Skintone/Coloring: Light neutral with green eyes and dark hair

Favorite Look Worn: Urban Decay Ultimate Basics eyeshadow palette (Commando in crease, Blow on brow bone, Nudie on lid, Tempted in outer V), Marc Jacobs Highliners (Brownie slightly smudged under outer bottom lashline and In the Buff on lower waterline), Clinique Berry Pop Blush, Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in the drop-dead gorgeous shade Pirate. Plus my everyday usuals: Clinique Brow Shaper in Charcoaled, ABH Brow Wiz in Granite, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, RCMA No Color Powder, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light Neutral. (Side note: Continuing my quest to use my rarely used palettes and lipsticks—though it wasn’t my *favorite* look of the week—I used the UD Naked3 palette and MAC Mehr lipstick, and it came out very nice. Need to reach for these products more often.)

Most Used Products: My everyday usuals (see previous answer) plus Marc Jacobs In the Buff Highliner and Clinique Berry Pop Blush. Also, every week I forget to mention one of my biggest HG products that I use every single day: NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer. I rub it into my brows and all over my lids right before applying my eyebrow and eyeshadow products and it keeps them perfect for 10+ hours. I pick up several of them every time Ulta has a NYX sale.

New Beauty Discoveries: I’m in love with the Marc Jacobs In the Buff Highliner, which magically and miraculously stays on my lower waterline all day long! How does it do that??? Amazing!

My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: for eyes, 3 shades from Stila’s Eyes are the Window Spirit palette: Chinoise from lashes to brow, Wheat (one of my favourite shadows) on the inner 2/3 and the darkest shade (I think it’s called Espresso) on the outer third and into the outer crease. I have also used Pigalle in the deep crease to “warm it up” (I don’t really see the point but a lot of bloggers seem to think this is essential and I figure “What the heck”); Sephora Cappuccino pencil liner, MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and either Total Wow, Craving or Brick-o-La lipstick (I’m trying to finish all 3 so I can B2M them)
Most used product of the week: Lise Watier Multi Fini and the Stila Spirit palette
Any new beauty discoveries: sadly, none.

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation N360, Fenty ProFilt’r 260, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: A very simple, yet lovely look that surprised me! Eyes: after applying primer and my go-to browbone shade, MAC Orb, I took CP SSS in Buzzin’ on a CP blending brush and applied it in crease blended upwards into Orb and also on inner and outer corners, lower lashline. Then used Viseart Minx light golden beige shade on mid-lid as a halo. Used the deep brown to define lower lashline and *slightly* deepen outer V. CP Supermodel inner corner, black liner and mascara. Cheeks: Nars Fetishised blush and ABH Amrezy Highlighter, a touch of Laura Mercier Bronze 03. Lips: UD Sheer Slowburn.

Most used product of the week: Probably Fenty ProFilt’r Foundation? And Viseart Tryst Palette.

Any new beauty discoveries: Only that having aging, yet zit prone combination skin makes for great difficulty in wearing an oil free, matte formula foundation. BUT. I may have finally found a way to wear my Fenty ProFilt’r Foundation! Add some MAC Strobe Cream to 2 pumps of foundation on the back of my hand and use a damp Beauty Blender type sponge to apply. This looks a thousand times better than brush application! Still appears a little dry, but that’s alright, I guess.

God, I hear you on the aging zit-prone skin. I’ve never had any difficulty with my skin until this past month. Now I have pimples! I can’t get to the gynecologist soon enough to figure out what’s going on with my hormones.

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite look you’ve worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma; Apocalyptic Beauty Ghost of Christmas Pesent (light shimmery copper-rose shade) over the entire eye. Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Eyeliner in Navy for kitten flick eyeliner. Physician’s Formula Sexy Booster Va Va Voom Mascara. ABH Love Letter (brows). FACE — Nyx Angel Veil primer; e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation in Light Ivory; e.l.f. HD Powder; Sephora Tranquil as contour.; Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in LIght Bronze on cheeks, hairline, bridge of nose, and chin; e.l.f. Original Mist & Set. LIPS — JCat Pout-holic Lipstick in Man Candy Mon (grayish-blue).

Most used product of the week: Usual dailies

Any new beauty discoveries: None this week

My skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow tones, dark brown hair and eyes.

Favorite look you worn: Dewy base with rose pink blush and gold highlighter, very simple, muted beige and soft brown eyeshadow, with lots of lashes and black liner and Colourpop Lullaby on the lips, blotted ever so slightly. I love the combination of pink blush and vivid red lips.

Most used product of the week: H’mm… probably the ND Citrus palette. I was having a lot of trouble getting the cream products to pick up on various brushes and finally settled of a Guerlain natural hair (I think its either goat or pony) blush brush that works well.

Any new beauty discoveries: I’ve been having some very annoying creasing issues on my left eyelid (IDEK) so I’ve ditched my beloved Milani and moved to TFSI, which seems to have negated it for now.

PS. Christine, you may like to adjust the wording on the second point to favorite look worn or favorite look you wore – and don’t apologise for making a tiny error or beat yourself up about it either (like I know you tend to do!) 🙂 😉

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones, MAC NW 10

Favorite look: I have done several looks this week that I really loved. I had picked up 3 new palettes during the Sephora sale and the 20% off Ulta sale. I picked up the PUR Visionary, Dominique Cosmetics Latte palette and Pat MacGrath Subliminal Platinum Bronze palette. I love all the palettes and have really enjoyed using them individually and mixed together. I think my favorite look was a simple one that used all three of the palettes. The PML Platinum palette is not an inclusive palette for me and cannot stand alone. It has only one true matte and it is a pretty deep shade so I used the light brown shade from the Visionary palette as my transition, then the shade Caramel from the Latte palette to deepen the crease. I used the shade cream from the Latte palette on my brow bone and two shades from the Pat MacGrath palette. I used Telepathic Taupe on the outer half of the lid and then Platinize on the outer third of the lid. I used a matte black eye liner by Essence to create a small wing (only thing I didn’t love about the look as I am not good at getting a decent wing on my very hooded eyes so wished I had just stopped the liner at the end of my lash line) and my usual triple mascara concoction. This time I used Lashfood’s Lash Primer, Benefit Roller Lash and Cover Girl Super Sizer in waterproof. I used a Jill Stuart blush which is just numbered and is #01. I have been using it a lot lately as I like the slight sheen it leaves on the skin. I used a mix of Becca Amethyst and Pearl Highlighter. I really wanted a nude bronzy/brown lipstick but since I look terrible in those shades I went with Guerlain Rouge G #06 which pulls peachy on me.

Most used product: PUR Visionary palette only because I had it the longest and used it in some form every day this past week.

Beauty discoveries: Nothing really but wanted to give a quick update on a couple of products I picked up. The first was the Hanacure masks. I finished the 4th mask and frankly, I didn’t see much if any real improvement. I would not purchase again. I am really liking the Drunk Elephant Sukari Baby Facial. I can actually feel it working. My skin feels toned and with a much brighter appearance and my hyperpigmentation is slightly lighter. I am also really liking the NIOD Eye Concentrate. It isn’t an overnight fix but I do feel like my lower eye bags are decreasing and the skin does not appear as dry. It is a work in progress.
Guerlain Rouge G’s are worth every penny. I have three now and similar to the PML Luxe Trance and Luxe Matte, they are just so comfortable to wear, don’t bleed and while they aren’t liquid lips they last quite well.

Deborah, I have the Pat McGrath Subliminal Bronze palette and find the same – that it’s not a stand alone. For me, the issue isn’t the lack of matte shades but the lack of a light ivory shade (the sort I generally use either all over my mobile lid or on the inner corners – I need that sort of lightness and brightness to make me look awake and sort of brighten up my whole face). Yesterday, before removing my makeup for the night, I tried using the PMcG palette on its own, just for the heck of it, and I looked sort of muddy and just too dark around the eyes.

Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15 – 20, med brown hair and eyes

Favorite look worn : TF Sweet Peach and Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. Just Peachy and Peach Punch in crease. Luscious on eyelid. Nectar in inner corner. Puree in outer corner. Most used product of the week: MAC Margin. TF Sweet Peach and Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. MAC Power Kohl Pencil in Raven. Armani Black Ecstasy Mascara in Obsidian Black.

Colouring: light to medium with yellow undertones.

I followed a challenge on face book this week: a different look for each colour of the rainbow. I loved the orange one which I created with my Too Faced Sweet Peach palette and Bobbi Brown blush in Clementine.

Still panning my MAV Whenever You Call eyeshadow and have pan in it now. Also pulled out my Lorac Pro mini Matte palette and am working on Linen and Pink Mauve.

I had a sample sachet of Elemis overnight Matrix cream and it was lovely. Will buy this when I run out of Night cream.

I have confusing skin. Light with freckles, uneven skin tone with some redness.

My favorite look has been using Tempted buffed into the crease, with Lethal for definition (both in UD Ultimate Basics) and Cyprus Umber (Modern Renaissance) for definition along the lower lash line and to darken the outer V a bit. I then use Vermeer from MR all over the lid if I’m going for a dramatic look, or any other matte cream or white shadow for a more subdued look.

My favorite discovery this week is the Belif Hungarian Water Essence. My skin showed improvement when I added it into my routine! Plumper skin with less fine lines, I’m guessing due to better hydration and my use of retinol at night.
