The Zodiac palette is a mix of 24 colors that incorporate 12 buttery mattes and 12 high-impact baked shimmers. All shadows work well with a brush or fingers. The finger swatches are killer which of course do not influence the way it would appear on the eyes with a brush. I personally find that the baked shimmers are best applied with fingers with minimal fall out. The mattes blend effortlessly with either a synthetic or natural brush. The shadows are highly pigmented so a little tap goes a long way. There is minimal kick back with the mattes and almost none with the baked shimmers. The colors lean toward the neutral side which gives you a balance of cools and warms. You will get a mix of warm browns and oranges with greens that lean towards a dark olive shade with mixes of violets on the cool side as well as neutral pinks and blues. There is a good performing true black matte as well as a perfect warm taupe transition shade which heavily reminds me of the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer palette in shade Courtney - down to the feel of the formula. The baked highlighter in the middle turns up ashy on olive, yellow or beige undertones but would be a great highlight for those with cool undertones and light to fair skin. It does make a very decent inner corner highlight for all skin tones. Overall the palette is affordable and high quality which gives it a 4.5/5 rating.
