Bite Beauty Blush Pearl Prismatic Multistick Review, Photos, Swatches
Blush Pearl
Bite Beauty Blush Pearl Prismatic Multistick ($24.00 for 0.16 oz.) had a translucent base with blue-to-silver shifting pearl and slightly larger, more sparkle-sized particles. The texture was fairly smooth despite how shimmery the finish was, and it definitely did not feel gritty or rough applied to the eyes, lips, or cheeks. The product was blendable along the edges. I did not find the coverage to be that buildable; it was primarily semi-sheer and could be sheered out slightly but I couldn’t build up the coverage beyond, at best, medium. It was transformative, though, and I could see the sheerness working well for this type of finish and shifting color.
It had a subtle effect on the cheeks (not as luminous as I expected, though) with a very strong sparkle and sheen on the lips. On the eyes, it worked well as a one-and-done shade for a sparkling, brightening effect but there was no wear time for me (creased within a half hour). It lasted for eight and a half hours on my cheeks with slight migration over time and three hours on my lips with some product settling into my lip lines over time.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.17 oz. - $141.18 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "weightless, layerable color" that can be applied to "eyes, cheeks, and lips" with a "breathable, blendable, and buildable" formula. These are a shimmering take on the brand's previous Multisticks. I found the general feel and performance to be in line with the original formula with the shimmery shades seeming to have a bit more slip and less "powderiness" to them. They base seemed to be more translucent and never buildable to full coverage, and the coverage was semi-sheer to semi-opaque, depending on the shade.
I didn't have good luck with the Multisticks on eyes (they creased incredibly quickly on me--in minutes, typically!), and I'm sad to report that the Prismatic finish did not go much better for me. I had a lot of trouble applying them evenly onto the lid except when patting them onto the lid and sheering out with my fingertip for a one-and-done eyeshadow look, but I could not build them up or get them to apply evenly on the lid. The only shade that worked decently on the lid (just in terms of application) was Peacock Pearl as it had finer pearl and less larger sparkle. They settled into my creases quickly and did not have any staying power on my eyelids, even over primer or dusted with translucent powder (the wear was better but still dismal).
The formula has performed the best as a cheek color for me, as the were very much as described–blendable and buildable. I liked to use a synthetic blush brush to swirl on the color and then used my fingertips to blend out the edges. The product doesn't dry down fully, so there was a dewy glow in addition to the subtle pearl/sparkle on the skin. I think that the shine and luminosity are more apparent in person than in photos for this particular product. They applied decently enough as a lip color, but there were issues with the product settling into my lip lines with some shades. They were more comfortable and felt a little more balm-like on the lips than the original Multisticks, which had a thicker, drier, and more powdery feel on my lips. The wear time was between three and five hours.

I really like it on the lips!
It is pretty there!
I neither love nor hate it. It looks quite lovely applied to cheeks and lips, I have to say! But I do already own these types of transformative, shifting shades in Nyx, Huda and KVD. Of which, most are powder, with one lipgloss.
Glad you have this territory covered, Nancy!
I can’t believe they extended this product line. I love Bite, and the Multistick is the only product of theirs I’ve ever returned. It’s so loaded with silica that it’s difficult to apply smoothly to lips, even over balm. As a blush, it’s patchy and takes off makeup underneath. Maybe other shades are better, but I had Biscotti and it was awful. It’s a shame, because the shades are beautiful.
They seem to have good reviews on Sephora, so I’d guess that the demand is there if they continue to expand the line!
Hmm… I *want* to love these (especially Peacock), but they sound problematic. I think perhaps messing about with them in store before committing to a blind purchase is a good idea. Thanks for the reviews!
Have you tried the original Multistick formula? I’d think about how (or where) you’d use most and go from there 🙂
Yep! I have two of the pinky ones and use them for blush – which I *love* them for, but I’m not a pink eyeshadow person so I haven’t tested their wear time on the lids (they’re not a flattering color on my lips and also are a little too dry). I like the idea of having the multi-stick formula for a highlighter and glossy eyeshadow. Just…not sure about the current shades available. I’m suuuuper pale and not in to pink highlights.
Oy these are breaking my heart.
Aww!
