Wow, wish I knew what the model was wearing on her lips! Would anybody know a dupe for it?
I don’t know an exact dupe for that dark a purple, but Illamasqua has some quite intense lip glosses in purple.
something like Move
or Fierce
Over MAC cyber that would probably be perfect!
I seriously hate crackles! I don’t like how it looks.
Man, the photoshoppers really went to town on the model; the ridges above her cupid’s bow are nearly nonexistent.
Also, crackle, woo. I would much prefer these as straightforward polishes, particularly the blue one.
Try the nubar sparkle collection. They look very similar and aren’t crackle
Crackle polishes were fun in 2011. Now I think they’re kinda lame. I can’t really imagine this would sell.
correction, they were fun in 2010
Correction, they were fun in 1998 (the first time around) Down with crackle!
Sorry, that’s gotta be downright sloppy looking in person. My regular China Glaze Crackles changed consistency to that of Elmer’s Glue after only about 2 months, and I did buy them when they first came out, so I’ll never chance a glitter crackle.
I don’t even really like crackles, if I’m being completely honest with myself, but I’m probably going to buy these anyway because they’re going to look so pretty in my collection. (That makes me sound like a polish hoarder, but maybe I kind of am…)
Also, the lipcolor in the promo image is pretty awesome. One day I should try a purple lip…
Crackle? Yes! Glitters? Yes! Glittery crackle?? No! Just way too much. Choose one or the other, or use a glittery polish as a base.
I personally feel like the crackle nail polish trend is being dragged out way too much. They were cool when they first came out and only one or two brands had them, but now they’re everywhere. I think the CG colors are gorgeous but I don’t see myself buying them.
I agree. I liked it at first but now I’m crackled out. I love the colors, and would prefer them as regular polish.
Man, same, they were cool at first but now they’re way overdone. I way prefer wearable collections like CG’s hunger games one to this special effect stuff.
These look fun but I’ve tried a few crackles and I have not been impressed. If these look cool in the swatches I might give the purple or fuschia a go just because.
im so tired of the crackle fad
Dear China Glaze,
More holos, less crackle/glitter. Thanks.
Sincerely, Jess
PS: In the future please take please take actual photos of your products instead of just pasting them onto stock images in Photoshop.
omg yes! HOLO’S If they bring another line like the “omg” collection i would be all over it! I did get a few of them off ebay but no all of them sadly..cost way to much..China Glaze please listen to Jess, she knows what shes talking about and what we really want!!
Even though I ‘still sometimes wear my crackle polish, I really don’t need anymore of them…
I would totally be all over that purple glitter if it wasn’t that formula! This trend is being dragged on too much. I didn’t like it to start, and now it’s just ruining colors that would be pretty if they weren’t crackle.
Two shades of purple but no pink?? What were they thinking?
I agree that the crackle polish phase is done. Plus, the glittery sparkly crackle polishes don’t work that well.
I love me some glitter nail polish but this is just pure hideousness. The crackle trend needs to DIE. I used crackle stuff by Cover Girl back in the 90s.. this stuff is so passe it’s ridiculous – and hideous!
i hate china glaze crackle polishes. They drry out while in the bottle and yes i seal them all tight
I think I’m over the crackle craze for now.
I don’t like at all but still I will buy them …
Crackle went ‘mainstream’ and old too quickly
Bring me bold colors, really opaque glitter, neon pastels, holographic glitter! There’s so much to chose from and they go for crackle. Ugh
I’d rather see Neon collection. So much more fun and suitable for summer!
I am with everyone else- sooo over crackle!!
Crackle polishes=ew. Never was a fan. They just look so…tacky.
I kind of agree..over some colors they do look kind of gross, personally i think black is the only color that looks good layered.
Nice but I’ve gotten over the crackle phase, but China glaze seems to be going through some sort of Glitter phase themselves. They had the 3d glitters, soon is coming the prismatic glitters, and now crackle glitters…they just lovin them glitters! lol Dont get me wrong i like them myself but not soo much.
I just found out some awesome news about china’s glaze up coming collection for this year… DUOCHROMES!! I AM FLIPPIN EXCITED! GETTING ALL THOSE..cant wait till someone has those up on the blogs and a release date! Looks like China glaze will be getting back up from this glitter/crackle rut after all. =)
I frankly prefer glitter crackles to cream.. maybe I just didn’t hoard enough of them over the last couple of years, but I’m excited for these.
ehhhhh. I thought crackle was over?
Working at Ulta, the general consensus amongst customers was that crackle is “tacky” now. We put all OPI and China Glaze crackles on clearance for $2. Glitter seems like a pretty idea for it, though.
I love them! But I’ve always been a little quirky when it comes to trends. If you like it, rock it!
Nah, over crackles now and the way they go gloopy really quickly!
over it
Ehhh.. The $8 I spend on a bottle of crackle gets wasted because it cracks inside the bottle. I’m digging the colorblocking nail trend
Sounds like a disaster to me but i hope it would apply/crack nice.
Im quite bored of them…
I thought crackle was hideous when it first came out…
Gimicky as hello.
I think *Gleam Me Up* would look great over *Riveting*.
Christine, have you heard anything about the China Glaze Neon Summer 2012 collection? I read online it was supposed to be out March/April but have yet to see it for sale anywhere. Hmmmm…
I haven’t, sorry!
