Holiday Gift Guide: Brazil Edition
Here in Brazil, our Christmas is spent among beaches, swimming, and most importantly, among the people we love. Exchanging gifts is a sign of affection with everyone. I’m happy to share with you some of the most interesting and beautiful holiday kits from my favorite Brazilian brands this season.
The Contém 1 grama released several kits with sets ranging from small travel bags to makeup palettes with shadows, blushes, applicators. Christmas, for me, is a solemn moment, so I suggest the Kit Glam (R$ 88,00), which is has appropriate colors for night use and, beyond the shadows, also includes a great black mascara. The value of the kit is good–it’s better to buy the set than the products separately.
To stay smelling nice, O Boticário launched kits for men, women, children and teens, with one prettier than the last! For the most value, I really enjoyed the Portinari Kit (R$148,00) for men, which comes with deo cologne, soap and nail care instruments. The Lily Essence Kit (R$ 199,00) contains my favorite Brazilian eau de parfum for women. For that person we want to gift, but we cannot spend too much, there are some beautiful bath sets that are good, with several fragrances that start at R$ 13,90.
Finally, a brand in southern Brazil, which is a network of pharmacies, the Panvel. It has fragrant and moisturizing creams, makeup, and soft brushes all with very good prices! It is impossible to resist. Whenever I go to Panvel, I can’t get out of there without something. It has a travel brush kit (R$ 19,90) generously sized, as well as a pretty-in-pink (and super soft) kabuki for only R$ 19,00.
Great! o/
Congrats Damaris!

Awesome! Someone from Brazil sent your suggestion!
For gift, I love the Natura’s kit (http://www2.natura.net/NaturaMundi/src/index.asp).
My favorite products are of Ekos colection. They are manufactured with raw materials native to Brazil and are 100% ecological.
Love Natura! Everytime I go to US I give some kits to my boyfriend’s family in Florida, they love it as well! Specially my “mother-in-law” LOL!
Nice, Carol!
Yes!! Natura has to be my favourite make up and cosmetic brand from Brazil!
Hi Paula
good to see you! I love Natura too. Great choices you made…In brief post about it.
xoxo
Hi, I’ve been wanting to try brazilian makeup (contem 1 g or felicitaa) for a long time now but I can’t seem to find a website that will ship the makeup to the USA….Not even the sellers on Mercado Livre will sell it to me.
Can you help me find where I can buy? Thanks
them really dont ship to another country Morena! But let me tell you something, contem1gr is very expensive for such a simple quality. Felicitta is very very cheap and poor quality! If you want to try brazilian products, you should try natura and panvel body stuff (their makeup remover is a very cheap, lancome bi makeup remover!!) yes cosmetics make up! i dont know if them ship internacional but if you find someone who does it, it wont be products that you`ll regret!
Yes, Jessica. The Panvel’s makeup remover is the great option…I use this product, too.
xoxo
Hi, Morena
I don’t know if Contem 1 g it sells to other countries, but I know some Brazilian brands already have stores overseas, and Natura as Boticário. Natura: http://www2.natura.net/NaturaMundi/src/index.asp
and Boticário: http://www.boticario.com.br
This was the first post with a few words…and I come back with another informations about your question.
Thank you!
hugs from Brazil
Hi Morena!
The problem is that shipping to USA is too much expensive for us! So the sellers prefer to not sell for foreign countries because of that…
Love Boticario!
Thank you, Van.

Thank you, Mille!
I loved this post! Congratulations Dâmaris! It is amazing!
Gostaria de sugerir uma linha de batons ótima e super barata: Abelha Rainha. Tem cores lindas, textura suave e excelente duração!
Beijokas! E muito sucesso nessa empreitada!
Thank you, Karolina. I don´t know Abelha rainha, but I will go find this products…I´m curious. Beijokas.
I don’t think that there’s any brand that can better represent brazilian cosmetics than “Natura”. But another brand that is very popular is “Granado”, which has so many creams, scents and usefull products, that was a surprise for me to realize that it was left out of this list.
About “Contém 1g” and “O Boticário”, I think that those brands are loosing their focuses and identity. They’re so expensive, that actually brazilians are prefering to “give our brazilian way” to buy products from abroad, instead of buying national products. As an exemple, that “Kit Glam” pointed out by Dâmaris, transformed into U$ would costs about U$ 45, while you can buy a better, complete and uncomparable UD Book of Shadows IV Palette by U$ 64: just U$9 more expensive.
“Natura” and “Granado” have great products with honest prices and performance. So sorry, Dâmaris, but I must desagree with you. Compaired to international kits and sets, the brazilian ones usually aren’t great deals!
Hello Camila
