What blush color have you always wanted but haven't been able to find?
I can get the effect by layering, but I’d love to see a rosy mauve with a hint of warm, brown in it paired with a luminous finish–pearly and definitely a little shiny but not metallic or glittery.
I’m lucky with blush – any colour I could possibly want is something I’ve been able to purchase. I would love to see MAC bring back Subtle Breeze, a mineralize blush that was LE and that I skipped in favour of its warmer “release sister” because it got an amazing review from Christine. I didn’t realize just how warm it was til I received it (ordered it online – just another example of why I don’t like ordering stuff I can’t test on myself) and by then, it was too late to order the pink one.
I’d love to find a neutral/cool slightly muted light pink with a lilac sheen. Basically Mac Dame but less matte and more lilac-y 😀
ITA! perfect cool toned blsuh description. Wish Ulta would have some of the other Mac Blush colors.
Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Blush in Rosa, perhaps?
I second your blush color Christine! I was imagining that exactly in my head and unsure how to describe it when I read your answer which captured it perfectly.
I want MAC to bring back Tenderling – I’ve tried lots of dupes but nothing is quite the same finish and colour…
Warm rosy mauve or warm plum with some lean to warm red; lighter in tone as I’m so fair; pearl at most as shimmer-to-metallic doesn’t work on me. I have not found this magic, just-right color yet; my drawer is full with “almosts”. Powder but with more creamy than powdery finish for durability (my skin is normal-to-oily).
I have 5 pans of NARS Douceur, so I’m pretty much set for a while, LOL! However, I wouldn’t mind finding a solid dupe, just in case…
I think I have been pretty lucky with blushes. Nothing comes to mind that I don’t already have. A couple of weeks ago I might have wished for something that looks very much like Jouer Blush Bouquet in Adore which is the perfect soft peachy shade but since I have that now, I think I pretty much have the blush spectrum covered. Does that mean I won’t buy anymore blushes? I highly doubt it.
A true dupe to the original MAC Warm Soul. Been looking for a long time but everything pulls too bright pink or brown in comparison.
Sniff.
Temptalia I can’t seem to find that Rosy mauve blush either. I would love to know what blushes do you layer to give that same effect?
A bright, clear fuchsia that has a buildable, satin finish that doesn’t look like clown cheeks! Also, a true red in the same formula, while we’re at it! I love bright shades of blush, but most are far too flat, matte and overly opaque on first swipe.
I would like to see more purple blushes on the market. Usually if I can’t find a particular color blush, I just use an eyeshadow.
I agree! I would love more purple. I love NARS blissful blush and I would like something similar, but without the sparkles. Sheen is ok, but Blissful has teal sparkles.
The teal sparkles are part of what I love about Blissful, but I can see how they wouldn’t be for everyone. I love very purple and lavender blushes such as UD Bittersweet, LORAC Ultraviolet, and MUG Secret Admirer.
Yep, me too! I do like the sparkles as well. I just don’t find very many blushes in that color. I think the closest I’ve had is UD rapture blush (I think that’s the name) but it was more of a blush topper on my deep skin. I love the plummy color, but it went a little ashy on me.
I’m definitely going to check out your purple blush recommendations!
I am really lucky with my blush shade – I just wear peachy tones and they are easy to find. This shade works well with my complexion.
I’ve been wanting to find an orange learning toward yellow rather than pink or red. Fenty makes one but it’s dry going on rather than creamy emoliant.
true cool red
I’m always in search of the perfect TALC FREE rosy pink, leaning more toward rose, with a slight luminosity. I’ve never found any high end brand that matched that. The closest I’ve come – though it’s quite flat, argh – is Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free in Natural. Any suggestions much appreciated!
I use that and love it but I use as an overall face powder love the slight colo and sheen it provides I ended up getting backups. Have you tried the P.F. other blushes in pink, mauve and coral? I have the pink only and is very pretty too goes on looking natural I usually apply first the shimmery strips then the pink on and it blends well a light hand sinc I’m pretty pale, Would like to try the mauve, peach or coral they have I think peach? Oh! You might like Rose champagne from WetnWild or Pearlescent Pink a bit more brighter is. beautiful.
color, since and. that period before ending sentence oops typos/autocorrect. ??♀️Not again!
@Sylvia — thank you for the ideas! Especially the WetnWild which I’ve never even considered before. It’s difficult to find the right color (I’m pale too) and finding talc free is even more of a problem. Talc cause dry patches on me that don’t want to heal. 🙁
You are welcome Bonnie, Summer isnearunh hang in there and will both get some healthy coloring if any? Lol! I can’t tan just turn red. ?
My interest in blush colors is so varied that I’m not likely to ever fixate on getting one particular perfect color. Besides, I habitually layer, so if the one perfect color even existed, I’d end up deliberately altering it once it went on.
Prescriptives’ Universal Red blush. It was discontinued years ago and has not been brought back on their online site. It was the perfect cool red with warm beige mixed in – truly a neutral shade so both warm- and cool-toned skins could enjoy it. I cannot believe I have not been able to find a similar shade in almost 20 years.
UD Rapture, Nars Sin and Besame Raspberry are so, so close, but they still turn slightly warmer and pink on my skin once applied. If they leaned slightly more lilac or even had a hint of blue while not turning entirely purple or chalky, they’d be perfect.
Belatedly adding one I’ve been seeking for literally years: a replacement for the long-discontinued Dior Pro Cheeks “Must Have Brown,” a very light brownish rose that—on my fair NW20 face—looked like instant good health. Some say Lancome’s “Cedar Rose” is similar. Anyone know?
