What is your current hair care routine?

I’m using a Ouai shampoo/conditioner set, and then I’m almost done with Moroccanoil. I started to use Olaplex before washing, too. When I blow dry, I’ve been using Living Proof Restore Instant Protection Spray.

I wash it with Klorane Centaury Shampoo. Towel dry, then spray in Pravana Nevo Leave-In Conditioner and Big Sexy Hair Root Pump. Then I blow dry it, followed by a light spray of AG Firewall before the flat iron. The whole thing takes no more than 15 minutes, which is good because although I love doing my makeup, but I hate doing my hair.

I only wash my hair once a week, usually on Saturday nights. When I do wash, I alternate between using Unite Weekender Shampoo and the Unite Luxury Conditioner and Lush Fair Trade Honey Shampoo and Shea Moisture conditioner (I forget which one at the moment, but it’s a very lightweight conditioner, since the Lush shampoo is so moisturizing). Then, I put on a heat protector spray by Living Proof, and a heat styling cream by Briogeo, put it up in a bun for overnight sleeping, and dry it the next morning using my hair dryer. I style Monday morning with either a straightening iron or curling wand. I try not to use heat on my hair more than a couple times a week to restyle; after that, it’s dry shampoo and a ponytail or a bun for the last couple of days of the week.

I alternate between UNITE shampoo and conditioner or Pureology shampoo and conditioner, and I use an ACV vinegar rinse on Sundays. For styling, I use a combo of Verb Ghost Oil and either UNITE styling products or DevaCurl.

Currently trying out the DevaCurl line. I have both the low-poo and no-poo, but I don’t love either. Granted, I also don’t hate them, but they don’t make my hair feel clean. I’ve been using sulfate free shampoos for years, so I thought these would be well-suited for me hair but I just never feel great after washing. However, I have been loving the DevaCurl wave maker. It’s super light but still moisturizing, and I’ve been getting good use out of it.

I also recently picked up the Moroccanoil hair mousse, but that’s been a nightmare for my hair. It makes my hair so sticky and greasy. I will definitely be returning it.

When I’ve washed my hair, I have been using the Malibu Scalp Therapy packet, Un Do Goo Shampoo and Hard Water conditioner since my last haircut. When my hair is wet I use the Living Proof styling creams the 5 in 1, the primer and the style extender I believe). Other days I use Batiste Dry Shampoo and EVA NYC dry conditioner. I usually keep my hair naturally wavy.

I have pastel blue hair, so I mainly focus on not trying to damage my hair further after years of bleaching. So, I wash my hair once every 8 days. When I do wash, I use Pureology Strength Cure shampoo and condition with Overtone Pastel Blue, the Deep Treatment. This refreshes my hair color like no other! I gently squeeze out the excess water with a towel and run Moroccan Oil Light (the regular stains my light hair!) & Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair leave in mask through the ends and then air dry. I have naturally straight hair, so I almost never need to blow dry it. If my roots look oily, I’ll spritz some Batiste Dry Shampoo throughout, but try to limit that to every couple of days. Other than that, I’ll use a deep conditioning mask every 3rd shampoo just to really hydrate my ends. Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask is my favorite, but it is pricey!

I have a head full of thick, curly, yet fine, frizz prone hair that also is prone to breakage. It also tends towards dryness
My routine pretty much addresses those issues. Once per week, I do a full, thorough shampooing using Matrix Biolage Morning Oil Blend Shampoo from their Exquisite Oils line, followed up with either OGX Keratin Oil Conditioner or, for deeper moisturizing, Shea Moisture Superfruit 10-In-1 Renewal System Hair Masque. Once rinsed out and towel dried, I work some Shea Moisture African Water Mint & Ginger Leave In Detangler into the ends and upper layer. Comb through, wrap it up into a topknot. Wait 15 to 30 minutes, then apply a Moringa blend hair oil, Verb and Matrix Biolage both make good ones. Followed up with a straightening/smoothing hair cream before blowing it out straight using a huge round blow out brush and my beat-up looking old Conair blow-dryer. Each night I pull my hair up into 2 twists secured with spin-pins to keep it from tangling or reverting. During summertime, if needed, I will do a mid-week conditioning cleanse to refresh my scalp and remoisturize my hair.

I use a Joico (I think) shampoo for colour treated hair and then one of a whole passel of products/leave in conditioners after: Moroccan Oil or Macadamia Oil, AG CC Cream or Phyto9 or Living Proof Style Extender or Bumble and bumble, Aveda Kenra or Paul Mitchell smoothing/glossing/straightening/blow-drying products (gels or sprays). AG Firewall when I’m flat-ironing (which is almost always) and Ojon Restorative Hair Serum (or something like that – hardly matters as it’s now no longer available but I am so happy I have a large bottle of it). I’m embarrassed to admit that this is sort of the tip of the iceberg!

My hair changed after my chemotherapy and coupled with aging and familial thinning hair it is not very good hair!! I have tried many different shampoos, conditioners and treatments and while some seem like they work for awhile they all seem to ultimately stop working. I finally decided to bite the bullet and have started to use Rogaine. I use Bumble and Bumble Thickening shampoo and conditioner. I try to wash my hair every 3rd day so that I don’t get too much build up of product. My hair does style easily so I usually towel dry it and then add a root lifting mouse, currently Bumble and Bumble, and then blow dry with a cool setting. I have quite a bit of body so I can scrunch it to get a little wave or occasionally I will curl with electric curlers. I don’t love doing my hair so I usually do the minimum to get by. I use Batiste Dry Shampoo occasionally for added grit or if my roots are getting too oily. I have been looking for a hair piece to give me some volume when my hair is pulled up but my hair is salt and pepper right now and trying to get the right shade of grey/brown is proving harder than I thought.

Ha ha, wash, comb and go. The ultimate in utter laziness.

My hairdryer shorted out a year ago (and almost set my hair on fire but that’s neither here nor there, LOL) and I haven’t bothered to replace it. I have no tools at all, a mini dry shampoo, some Ouai wave spray and apart from my comb, that’s about it. I just chopped off most of my hair (6 – 7 inches) and now I have a choppy, textured bob, so it’s a lot easier to handle.

I alternate between Hask Kalahari Melon, Coconut Monoi and H&S dry scalp care from shampoo and conditioner.

I have very fine thin hair. Every 6 months or so I get it cut and highlighted to cover the few grays that are coming in and it also gives me a little bit of body., my hair grows very slowly I could probably go a whole year without getting it cut, even with the biotin supplements I take. I just returned from a vacation to the US recently and picked up a supply of Kristin Ess hair products from Target, everything the line has for volume, I alternate that with the Living Proof line it really works well on my hair. I wash my hair every other day as it gets greasy, I can use dry shampoo for one day but that’s it. I don’t work outside of home so I don’t do my hair every day so my use of heated tools has dropped dramatically. When I do go out I use heated rollers or a curling iron/flat iron. I just purchased the Dyson hair dryer and love it I have had hairdressers complain that my hair is so hard to work with because it is so fine and it seems to be thinning now too, it sucks to get old!

I color my hair at home with Pravana in a “normal” shade and I use the Olaplex salon system with it. I use Olaplex 3 once a week. I have been trying out new shampoos, looking for a good cruelty free brand and at the Sephora sale I splurged on Amika shampoo and conditioner in the restorative formula. So far I am really happy with it because I don’t need to use any additional products to smooth it. I wash it every 5 to 7 day’s and blow dry with a paddle brush. If it gets wet and curls up on me, I will use a flat iron but that is not. regular thing.

I use a variety of shampoos and conditioners – the volume range of any brand, as my hair is still quite oily at the roots.
Currently I am using Redken Semsitive shampoo, a Davines volumising shampoo and a Paul Mitchell one – alternating with the respective conditioners. I just condition the ends.

Usually I try to only wash my hair a couple times a week, because that way it’s easier to maintain the texture I’ve manipulated it into and because I have a dry scalp. I rotate between 3 different shampoos-Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner, Biolage HydraSource shampoo and Conditioning Balm, and Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner (I figure good enough for a Sofia Vergara endorsement, good enough for me)-so as to not irritate the dry scalp. Afterwards, I do some sort of style to add wave/curl to it-pin curls, 4-6 braids, or 4-6 minibuns-and let it airdry that way for anywhere from a few hours to a full day later, depending on my laziness levels at the time and my schedule. If I do the braids and then need to leave the house, I’ll put them all into a ponytail.

I use a variety of shampoos & conditioners try to wash my hair no more than twice a week it is a lot healthier now than when training for marathons I would wash it almost daily no good! I had terrible full head highlights two years ago finally is back to normal after many cuts. I love Cantu Shea Butter I get it at Target I swear that thing brought my hair back to health and will continue to use. On the hunt always for moisturizing shampoos/conditioners. Sometimes I’ll just use conditioner to avoid drying my tons of volume soft wavy hair. Touch a water hose or have a humid day and my hair gets frizzy. I use simple coconut or Moroccan oil for the frissies and add slight gloss I like Silk. I wear mostly natural now is in bob style letting it grow a bit to my shoulders. Didn’t like Loreal sulfate free shampoo it didn’t do any good to my mane. I like Paul Mitchell but don’t purchase continuously. Gardnier I find good doesn’t damage my hair and gives it shine. Pantene. Oh! I use my Conair big curls for special occasions to a party, etc. should do it more often hair does come out so nice and it looks longer, softer and healthier but I don’t want to bother doing it often I like it wavy also.

I have fine, thin, frizzy, curly hair. I wash it about once a week with Khiel’s amino acid shampoo and conditioner (mostly because it’s free at my gym). If I’m washing at home I use a Christophe Robin shampoo and a Maui Moisture conditioner. I also just started using Olaplex 3 (too early to tell if it’s working). After conditioning, I use a Shea Moisture leave in conditioner followed by a curl cream (B&B, Briogio, or Deva Curl coconut). If my ends get dry mid-week, I use a hair oil (Verb or Moroccan oil if I have a sample) or add some of the Shea Moisture leave in.

It depends if I’m doing curly or straight. If I’m rocking the natural curls I need to watch every day. I use Matrix curl shampoo and conditioner. Deva Curl Super Cream to style it. Let it air dry. If I’m going to wear straight I wash every other day. I wash with Redken Frizz Dismiss Shampoo and Conditioner. Use Red pillow proof spray and some Redken Diamond oil to try it straight. Run a flat iron through to finish.
