What was the last beauty product you finished? Will you repurchase?

I just finished Ole Henriksen’s the Truth Serum. I don’t think I’d repurchase this one.

I finished @BioDerma Sebium H20 Cleanser and I will definitely repurchase it. It’s a life saver if you tend to skip makeup removal at night like me!

I JUST hit the pan (i can’t believe i’m saying this!!) of my Bobbi Brown eye gel in Graphite.  I’ve generally thrown away so many (as they dried out or i stopped using them) but this one, i have worked to-the-bone.  Will definitely repurchase.  It’s great with brown eyes as it is not to black-black harsh.  Love this product and colour.

L’oreal Magic Smooth Souggle. I think I’ll rebuy this for the summer just because it’s so quick and easy and gives nice even light coverage and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything at all.

Redken Heavy Cream. Don’t think I’ll repurchase either. I’m actually relatively sure I’ll stick to Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque for a while. It’s a bit cheaper and works better!

Kafka Avatar

@Mostly Sunny Is the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask from Redken or from another brand and in a brown, kinda-roundish shape? I saw something labeled with a similar or identical name from Organix in the drugstore the other day and almost bought it but I’d had iffy results from another Organix product some time back.

Mostly Sunny Avatar

@Kafka Hey Kafka, the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask is from the brand Macadamia Natural Oil. It is indeed in a brown and round pot, but it is not from Organix. It comes in a lot of different sizes, including a one-ounce sachet that’s good for maybe twice if you have long hair. Hope this helps 🙂

Kafka Avatar

@Mostly Sunny  I could easily be confusing the names since you said it’s in a brown and round pot & I’m terrible with product names. So thank you for letting me know it’s good!! I need a good, affordable repair cream as the Fekkai one I got recently is far too small and expensive to really use on a frequent basis and with summer here, I use deep conditioning stuff a lot!

I’m almost done with both my Nivea Milk and Honey lip balm, and my Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow single (which I use every day as under-eye concealer).  I already bought backups of both, but I don’t want to throw them away until there’s absolutely none left.

If you don’t mind me asking, why wouldn’t you repurchase the Truth Serum? As for me, I hit the end of a lot of products all at once and repurchased last week:  Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion, NARS’ face primer & Bliss’ Baggage Handler (for morning puffiness under the eyes). Oh, Ole Henriksen’s African Red Tea night serum too. I’m about to hit the end of NARS’ Scarlet Empress and will definitely repurchase that. LOVE that vermilion crimson with a passion!

I just finished my second to last bottle of Garnier Fructis Triple Condition Conditioner and my current bottle of LA Looks Sports Gel.  I already have my new bottle of LA Looks Sports Gel waiting for me tomorrow.  LOVE that stuff and it’s $3 a bottle.  It’s great for my curly hair.  I will not be repurchasing the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition.  I love love love it, but they changed the formula.  The new formula has silicones.  I tried it and my hair hated it.  I found two bottles of the old formula at a CVS near my office but haven’t seen any since.  So, I need to find a new conditioner.

the Balm’s Sexy Mama…finished last month and repurchased. it does a good job of controlling shine and i like that it’s translucent (so it doesn’t look like you’re wearing anything).

Just this morning I finished Aussie’s moist conditioner. I actually really enjoyed it but I won’t be repurchasing any time soon as I’m currently working to reduce my beauty stash.

I love, and so does my skin, the moistering from sisley Phithoaromatique. Is the best I have ever used and will not change it for any other. Love, as well, the rouge aloure from chanel, the lipstick surprise, it’s always in my purse.  🙂

Aside from hair products, I can’t remember ever finiching *anything*, except some foundations, but I’m always moving on to the next thing. I can’t remember even hitting pan on anything, unless it broke. As for repurchasing, again, I always find something else to try. I’ve found (so far) an amazing skincare regime, so those are products I’ll likely repurchase, but being as a little goes a long way (I use jojoba oil as moisturizer), it’ll be a while (and I already have a backup bottle).

Good question…probably a Pur Minerals 4-in-1 pressed powder foundation or Clinique Superdefense (I think that’s what it’s called) day time face cream with SPF.

Estée Lauder Time Zone, I love the formula and yes I will purchase it again. I used to have the 1st formula ( some years ago ) but the current day cream is much better, so is Time Zone night cream.

Only two things I have EVER ran out of… MAC angel lipstick and MAC lingering bow pencil. Funny because I’m not a huge MAC fan or anything.

MAC Studio Finish concealer… you know I will be purchasing again! The best skin tone match concealer I have ever found for my PALE skin (NW15).

Also finished a sample size of UD’s All Nighter – bought the super jumbo size at Sephora! That stuff is great!

A trial sized Philosophy Purity Made Simple 1-Step Face Cleanser. I tried to not repurchase it, since it’s quite expensive compared to what I usually use, but . . .  well, I’m twenty and while puberty didn’t hit my skin as hard as it could have, it never really stopped hitting it, either. But suddenly, for the first time, clear skin! I tried to go back to my old face wash, but two days later I broke out horribly. Gave in and repurchased the Purity one – pricy, yes, but effective!

I didn’t mean to finish it, but my Fresh lip balm (mini) broke near the end. I have others, thankfully, but it’s still annoying. I keep debating whether I want to buy a full-size when I finally run out of minis. I love Jack Black but the Fresh is easier to apply (IMO) and doesn’t transfer as much.

Clinique high impact mascara and embryolisse moisturizer. I repurchased the mascara because it was ok, but I’m still trying to find my HG. I definitely repurchased my embryolisse. Love love love that moisturizer!

Veronica Avatar

Usually, the only products I regularly work my way through fairly quickly are mascaras and concealers, so I’ve had to replace a few of those recently.  I’m getting very, very low on my Maybelline cream mousse blush in Soft Plum, though, so I’m willing to bet that’ll be gone next…which is making me sad since it’s my go-to shade, and they discontinued the formulation recently.  🙁

Safyre Avatar

I don’t remember whether it was MAC’s Mineralized Charged Water or Burt’s Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm because both were finished around the same time. I won’t be purchasing either because I’ve found products I prefer to both. 😛

The only product I consistently use and replace is my lip balm.  I use it day and night, and it adds instant hydration to my lips!  I also wear it underneath my lipsticks/glosses, which means that I go through tubes pretty quickly.  I can’t live without it, and I buy it in packs of three.  Money well spent!

Wet n Wild’s fast dry nail topcoat! It was thicker than I’d prefer and didn’t dry my polish any faster than other cheapo topcoats I’ve used, so I have no intention of buying it again. However, this one came in a set and if I ever bought a similar set again I’d still try to use it up.

The last full sized product I finished was Kiehls Calendula Herbal Extract Toner, it was ok, I am not planning to buy it again! Also, thanks to lovely ladies in Sephora, I got two big samples of the last Nars tinted moisturizer (I cannot write that whole name down here, lol) and Clinique BB Cream to give a shot.. Clinique BB Cream was perfect!!!! I finished it and repurchased again (by the way my skin type is combination to oily with lovely pores :S) Before that, I finished Nars sample I used it like 3 weeks for everyday and at the end of te day I always cleaned my makeup, but Nars’s tinted moisturizer gave me soo much black and white heads especially in my cheeks, so I’ll definitely pass on that!! What a shame, I was really looking forward to buy that stuff….
Oh, also, depending on your comments I tried Clinique’s moisture surge bla bla gel-cream and it was nice too. I finished its small size (15 ml) now will be buying full size if I can ever finish my mountain of moisturizers 🙂

I just finished an 8oz bottle of Philosophy’s Purity Cleanser today. I should have bought the 32oz when it was just on easy pay on QVC.

Australian Organics Moisturising Body Lotion with Kakadu plum & Lillypilly. Will not purchase again. I did not like the consistency of it. Reminded me of a certain bodily fluid I dare not to mention on this board.
