Reader Mindy suggested this post, and here are my top five yellow eyeshadows… honestly, it was pretty easy, because there aren’t nearly as many bright yellow eyeshadows in my repertoire as one might think!  I look forward to seeing your favorites to find some new shades to try!

  1. MAC Bright Sunshine — sunshine yellow with a shimmer-sheen

Hmm. I don’t own *any* yellow shadows.
They may look all right for a certain kind of look, on a few people, but on green-eyed NW15 me, I don’t think so.

I’m of Asian decent and have always wondered how yellow makeup would look on me lol I have warm undertones but I feel that yellow color on my face wouldn’t bring out any features, possibly only making me look more “Asian?” Or maybe that’s just a neural thing where I tend to pick out negative connotations to anything “yellow” because I’m “yellow.” But I love wearing yellow clothes and receive compliments whenever I wear them! 😀

Gosh Effects powder in Golden Gate is my favourite yellow (pigment or shadow). It’s more gold, i guess but it most assuredly is a YELLOW gold. I do own MACpro Canary Yellow, but I rarely use it. I also have GOSH effects powder in Pineapple which is nice as well.

Out of all my yellow eyeshadow hoarding, Buttercupcake is my favourite bright yellow. But after this post I need to track down those 2 pretty Inglots!

The yellows I reach for most often are MAC Bright Sunshine and Bright Future. I also have MAC Canary Yellow, Crest the Wave (lighter yellow) and Goldenrod (darker) and MUFE #71 and #2. I like yellow!

MAC’s chrome yellow is surprisingly an awesome yellow (surprising because usually MAC’s mattes aren’t the best) but I also love butter cupcake. The two are very similar. I also agree with whoever said Ben Nye Sun Yellow! That is an awesome shimmery yellow.

And @Carla, I’m an nw15 with hazel eyes- i rock it! Yellow is my favorite color haha, I just have fun with it 🙂

I love yellow eyeshadows. I´m NW15/20 and it looks great. I like to use alone too. So, I don´t think it´s a difficult color.
