Ozotic #507 Nail Lacquer ($17.50 oz. for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “multi-chrome nail polish that shifts from golden yellow to khaki green to blue flash with a metallic shimmer.” It’s predominantly a murky olive green-gold that brightens and darkens depending on the angle/lighting. The blue comes out, for me, around the edges of the nail when held at a certain angle. It’s a very cool effect and definitely something that’s hard to capture in a single photo! It’s definitely very similar to Chanel Peridot. They both look like oil spills in the bottle! Â #507Â has more blue pulled out than Chanel, which tends to be more gold-green and green; perhaps less multi-chrome.
#507 was opaque in two coats, and even though it’s a metallic, the threads apply evenly and straight without much effort. The lacquer flowed easily across the nail without pooling, streaking, or bubbling. I wore #507 for a week with minimal tip wear; the formula wears well without chipping and probably could have lasted for ten days. It had a good consistency that wasn’t too thick or thin, which allowed for better application.

It wears better and has a stronger duochrome (or multi-chrome). The packaging is better as well.
Ozotic makes some darn nice polishes
Oh wow, this color is amazing! I love that the complexity of the color actually translates on the nail, I feel like a lot of the time these shades look great in the bottle but flat on the nail.
When I first saw this it reminded me of Butter London Wallis. But not a dupe. I love duochromes.

I usually don’t go gaga over nail colors, but I reallllly need to get this! Most of my (small) collection is China Glaze and drug store brands, but this is just gorgeous – and I LOVE GREEN!

I have both Chanel Peridot and Ozotic 507, love them both. The Chanel is my favourite as it throws a bit more bronzey-gold, but the Ozotic definitely wears better, I have very soft nails so my polish tends to chip and peel at the tips quickly. I live in Australia so I am lucky enough to have heaps of ozotics 🙂

Ooh, nice! A tip for those of you who have Chanel Peridot – applying it over a layer of medium gray really brings out the multi-chrome effect more. (A tip I read from another Temptalia reader, actually!)
