Clarins Sunset Rouge Prodige Lipstick
Clarins Sunset Rouge Prodige Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a brightened tangerine orange with peach and white micro-shimmer and a glossy shine. On my lips, it looks a bit coral-orange. The color coverage is semi-opaque; it delivers a healthy amount of color, but there’s enough translucency that my natural lip color shows through, too. While the texture was smooth overall, it did not apply as evenly as I’d like. It reminded me of Guerlain Orange Euphorique, which is a little brighter and more opaque. Chanel Sari Dore is more opaque and darker. MAC Made to Order is similar but doesn’t have as much gold shimmer.
Rouge Prodige is a creamy lipstick that glides on easily and delivers an ultra glossy shine. Despite its creaminess, it has a lightweight feel, and it’s comfortable to wear for the three to four hours that it wears for. It’s supposed to be long-lasting, but unless it’s a really rich red, it’s average when it comes to wear (most lipsticks wear three to four hours on me). It has a berry-like scent but no taste; the scent is subtle and doesn’t read synthetic.

I love lipstick reviews most. Of all temptalia-stuff.
Pretty eyeshadow too, Christine!
Thanks, Marieke!
I have this one, it’s a lovely shade. It doesn’t look as orange on my pigmented lips thou, it looks more of a orange-red, more towards red. It’s kind of the shade I would use during spring.
I could definitely see it leaning more orange-red if you already have red lips!
It’s gorgeous on you. Definitely more of a summer color.
Thank you, Debra!
It’s super pretty on you! Because it’s sheer, it doesn’t look too orange. It looks more wearable than Orange Euphorique so I might have to put this on my list! Thanks!
Thanks! I think it’s a workable orange, too!
So pretty! Christine What foundation, Blush and eyeshadows r u wearing?
Giorgio Armani #14 Eyes to Kill Intense + Estee Lauder Cyber Green, Burberry Trench to highlight, Guerlain Lingerie de Peau, Benefit Hervana
How does the formula compare to Dior Addict?
It’s been a really long time since I’ve used Dior Addict!
That is WILDLY pretty on you!
Thank you, Dusty!
Finally, there’s something similar to Orange Euphorique! I can actually afford this beautiful lipstick. However, I’d still buy Euphorique if I could do so; you know how some items just call to you, no matter how impractical they may be? Euphorique does that to me.
I’ve been there plenty of times!!
If it’s not too much trouble, what other products did you use in this look? Love the eyes. The lippie is beautiful on you, but I see what you mean about it not applying as uniformly as desired.

I expected it too be so much brighter when I saw it in the tube
Try MAC Morange instead!
it’s so pretty!!!! this looks very good with your skin tone too!!
and i love how cheap it is … i’d spend up to $50 for it to be honest
Haha! There you go 🙂
Looks so pretty on you, Christine but it’s a colour I could never wear. However, I really like the Rouge Prodige formulation and the shape and size of the product. I’ve got 2 lipsticks from the Rouge Prodige range and plan to get a few more.
What are the two you have, Mariella?
ooh, this is really pretty, and I love the Rouge Prodige formula — will have to pick this up for sure!
Favorite shades? 🙂
you are looking Stunning with this and I bet I can stare at your picture for hrsssss , seriously ,
lovedddd the over all look 😀 😀
Thank you, Rashmi!
looks bad
Sorry you don’t like it!
This is SUCH a pretty colour on you! I mean you are always gorgeous, but this is just so pretty and flattering on you! LOVE IT!
Thanks, Shayna!
This is beautiful! I bought this because of your review. Thank you. 🙂
I’m not sure how I would rock orange lipstick. I guess since this one’s more opaque, it’d be easier. I don’t like how the lipstick seems to kind of clump into some creases of your lips though, hmmm :T
