Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Eyeshadow Palette for Spring 2018
Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Eyeshadow Palette
The Details
This is one hot little palette. Naked Petite Heat is a compact eyeshadow palette featuring six all-new scorched neutrals inspired by our own Naked Heat. With five matte shades for lid, crease and liner, plus one demi-matte highlighting shade, it has everything you need to create looks that range from soft and sultry to flat-out fire.
The ultra-compact packaging was made for travel and fits in your smallest purse. But don’t let its petite exterior fool you—it contains full-size pans of our legendary Eyeshadow and a mirror. Emblazoned with burning roses, this hot commodity will be your go-to palette.
Use each shade alone or pair them up with your favorite shadows to create endless sizzling eye looks. Some of our new favorites are Hot Spell, our latest terra-cotta obsession, and Strike, a rich reddish brown. Feel like totally going up in flames? Try Wild Thing, a burnt orange shade, or Heist, a rich cayenne, for extra spice. Better yet, you can use these matte shades as a base to pair with your 12-shade Naked Heat palette.

I like that it’s matte, but I am completely over warm neutrals.
I really wanted a Naked 3 small palette. Don’t know why they skipped it.
That would be nice!
Agree!
I’m 100% sure these warm tones will dupe the shades featured in the full palette but I’m still going to want this mini, mostly because Heat is my favorite of the Naked Palettes and it’ll be nice to have a smaller version of it. I’m going to be traveling more in 2018 and this would save so much space in my makeup bag.
And the price is nice. 🙂
I agree! It’s the perfect size to leave in my work makeup bag in my desk.
That’s a good point. I use naked basics the most of all my UD palettes bc it’s so easy to throw in my makeup bag, goes with everything, and a no-brainer. This is the same size I think
I want this now! I hope UD releases it ASAP.
More neutrals for spring? Groundbreaking.
I feel like people already have these shades, plus the original palette wasn’t so giant and clunky that it wasn’t possible to travel with in the first place. And 30$? I guess that’s affordable for UD when the rest of their palettes are 50$, but that’s still so overpriced when indie and smaller companies will give you more shadows for less.
These small Naked palettes are my absolute favorite size – small, thin, lightweight, yet contain 6 full size shadows. I also like the layout of light to dark, and the matte shades can complement other palettes that don’t have them in the mix.
Ideally I’d like to have a matte light, medium and deep shade, and then two in different textures. They could even make the palettes a little longer with a few more shades and textures. I wish they would make a series in different color themes, and also separate cool, neutral, and warm only palettes.
I would be much more interested in this if they had chosen a different 6 from Naked Heat. Half the palette is so light I would only use it on my browbone – I never hit pan on those and I have far too many in my collection. I wish it had included some from the darker end of Naked Heat.
I think it would have been nice, and more “universal”/versatile if they included a true red, matte or shimmer, like Relish or Gash. Although I have both in singles (and larger palettes), and use one or both with Naked Heat, I hate having loose singles, and pulling an entire bulky palette isn’t always convenient. Or, instead of another “nude matte”, add a nice deep matte mustard.
I’m not a warm fan and really tired of warms BUT for the price, having a mini palette to compliment the Too Faced Peachy Mattes may just get me to buy it.
Lame! This product is just a sad money grab with no insight. Come on UD! You use to be at the front of the market.
You said it! Talk about beating a concept to death. There’s nothing naked or basic about this palette (the only ones that really are nude and neutral are the original and the slightly cooler-toned very similar palette that followed), but people will buy it as they have all the others. UD has been extremely disappointing lately.
Relish (a bright brick red) would have been an interesting choice for this palette! These look quite similar to the naked heat shades. I’m still intrigued, but I wish it had something a bit more fun to it.
And/or a matte mustard!
Yes!! Shades that would add more options to the Naked Heat palette (a matte companion palette) rather than what appears to be slight variations of already included shades, and shades that most people are drowning in already.
I agree!
I actually might get this. I could dupe most of heat, but 95% of my red shades are actually shimmers and I could use the mattes.
That said, UD *please* follow Naked Heat with a genuine cool toned Naked. Naked Frost? Naked Freeze? Naked and Chill??
I think both the naked smokey and naked 2 are cool toned palettes. Do you not think so?
I agree with you, if it matters.
I had and loved N2, but mostly stuck to the right half. Foxy, chopper, half baked, and snakebite are all fairly warm.
Dunno if I’d be interested in this, but I love the size/packaging assuming it’s the same as the Naked Basics – so compact for 6 shades! So that alone makes it a “maybe” depending on performance.
Pretty well edited mini Basics palette, I think. Good for travel. I’m thinking that I could put 6 of my super warm neutrals in a MUFE XL magnetic empty palette and acheive the same thing.
I didn’t have much interest in the full-sized Naked Heat, but I might get this! I think it’s a good balance of light, medium, and dark shades (unlike the Naked 1 Basics). That said, like other people mentioned, I would’ve loved a Naked 3 Basics palette and I’m more than ready for brands to start releasing cool-toned shadows again.
I actually get some decent mileage out of my Naked Basics palettes, so if I don’t have too many dupes for these shades I may consider picking this up since as much as I’m sick of orange tones they really do great things for my blue eyes. But that’s only if I can’t shop my stash and the review is good.
It never ceases to amaze me when UD keeps coming with “new” products and releases yet another travel version of their naked palette. Yet I look at this and say to myself, “huh.. that’s a good idea for people that WANT a super warm workhorse matte palette.”
Although this isn’t a palette I find suitable for my complexion, can see some picking it up.
I actually quite like the look of this palette but as many, I am so over the all warm toned palettes. I am planning a trip to Europe in either late fall or late spring next year and will need to find a small palette like this to take on the trip but I don’t want an all warm palette. Either give me a decent mix or give me an all cool small palette for the trip, someone, anyone, please??
I love this so much! Warm neutrals are life!
I wish makeup companies would stop making warm vs. cool a trendy thing. I can’t wear cool tones, some people can’t wear warm tones. For something that just isn’t flattering for a large percentage of people, it shouldn’t be a trend.
For those who love and cherish the original Heat palette, this would be a perfect companion. For me, these warm neutrals just don’t suit me.
I think I have dupes for all of these so will be easy pass. Bring me some cool palettes…..someone ….please !
I don’t own the the naked heat but a friend of mine owns it and I got to try it so many times whenever I visit her. I feel that every time I come up with a look it ends up similar to what I have done before even though I use different shadows. With that said, I would pick up the petite heat palette if it reviews good by Christine?
Thanks Christine for your efforts and reviews. I do really appreciate it ???
Looks interesting … they have added all my favorite Matte shades from Naked Heat Palette.
i still drool for the Naked Heat palette but didn’t want to pay that much for the lightest or dark colors since i have them already. Ended up with Nyx Warm Neutrals which is lovely and very, very close to it! ?
I might still get it someday!
I don’t need this as I have the Smashbox Ablaze palette which is small enough for travel.. What I don’t understand is why the colors from the large Heat palette weren’t used in the Petite one. Why not use 6 of the colors from the large palette instead of 6 new near colors?
I also like the Naked 2 Basics palette for travel.
Definitely not interested in this. Far too warm for my complexion. We really need a small cool-toned palette.
In regards to the desire for cool-toned palettes, I definitely agree! While I like to switch it up, I feel like I have to many warm tones now, and I miss cool tones! I would love a cool-toned matte palette that isn’t just shades of brown…especially in the small, portable Naked Basics format! I just ordered individual pans of pink matte shadows to create my own palette of sorts. I LOVE Buon Fresco in the Modern Renaissance palette so much that I ordered a single of it, and some other singles to go along with my MUG Cupcake and the darker pinks in Modern Renaissance.
Anyway…I have a question. Are matte warm eyeshadows easier to formulate than cooler tones? I ask because it seems like so many companies are releasing matte warm shades that perform well, also in the budget range. Cool mattes seem harder to come by, and I get the impression they often don’t perform as well. Just curious if there is anything to this?
This palette is perfection. If you ignore the rusty shade, the rest is just a basic set of neutral light mattes and warm darker mattes in a travel-friendly palette. I do not own ANY of the warm-toned palettes mainly because pinks and purples look really bad on me and reds are not great for wearing in the office (IMO, ofc) but I always buy warm brown mattes singles because on my skin they lose a lot of warmth while the cooler tones look kind of dirty. Now I can get warmer mattes WITHOUT the pink and red lid shades, yay!
Dose of colors palette Sassy Sienna for $32 has a similar color scheme but a bit deeper and the quality is excellent. First time I have ever liked these very warm neutrals.
These types of colours just don’t work for me but I love the Naked2Basics and so I can see how welcome a smaller version of Naked Heat would be to those who love these warm shades.
I use the heck out of my Naked Basics for travel, and I’m thinking this one will be great for the same purpose. The shade range looks very nice. I do agree with those saying Relish would have been a nice addition, maybe instead of that darkest burgundy shade (which will most likely come out brownish on me).
It’s cute but wish they’d included one of the burnt red shimmers from the Naked Heat pallette. Don’t need two pale highlight shades!
The burnt orange shade looks like it would be great for as a transition shade or two warm up an overall look! I don’t love a ton of warm shades because my skin is so pale that it can make my eyes look irritated, but I think having this one shade would be great!
I love naked heat. It’s my #1 workhorse palette. However…. these shades look washed out comparatively. I would have to see it in person. Honestly… I think I’ll just travel with my just peachy matte palette…
