Illamasqua Naked Strangers Collection for Summer 2012
Illamasqua Naked Strangers Collection for Summer 2012
A place where alter egos are laid bare and naked flesh is a source of unashamed inspiration. In this delicate tipping point between intimacy and pleasurable detachment, we revel in the unknown; exploring the distance between pure Monogamous, gilded Faithful and uninhibited Swinger. Exposed nude tones, adorned with rich licks of gold, leave you gasping for more. Don’t restrain yourself. Unless, of course, you enjoy it.
“Naked Strangers captures inner glows and depths. The deeply and darkly alluring exists alongside ethereal shimmering brilliance. We are complex and multifaceted whilst also being naked to the world.” — Alex Box, Illamasqua Creative Director.
“Naked Strangers represents everything about borderlines…the human edge between romance and permissive intimacy…a step beyond control, a step past the edge and a collection of gilded moments upon the tip of sensation. Beautiful nudes with metallic edge set amongst eclectic textures.” — David Horne, Illamasqua Director of Product Development.

The author of Illumasqua’s press releases must be one hell of a multi-tasker to get all of that written down with only one hand on the keyboard and the other thumbing through a nearby thesaurus.
Am loving that gold gloss, though!
I thought you were going to say one hand doing something else. That’s how I tend to feel about Illamasqua anyway. 😉
I’m a little confused… I’ve already seen people blogging swatches of the blushes and lip products and your post also says, that they’re already avaiable to registered members.
But all I can see in the Illamasqua webshop are the nail varnishes. Did I miss out on the other products? :o(Which can’t really be true… they shouldn’t run out of a product before the official release.)

usualy i love illamasqua, but this collection isn’t for me..
The campaign photo is gorgeous!
I need the gold lipgloss IDEC. *A*
This collection looks absolutely MIND BLOWING.. Cant wait!!
I want all the nail varnishes and both the blushes..oi! Make-up budget dictates a ‘you don’t need the entire freaking collection’ attitude instead. I usually do not like Matte nail varnish..maybe I can skip on the pink.. LoL
I’m excited to check out both of the blushes!
the blushes sound nice! i can’t wait to see them in person
Nice! I think people will love the neutrals
Ooohhh, I am so loving this…this is bad though. I want All of it!
I love the photos, especially that fab collar!!
@Angelcat47 Just an FYI, you can get a copy of the silver choker bib collar for not much, if you’re interested. (Illamasqua has combined 4 diff. necklaces together, 3 of them being the leather things on top of the silver one). My mother has that actual bib collar and it’s incredibly chic in real life. It’s a really crazily-priced designer thing (forget by whom – maybe Givenchy or Kors. No, I think it’s perhaps Rodarte) but I saw knock-offs some months ago on eBay. I know because I bought one from there after lusting for her necklace. LOL If you don’t mind a copy, the prices are pretty good. Maybe $22 or $25, if I remember correctly? I suspect Illamasqua has used the knock-off in this advert too, because I can’t see them shelling out those sorts of prices for the real thing.
Illamasque breaks the creative limit every time. Makes it more fun to wear make-up!
I have no idea how or where I’d ever wear it, but I am longing for that gold gloss. Scrangie did swatches of the nail polishes and they are *gorgeous*, especially Swinger.
Well, I don’t like it. Illamasqua is very pretty for the stage, some collections are gorgeous but I’ll try soft blushes first ( Tremble, Nymph or other ), I’ll do the same for lipsticks and nail polishes. To me Illamasqua is a dramatic Shakespearian brand, it’s beautiful on the swatches but wearing such colours no.
I always love Illamasqua’s promo images. They are so wild! I’m not super excited for these shades, but I’ll check out the blushes.
