What brand do you feel you can rely on for blushes?
Clinique (Cheek Pops), Urban Decay (Afterglow Powders), Hourglass (Ambient Lighting lines), MAC (particularly Extra Dimension), Chanel (particularly for neutrals/satins), Surratt (for satin/luminous finishes).
You forgot Marc Jacobs Air Blushes! ? Long lasting, beautiful colors and luminous without being sparkly or emphasizing texture. Holy grail!
Clinique Cheek Pops are my go-to favorites. I think I have every color. LOL. I also have been loving NARS blushes lately; particularly their Spring collection. Other favorites include: Chanel, Urban Decay, and Wet N’ Wild. I would love to see people’s drugstore recommendations.
Clinique Cheek Pops and Mac’s Sheertone blushes are my favourites. I don’t like intensly pigmented blushes, so those two work very well for me 🙂
Mac, Nars, Sleek, Illamasqua.
MAC, Chanel, Tom Ford
If I ever pan my MUG blushes I think I will try a Clinique cheek pop! I honestly think all blush looks the same on me – there are two options – nice flush and clown, haha.
I still really like my MAC blushes and feel I can rely on them. I have so much that I haven’t tried other brands.
I like the matte and satin ones. I don’t like extra shimmery such as the Extra Dimension. I’d rather top with a little highlighter if I want shine.
This is one category where I feel like there are a number of reliable brands: Nars, Hourglass, Benefit, Charlotte Tilbury. I’ve had really good experiences with all of them.
Glossier (Cloud Paints), Colourpop (Super Shock Cheeks), and Bite (Multisticks)!
Tarte, Urban Decay, Marc Jacobs and Hourglass (I only have mood, but have been lusting after more).
Nars blushes and Becca luminous blushes have been my go to for the last couple of years! Love them!
Nars.
The Balm!! I love the tones, the formula and how long they last, I have almost all of them, except for the Instains because they don’t sell those in my country☹
Mac Extra Dimension Blush, Mac Sheertone blush are my favorites.
Tarte Amazonian Clay are my absolute favourite, I want them all!
I often reach for my Laura Geller baked blushes and Balm Instain. I have tons of others but I really like these.
I prefer blushes that are a little harder in the pan so I can build it up on the cheeks. Tarte blushes are my favorite, Nars, clinique, MAC.. anything more sturdy. I can’t put on blushes that are too softly pressed because I end up looking like a clown!
Lancome, for several reasons. First, as much as their eyeshadows have changed over the decades (and not for the best…), the cheek & base products have remained solid. Second, while many brands like to switch out shades more often than I change socks, Lancome has held on to many of their classic shades for decades, so they can easily be replaced. Plus, the shade range is pretty solid, and all fairly flattering. Third, availability is good, so no jumping through hoops to acquire/replace.
NARS & MAC are also pretty solid, although the latter tends to DC several shades in one sweep, with no real warning.
Estee Lauder, Hourglass, Surratt
I really use my MAC and Nars blushes. Nice, smooth and luminous color payoff without a lot of work. I also have a couple of Lorac blushes that I enjoy.
Mac, Estee Lauder, Urban Decay
Hourglass blushes are what I reach for most, but I do own several Clinique Cheek Pops, Urban Decay Rapture 8 hour and Marc Jacobs Air Blush Flesh and Fantasy. Oh, also the Tarte Paaarty from the Sephora birthday gift 2017.
I purchased the NARS Liquid blush in Orgasm, but I’m not thrilled with the formula and it rarely gets any use.
Oops- I forgot the Laura Gellar baked blushes– low on the list of favs.
NARS and Chanel — I like the formulas I have of both, as they’re long lasting, good but not too intense, easily to work with, build and blend. And both brands have nice range of colors that to me offer more choices than others.
NARS, definitely. I do enjoy MAC blushes too, they have several lovely nudes that wear gorgeously but NARS will always be my go-to. Their blush game is perfection.
Quite a few: Tarte (my favorite), theBalm, Sleek, Urban Decay, Too Faced Love Flush, Clinique Cheek Pops, LORAC, NARS, MAC, e.l.f. Studio Blush, and Wet n Wild ColorIcon.
Tarte & MAC!
One of my favorite formulas is Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. Lately I have both the Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palettes in heavy rotation and I also love her 2 Duo Glows Alba and Rayo. I also really enjoy the Too Faced Blushes. I got a holiday Love Flush Blush wardrobe with 6 shades and I use them all my favorite is Baby Love. I really like the Make Up For Ever formula. I purchased their Lustrous Blush Palette during the 2017 holiday rouge sale at Sephora and I really like the quality. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes are great as well I have all 3 Big Blush Books and I use them all. I prefer to buy blush palettes with several shades. Chanel blushes have always been a favorite and Tom Ford cream and powder formula is amazing. I’ve been wanting to try the Marc Jacobs Air Blush and the Becca Blushes for awhile now and I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Clinique, Chanel, Hourglass. Followed by MAC and Laura Geller baked blushes.
Natio – available in Aus – their blush/highlighters are beautiful.
Clarins Prodige blush in soft peach.
MAC and NARS. Milani and La Femme for drugstore.
Out of the ones I’ve actually used and own: MAC, UD Afterglow Blush, Nars Blush for my powder blushes. For cream, I own one Fenty Blush and I absolutely love it, especially if I’m in a hurry and am feeling orangey toned cheeks! For hybrid cream-to-powder, CP Super Shock Cheek blushes. Nyx makes excellent powder blushes, but in-store shade selections never seem to have the ones I want.
Wet n Wild!
All time favorites are from:
Mac (Extra Dimension)
Make Up For Ever (HD Blush)
Clinique (Cheek Pops)
My all time favorite blushes are NARS and Sleek 🙂
MAC has always been one of my favorites! I also always love Benefit Boxed powders!
I don’t really consider myself to have brand loyalty-I’ll wear any shade of blush that doesn’t make me look clownish from any brand. At least in theory-in practice I use L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Spiced Plum* in spring/summer, because it’s affordable, and Bellapierre Autumn Glow mineral blush in fall/winter, because I got it as a freebie a while back. I prefer powder, though, because I can’t usually blend creams or liquids/gels fast enough.
*I have fair skin (C3 in the True Match system) but get a deep natural flush, so in I use Spiced Plum C7-C8 blush, which is 2 blush shades darker than what True Match recommends for my skin tone, Tender Rose.
