Um, does anyone else think that ‘Flicker’ is an unfortunate name when you view the font?? :-O That said, they are beautiful colors and barring a bad review, I will buy.

I saw that too. I think anyone with eyes will see the same. I don’t like this new direction for Make Up For Ever. Things seem cheaper. More trendy, which is not what I look for with them.

I did the same thing. Made me laugh out loud literally!!!! I’m curious how it performs, but a little weary of glitter. I’m trying not to be a prepubescent teenager! I hope MUFE goes back to their previous mindset of professional type cosmetics that’ll withstand a nuclear blast!

That really DOES look like Effer. Truly lol. Course, to me it’s a pet name. Jussi is ‘ Flicker’. And Patticake ‘Flickette.’ It has to be pointed out, though. I don’t always look at the names on the palette!

This one has me cautiously excited. I wasn’t the least bit interested in this when I first saw it and saw the palette. Not a big fan of all glittery shadows and needing to work so hard to make them stay where I want them. Don’t get me wrong, I love that shimmery, glittery look but shadows that look like pure glitter bombs are not my favorite. Then I saw them swatched on IG. Oh my gosh, the shades are really beautiful and from the swatches several appear very unique. Now, I am waiting for Christine to swatch and review. I trust her color descriptions and the quality of her photos to determine whether they truly are unique colors and how their base performs.
Yes, as mentioned, the font and name are really unfortunate!! At least they aren’t intentionally sexual, dirty, drug based, etc.

Ariel you are too funny LOL. I would never have noticed that. That’s awesome. Okay so here’s my dilemma with this palette. I am 47 years old and my whole life have loved glitter and makeup but through my twenties and most of my thirties nothing remotely close to this was available. I have good skin thankfully and where most all of the makeup that I want to even though I’m supposed to be downgrading it at my age. I’m going to buy this one also and this is what I do to make it wearable for an old person. I use the glitter palette and a matte palette together. First I put on my primer and then do my Kris color with some matching Matt shade. Then I do just the lid with the Shimmer Glitter colors. I put the darkest color on the outside and then in the middle of a light glitter Shimmer and another color in the other corner. That way all of the glitter activity is on my bottom lid so it doesn’t look insane. Anyway I thought I would share how I have been able to continue to wear Shimmer and glitter even as I am up in the Years. It actually does look great. It’s when you start putting Shimmer colors or glitter on your top lid that it looks weird.

I swatched it and really liked it! :):) It has more base color than the Fenty and UD glitter palettes do. But, as almost all glitters do, it is easy to disturb the glitter but at least with this palette there is some base colors that are beautiful. I personally do not like glitter topper shadows that are really thin in texture or the shadow transformer shades that are popular now. I work at Sephora and NONE of us noticed the Flicker issue- we would of had a good laugh at that!! Make Up Forever needed to revamp and try some new products and marketing. They need the exposure to survive in Sephora etc. I still LOVE their quality. My favorite shadow formula (even after the revamp) in Sephora for sure.
