I try not to shop at Nordstrom, but that sec in palette is really calling to me…
I rarely even use highlighters and I want them BOTH!
Just FYI, I got Coucher De Soleil a couple of days ago and the shades are much deeper IRL that the photos suggest. Still nice but when they say mauve shimmer, it’s more like a smoky plum purple than the lilac pink in the top picture. And the rose shimmer is more of a copper colour.

How do you think it would work if it were more as a blush? That’s what I’d be planning to do with it. I’m quite light-skinned but got one of the darker Fenty duos (Moscow/Ginger) and it works so beautifully as a shimmery blush combo.
Yep, it will definitely work as a blush, though the finish is quite metallic. These are quite a dry firm texture compared to regular NARS blushes – they are not powdery at all, I guess due to the wet and dry formula, which I haven’t used before. The mauve is quite unique for me, the gold and rosy copper are fairly universal, though if you have very pink tones, I would be wary…
To be honest, when I opened it, I thought they had sent me the wrong one – it was not at all what I was expecting, based on the promo pics. And we’re typically not able to return makeup products in New Zealand, so I’m stuck with it. C’est la vie!
It’s still pretty and I will use it but I’m a little bit miffed it is LE (Mecca only got about 5 units and it sold out real quick) and there weren’t accurate photos or swatches available. I took a gamble and I wouldn’t say I’m totally bummed but I’m not delighted with it either. There are definitely better highlighters out there for less $$$ and hassle – I have the J Star 24K palette and I think that is fairly similar and better overall as far as colour payoff when applied, texture, ease of use and value.
That Coucher de Soleil seems like a nice, lively shade combo! Definately not the usual gold, gold, and more…gold.
