Happy Wednesday! Here's this week's survey, which you can copy and paste and share as a comment.
- Your skin tone/coloring:
- Most refreshing skincare product?
- Lip color you feel most confident in?
- Your favorite feature to emphasize?
Your skin tone/coloring: light to medium with yellow undertones, dark brown eyes, black hair
Most refreshing skincare product? Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream
Lip color you feel most confident in? MAC Viva Glam VI or Revlon Pink Truffle
Your favorite feature to emphasize? I have no idea. I’ve never given it much thought. I suppose I feel most brought to life after bronzer!
Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain
Most refreshing skincare product? Milk cooling water stick. The cooling feeling effect only lasts for a minute, but long-term I can tell it helps calm and rehydrate my skin after I’ve been in the sun better than using just moisturizer.
Lip color you feel most confident in? Anything really dark, super bold, or non-traditional. I’ve been wearing blue a lot lately.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Lips.
Your skin tone/coloring –
Light-Medium with Yellow undertones (Mac C2 F&B/NC25).
Most refreshing skincare product?
Hylamide serum, which my skin seems to love.
Lip color you feel most confident in?
Something either transparent nude with slightly shimmer, or a clear, bright shade without pastel tones, i.e. UD Sheer Liar, UD Firebird, MAC Lady Danger.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? – Eyes.
Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones, MAC NW 5-10
Most refreshing skin care product: I am not sure that I use any products that I would call refreshing. I do put face mists into the refrigerator during the summer months to help cool off my skin but none that are inherently “refreshing”.
Lip color I feel most confidant in is undoubtedly a deep berry or blue undertoned red. You know, power shades, HAHA.
Favorite feature to enhance: When I was younger and had much less hooded eyes, my favorite part of makeup was the eye shadow. I had seriously stunning eyes when I was younger, if I do say so myself, LOL. I am not the type of person who is stopped on the street to be told I have beautiful **** fill in the blank. However, back in the day, people would stop me to tell me I had gorgeous eyes and co-workers were always asking me about what I was using to do my eye shadow. Since my eyes have become saggy, baggy and crepey, I am not sure that I want to “enhance” them. But, it is the part of makeup that I enjoy the most so I am going to go ahead and go with eyes!!
I remember those bright-eyed days. Those were also the days before my eyes dried out and I could wear blue contact lenses. I tell myself that I had my turn and now the young ones have their time. Like you, I continue to treat my eyes as my best feature.
Yes, you are correct Leslie, it is the young women’s turn now. I don’t begrudge them their moment in the sun!! At my age it is enough that I can play with my makeup and not really follow any rules but just enjoy the process.
I hear you loud and clear on the eyes, I seem to be toning down the eye looks more and more as I age so as not to cast a limelight on skin issues.
Fair to light with very strong yellow undertone, blue eyes, dark blonde hair
Refreshing skincare: La Roche-Posay, Substiane, De-puffing replenshing care eye cream also Becca First Light Priming Filter Instant Complexion Refresh
Lip color: Brown nude or dark reddish brown if I fancy a statement lip
Favorite feature to emphasize: lips and brows
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair with neutral undertones and freckles.
Most refreshing skincare product? Dr. Bronners Peppermint Castile soap and lotion. Soo nice after exercising during the summer.
Lip color you feel most confident in? Browny, mauvey nudes.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My eyes! They’re already big and kind of spaced far apart and I just like to make them look even more so.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Most refreshing skincare product? probably Clarins toning lotion with iris or La Roche Posay (or Avene or Evian) mineral water spray
Lip color you feel most confident in? a shade like MAC Craving – a pink-berry sort of shade, or UD Gash (a great red)
Your favorite feature to emphasize? I was going to say it’s a toss up between lips and eyes, but considering my age and the numbers of compliments I receive on my skin, my answer probably should be “skin”, though there isn’t much I do to “emphasize” it.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow tone,s dark hair and eyes.
Most refreshing skincare product? Korres Wild Rose serum – love it to bits!
Lip color you feel most confident in? Rosy mauves, always.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Lips! I wear thick black glasses so I need a defined lip to not look washed out.
Lt to med, coolish. KGD 013. Refreshing: also refrigerate. Cosrx Centella water if feeling oily; Cosrx Saccharomyces if needing hydration. I feel rather Paula-ish about ‘refreshing,’ as many times the factor comes from evaporating alcohol or mint/menthol derivatives in the product, neither of which is skin-friendly. Lip color? Well, not as if I didn’t beat the dead horse about all the CP Gallop dupes. Brown red has been my default for years now. No particular feature to emphasize: I could be critical of all of them!
Your skin tone/coloring: deep/dark with yellow undertones
Most refreshing skincare product? Mario Badescu Glycolic toner
Lip color you feel most confident in?
I love bright pinks, purples and reds
Your favorite feature to emphasize?
Depends on the day. Sometimes eyes, other days lips. Sometimes I just really love to carve out my cheekbones, it just depends on how I am feeling.
Your skin tone/coloring: NW45-47
Most refreshing skincare product? Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturizer , this is so light !
Lip color you feel most confident in? A gloss nude or cherry blossom from coloured raine

Me, too! Clinique Moisture Surge feels so good! It may not do much, but it is definitely refreshing.
Yes tbh it really helps me with my dehydrated skin !!!
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, warm, ~NC10; blue eyes; light brown hair w/copper highlights
Most refreshing skincare product? In winter when my skin is dry, SK-II Cellumination Mask-In Lotion
Lip color you feel most confident in? NARS Risky Business gloss. I’m looking for a bullet lipstick in same color.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My eyes are my best feature and I enjoy techniques and tools that make the most out of them.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair cool (currently using NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc), med brown hair, green-gray eyes
Most refreshing skincare product? My Klairs vitamin C serum! I keep it in the fridge so it has a neat “cool-burn” sensation when I put it on at night
Lip color you feel most confident in? RED 😀
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Eyes! Lots of eyeliner
Your skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37, Lancôme Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, Fenty ProFilt’r 260 or 290, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Most refreshing skincare product? FAB Coconut Primer Moisturizer (or at least that’s what I think it’s called?) Very cooling, refreshing and makes my skin look fresh!
Lip color you feel most confident in? MLBB type shades like, KVD Cathedral, MAC Mehr, UD Liar. Or, on the totally flip side of the coin; deep reds. Especially if they veer brownish, ie; PMG Strangé, or a perfect dark blue-red works, too.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Usually my eyes! They’re hooded, double eyelid, and a color that is a bit unexpected with the rest of my coloring. Sometimes, I’ll emphasize my somewhat full lips and high as heck cheekbones instead.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Most refreshing skincare product? Oils – Argon Oil and/or Chia Seed Oil. My skin really responds well to these oils.
Lip color you feel most confident in? Cinnamon shades – Milani’s Cinnamon Spice, Candied Toffee, Bronze Beauty; Elizabeth Arden’s Cocoa Bronze, Clarins Joli Rouge Spicy Cinnamon.
Russet/ Berry Shades: EA Goldmine and Red shades – Clarins Red Terra.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My complexion is pretty good for my age.
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 20, med brown hair and eyes
Most refreshing skincare:Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Toner
Lip Color you feel most confident in: MAC Velvet Teddy or Viva Glam V. Limecrime Bleached, Colourpop Jiffy or KVD Lolita. Confidence allows you to just wear what you like. I like nudes and mauve; they are just me!
Favorite feature to emphasize : My eyes or cheekbones:)
I’m very fair but with warm to neutral undertones (tbh kinda washed out colour but I’ve got chronic illnesses)
I love neutrogenas hydro boost water gel moisturiser! So cool and refreshing, especially in summer, and never feels sticky or greasy.
I love wearing light lavender lip colours, both bright like mufe’s c503 or muted like nyx creamy round lipstick in power.
I like to emphasise my eyes
I’m planning to pick up that Neutrogena Hydro Boost. And I love light lavendar lips too, but for most confident I had to go to a shade I can put on and just know it looks great, so I went with pale pink.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most refreshing skincare product? Facial masks; peppermint foot lotions
Lip color you feel most confident in? MAC La Vie En Rouge
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Eyes. I like the colors in my eyes and how they change. I like their almond shape. My lashes aren’t as full as they used to be, but they’re still pretty long, and I have kick-butt lower lashes still.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-Medium with yellow undertone (MAC NC20-25)
Most refreshing skincare product? A good hydrating but light face toner; I love all Paula Choice toners, but now I am using the RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner.
Lip color you feel most confident in? It’s not even a color… it’s a lipstick: MAC Diva (a warm burgundy, as this website described it). If it’s a lipstick shade that represents me and makes me always feel better, it’s that one.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? After mentioning that lip color, it might seem odd… but I like to emphasizes my eyes. I think I look odd without emphasizing my eyes… even if I don’t do it with eyeshadow, I really need to line my eyes somehow (pencil, liner).
Your skin tone/coloring: NC15 w/some redness
Most refreshing skincare product? PTR cucumber gel mask
Lip color you feel most confident in? Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo in Liberator
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My skin as I always get complimented on it.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, medium brown hair, brown eyes
Most refreshing skincare product? Son & Park Beauty Water
Lip color you feel most confident in? Reds
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Eyes
Your skin tone/coloring: fair with yellow undertones and surface redness.
Most refreshing skincare product? Hatomugi skin conditioner
Lip color you feel most confident in? Besame Blood Red lipstick or Tatcha Kyoto Red
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Eyes! They’re green with gold freckles near the pupils and grey outer irises.
Fair/neutral coloring.
Oils refresh my skin since I’m on the dry side: argan, rosehip, etc.
First choice for lips is MLBB such as Velvet Teddy, second choice corals, then red – depending on time of day and occasion.
My eye lid skin is a wreck since I turned 60 (3 years ago) – I don’t want to call too much attention with eye looks. My lips aren’t bad but I do have those annoying smokers line on the upper lid, I don’t want to call attention to them in strong light. These days I am doing a fairly good job of taking care of my skin, I get lots of compliments on it, especially for my age, so I aim for a fresh faced look most of the time.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with some redness the kind who won’t tan but just turn red like a lobster and get freckles, spots whatever but no chance of a dreamy tan. Don’t even go into wrinkling! Lol! I have tons of volume wavy dark brown hair.
Most refreshing skincare product? I have dry/combo but pretty much clear skin and rather sensitive. I’m just using right now Cera Vé everything cleanser, moisturizers. Also Loreal Revitalift which has glycolic and it is doing well no flakiness, redness, peeling and i notice a brighter skin tone. Not sure about refreshing could i mention the eye mask i have in the fridge for when migraine strikes?
Lip color you feel most confident in? Reds, Berries, Mauves. Love lipsticks! I think pinks don’t really go well with me but i do wear them occasionally.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? I have hazel eyes and love to bring them out with these rustic madness colors going on love them! Also have high cheeks and love blush. But i can tell the aging process does bring them down a bit huh! Even eyes are getting more hooded than ever. Oh, well just enjoy life and i don’t plan to go under the knife anytime soon! Having two c-sections was enough. Lol!
Your skin tone/coloring: light, neutral
Most refreshing skincare product? Holy Snails Snowbang for short term immediate refreshment. Maybe something like Paula’s Choice Moisturizing mask for a slower but more substantial reset on dry patchy, angry skin? Niacinamide like in Shark Sauce or The Ordinary niacinamide serum is great too. Calming. 🙂
Lip color you feel most confident in? I feel confident in most lip colors, but dark pinks like Dior Classic Matte, berry tones, and cool reds get me the most compliments and are my staples. Hard not to feel confident in MAC Heroine too, come to think of it.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? Lips. I’ve always loved lipstick more than any other product, and I think that lipstick helps balance out my features best.
Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain with pink undertones, Brown hair, blue eyes
Most refreshing skincare product? Tatcha the water cream. It is marketed for Oily skin tones but I’m dry AF and my skin feels dehydrated as well and this locks my skin with moisture.
Lip color you feel most confident in? Any bright or deep red, whether it is of orange or blue undertone.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My lips, since I like to play with fun lip colours, although I have been playing with fun and vibrant coloured eyeshadows lately.
Your skin tone/coloring: Neutral/Fair
Most refreshing skincare product? Tea tree masks! my skin feels so clean and fresh.
Lip color you feel most confident in? I usually feel powerful and confident in a bold lip, usually a fun color like blue or black.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? hm, this is hard. I don’t really do my makeup in a way that emphasizes anything in particular. It depends on the look. Sometimes I like an incredibly bold eye to make my blue eyes pop, and sometimes I like to emphasize my lips, but this is kind of rare, since I feel they are so small.
Most refreshing skin care product: Strivectin Water Gel.
Lip color that makes me feel most confident: pale pink (Milani Pink Frost is a go-to, but by no means the only)
Favorite feature to emphasize – all of them I guess but lips and brows the most.
And my skin tone/coloring is medium/tan warm, dark blond hair, dark green eyes.
Your skin tone/coloring: V Fair/Cool
Most refreshing skincare product? SK-II Essence
Lip color you feel most confident in? Mauvey-pink; my favorite shade is Armani Rouge D’Armani 501 without a doubt. The new Tom Ford Sugar Glider is right up there too!
Your favorite feature to emphasize? I would actually say my skin – fair and clear (apart from the rare interloper), but I like to focus on my eyes and bring out the green tones in my hazel eyes.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light with neutral undertones
Most refreshing skincare product? Vichy Thermal Water
Lip color you feel most confident in? Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Pepper and Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My eyelashes! I’m so blessed to have natural long and curled lashes!
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool-toned
Most refreshing skincare product? I am loving the Mario Badescu Lavender Spray!
Lip color you feel most confident in? I don’t feel very comfortable in most lip shades, so I usually choose a nude pink.
Your favorite feature to emphasize? My eyes!
