I’ve never been very drawn to Clarins for makeup, however I find these Crystal Lip Balms really intriguing! Also, the violet eyeliner in the promo picture looks stunning!
Are you going to review the eyeshadow palette Christine?
This is the summer collection I want the most by far..
Even though I have never tried anything from clarins.
I don’t usually go for Clarins, but the eye palette and bronzing powder look beautiful, might have to go for a gander when this releases!!
I can see myself using these lip colors because they’re so organic. I love the packaging of all the items, And they’re reasonably priced. I am a little disappointed though thay they couldn’t come up with a different combination of shadows. I have all these colors. I can’t wait for your reviews though, Christine.
Ohhhhhhhh my, my, my!!!!! The eye palatte is BEAUUUUUUUUUUUUUTIFUL!!!!!
Wow, beautiful. What color do you think the model is wearing in the promo pic?
thanx,
On her lips, thanx.
Wow! I love the eyeshadow palette packaging.
I use Clarins a lot for skin/body care; less so for makeup but every makeup item I’ve purchased from them, bar 1, has been excellent.
Wow! I wasn’t even expecting to see something so beautiful from Clarins. The eye palette is stunning, probably the best design on an eye shadow I’ve ever seen. It would be a shame to use it and distort the design! 🙂
I have been waiting for this FOREVER!!!!!!!!! Please review the palate Christine! Also, i’m wondering if she’s wearing the purple shadow under her eye or the Kaja, hmmm…..
Is it May yet???? I have been waiting for this collection!!
Wow, the way they’ve done her eyes is stunning. I wonder if the purple is the eye pencil or the eyeshadow. I rarely go for neutrals or beige/browns and there are a LOT of similar eyeshadow combos out there (esp. from YSL) but, I have to admit, the photo did make me take a 2nd look at the eyeshadows and go, “hmmm.” And THAT, is the sign of good marketing and good photography! Making us a lemming for something we would not normally ever consider. 😉
Omg that lip colour looks gorgeous on her! 😀
Whenever I think of the name “Clarins”, I think of either “Claires”, the jewelry store for tweens, or a cheapo drugstore brand.
I am interested to try to line and see how their fair in quality compared to other high end brands!
Beautiful promo – may try something similar tomorrow 😀
The quad is really pretty, but I chose Nars and Dior for summer. Clarins is improving, collections look nice.
I have crystal balm in coral and it’s absolutely lovely. My first Clarins product ever. I am probably going to get more. Very impressed with it.
The look on the model in the promo pic is just gorgeous!
I totally agree!
Love the look of that second palette!
On a completely unrelated note, I have to say whoever did the airbrushing for this ad did a fantastic job. Usually, they go way too far and make the model look completely unnatural, but there’s just enough texture on this skin to keep it fairly realistic. There’s just enough “imperfection” to make the look seem attainable, if that makes any sense.
Do you know of any dupes for that purple eyeshadow in the palette? It is absolutely gorgeous.
Yes, please…I love the shade and am interested in other options!
Am I the only one who find that promo picture of the model to be absoloutely dreadful? From a photographer’s angle the cut is less than stellar, the make-up is nothing special and I don’t think the model is doing a good job of presenting the make-up with her expression – especially her eyes. I just can’t like this.
/unpopular opinion
I’ve never been really interested in Clarins (I was scared off by the skincare prices haha) but that eyeshadow palette is absolutely GORGEOUS! If it’s some in the $40 range in Canada (damn you stupid international price hikes!) I’ll definitely get it!
Omg that palette looks amazing. PLEASE REVIEW IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE <3
Second that…I know you must be very busy…I’m not familiar with this brand and will not spend that much money without input from an expert I trust aka you Christine 🙂
Christine, the first thing I thought of was that you would ROCK that promo look! (Minus the upper eyeliner, of course.) Second thing is that the packaging really reminds me of the Guerlain from last summer. (or was it 2 summers ago – with summer collections coming out in March, I can’t keep it straight.)
The Quench lip tubes are amazing. I found one at Winners, and they really are moisturizing and super glossy (but not sticky). They melt onto the lips.
I am obsessed with that model’s eye look. I am thinking of how I can recreate it with stuff I already own… Hmmm…
Violet brings out the color in the eys like no other kohl.
Love this look for Spring! It looks soft, clean and fresh!
Looks gorgeous!
I love Clarins. I’m loving that eye palette.
I picked this palette up yesterday and while it’s smaller than I expected (something about the big photos here tricks me into thinking things will be larger than they are! Same happened with the UD 15th anniversary and Mariposa palettes). Anyway, it’s lovely. Pigmentation on all but the top left, peachy-gold shade is good. I am also a bit disappointed by the eyeliner….I was in a rush this morning so perhaps that isn’t the fairest test but I applied it with a fine brush moistened with water and – NOTHING. I got an stiffer angled liner brush and some Lise Watier Metamorfix an the results were better but, as I say, I was in a hurry and didn’t really have the time to work up a good “paste” with the liner. The shadows can be used wet or dry, which is also a nice option so I will try the top left shade wet to see if colour payoff is better. Still I’m quite happy with this and had an 8 dollar off voucher, so that was also nice.
