Blushes
5 Truly Orange Blushes
It’s summer — one of the best ways to add color to any look with ease is through a good blush. Tangerine is no doubt in this year, but how about some orange? Benefit Cha Cha Cha is the closest you’ll find here for a tamer shade of orange.
- NARS Liberte — burnt orange
- Make Up For Ever #12 — light-medium orange with a gold sheen
- NARS Taj Mahal — pop of orange with soft orange shimmer
- Benefit Cha Cha Cha — tint of orange-coral
- NARS Exhibit A — matte red-orange
NARS Taj Mahal is my fav, it took me almost 2 years to get my hands on it but it was worth the wait and every penny. It will last me for years because you only need the tiniest amount; literally, I barely even touch my brush to it and it gives the perfect blendable amount. It looks great on my skin tone and makes me look even more bronzed and golden. Love it!
Whille I’m sure these, or any orange blush would look absolutely stunning on someone with the right coloring, I stay far away from it. I also prefer my blush to be in the same color family as the shade I would blush naturally, which is pretty odd since I like the rest of my makeup to be bold & dramatic.
Most of the orange blushes are really in the coral or orange-coral family & anything coral is no good for my skin-tone. Nar’s TM is orange, but too deep for me. I’m looking for that perfect tangerine orange & shortly will be ordering Ben Nye’s tangerine orange as I think it’s gonna work out perfectly for me. 🙂
Orange is just not for me – orange blush, orange clothing – orange “anything” (well, except oranges! I do love to eat oranges). Seems like every autumn, they try to foist orange on us and for a cool toned gal like me, it doesn’t matter if they call it “Pumpkin”, “Terracotta” or “Autumn Rage”, it doesn’t look good and it’s still ORANGE! I guess the closest thing I have to an orange blush that i like and wear is Benefit Coralista.
I was on such an orange kick earlier. I got Taj Mahal and then had also gotten Optimistic Orange and Modern Mandarin.
I’m like “crap this really has got to stop…” but there are so many variations of orange lol. 🙁 The last one on my list is Exhibit A. I was thinking about Devil by MAC but they’re much too close…
Out of these, I have NARS’ Exhibit A and Taj Mahal. I have a sample of the MUFE HD one, and I’ve been meaning to pick it up. My favorite orange blush would have to be MAC Foolish Me, which is sadly discontinued, and has been for years now. I still have mine from right before it discontinued. NARS’ Exhibit A is a weird color for me because on me it looks like bright/neon coral-pinky-red. I love the shades for summer when I have a tan. I have an obsession with these kind of colors even though they only suit me a few months out of the year, lol.
I am in love with orange this summer. I want all the blushes! 😛
I don’t know how I could wear possible wear any of these oranges with the exception of ChaCha tint. Maybe its due to my lack of knowing how to make the shades wearable. I’m sure they are lovely on other hues but I just feel like these would make me look as if I had stuck my head in a bag of cheetos. I enjoyed the post anyways.
I agree with you…..my same thoughts exactly…even with that Cha Cha tint. I was thinking I would look like the butt of a gorilla….no offense to the gorilla/ chimpanzee….but that its what it reminds me of.
Benefit Cha-Cha is really very good when you have redness problems. I love it, it gives pretty cheeks and redness goes away ! Liberté and Taj Mahal or Exhibit A are pretty. The MUFE one well I don’t know, I don’t have any MUFE blush in fact. Soft peach/orange Orchid Rose from Chanel is gorgeous, not a bright orange but a rather muted one.
Korres #44 Orange!!! Although it leans a bit coral this is definitely my favorite orange blush. Perfect texture and nicely pigmented with a gorgeous golden sheen!
Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year blush duo. It includes 2 colors – Desert Flower (matte tangerine) and Coral (tangerine gold shimmer). I like to layer them.
I’m really in love with MAC’s Modern Mandarin. That blush gives such a beautiful flush of colour to my cheeks 🙂
@Ashley Bianca I’d have to agree with you! It’s my current fave!
My favorite orange is NARS Exhibit A. I wear it any time I feel like I really want to brighten up my day (and my face)!
Sleek Makeup’s Aruba is a great bright orange blush as well!
Last winter i swatched Cha Cha tint at Sephora an thought “Uhh, this is tooo bright for my naturally tanned skintone” but this summer i think it’s great! It’s so natural and stays for a good time!
I have 4 out of 5 on this list! Lol
Orange blush and me do not get along. I can do pinky coral and bright peach (MAC immortal flower, TF Flush) but orange, such as these saturated ones above, are a serious challenge… okay, forget challenge..downright hideous. Orange lip is no go as well. I do love to see these on others!!
I love the Optimistic orange MAC from Shop & Cook Collection!I saw your swatches here, and this month shop and cook came to brazil and I could have one from myself and I love it ♥
😀
Oh Lord, it is such a shame for me to admit this, but I have all of those and more orange blushes. And the worst part is, I thought “too bad Christine didn’t include some orange blushes I haven’t know/had”, like I need another orange blush to hoard. *sigh*
God, please cure me from this addiction 🙁
Christine, I’d love to see a top 5 of coral/peachy lipsticks! I’ve been on the lookout for one, and I don’t think you have a top 5 for that color lippy yet…
Here are corals – http://www.temptalia.com/5-great-coral-lipsticks
@Christine (Temptalia) How did I miss that?! I looked through the archives first just to make sure! Thanks for answering me. Your blog is the BEST 🙂
Illamasqua Lover or MAC Peaches would have to be my favorite orangey blush!
Revlon photoready cream blush in coral reef is neon orange!
