As a person who is saving up for Viseart, this little palette is so tempting. But the Petit Pro #1 was so inconsistent in performance across reviewers–most troublingly they performed better for professional reveiwers than reddit commenters and Makeup Alley users–that I hesitate on this one even after you review it, Christine. I wish the company would address the inconsistency of the first Petit Pro. I’d like some assurances that they are doing better quality control. I do not worry about this with the bigger palettes, and still plan on purchasing them. I wonder if you could get your hands on a couple of them this time (at least one ordered from Sephora or another non-professional vendor)? I know that’s a lot to ask, but it might be worth it.

I had no idea there was a problem like that, but I can relate to this experience for sure. I have the Petit Pro 1 and I feel it definitely doesn’t work as well as it could/should, so that put me off to buying more Viseart shadows, even when they get a good review. I guess I don’t see what the hype is about them being so great since my palette leaves a little bit to me desired.

I feel the exact same way about the first petite pro. It was my first and only viseart purchase, and I wasn’t impressed enough to get anything else.

FWIW, I have the first one and several of their Theory palettes and haven’t had any issues or quality problems. I’m definitely not a pro reviewer, just an enthusiast!

The sizes are vastly different between the Petit Pro and the Tryst palette. If you check out Viseart’s instagram, you’ll see the difference. This is truly a mini for travel or throwing in your purse.

I think we all know that feeling all too well! I ended up getting the PP2 for a similar reason – I didn’t necessarily want to add a full size palette, but I like the color scheme on both. PP2 won out for size and I was slightly more drawn the the colors with only one that I’m not sure how I’d use (the orangey one). In terms of straight value for money, you’d probably be better off with Tryst for pan size.

Saw this post and ordered this. I have the first one, and I really enjoy it. I much prefer these little palettes. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I’ve been on a bit of a buying hiatus (no reason, just nothing inspiring) but have also picked up the Clarins Lovely Rose quad this week too. Can you tell I really want spring?

I impulsively purchased this today . I think I bought it because it’s still cold, damp and raw weather back East and I need something that reminds me of spring flowers . Crazy, I know . I’m getting tired of the UD 3 colors and want some real pink in my life .

H’mmm… this might be my first Viseart purchase. I loved Tryst but it was spendy and mega dupe city especially since I finally have Nabla Dreamy on order, so… does anyone know if those little divots next to the bottom of the packaging mean the pans can be easily removed?
Interesting, if so!

The brown is what puts me off buying this palette: why not put a dark aubergine instead? The brown is not dark enough but why, in this beautiful palette??

Oh, I love those pinkish shiny colors along the bottom row! I’ll have to check the ingredients, tho, because of the dreaded carmine. I’d buy this just for those pinks.
