I bought this palette because I LOVE smokey eye makeup looks. The red shade inside the palette Unveil is not really a red shade, but a purple. Ash is a blue-toned grey, Moth is a soft pink with iridescent gold hilight and Cameo is a flesh-colored beige. Marble is a heavy white glittery based shimmer, Hail is a neutral metallic silver and Echo is a soft bronze gold. Oh, and Unseen is a deep matte black. Unseen is the shade you can work well with and even created winged liner looks with, as it's rich and pigmented. I found using a concealer helps make Moth appear best and works also as a highlighter. This palette is cool-toned and perfect for those who want a minimalist but loaded goth palette ;)

I picked up the original Venus a while back, and while the colors look absolutely ghastly on my skin tone, the formula is quite good. With a decent eye primer, everything lasts through the day, with some minor fallout with the shimmery shades, but that's a little normal, I think. Mattes are quite pigmented, with the shimmer shades being able to be built up for impact. Blending seemed easy enough, but my skin just made everything kinda muddle together into a very gross shade of orange, but I let a friend try it, and she had no issues with getting colors to stay true on her. In the end, I just gave her the whole pallet, and she loves it.
