The Details
Lucia Pica paints a portrait of her hometown, Naples, through a palette of smoldering and luminous shades of green, yellow, gold, red and black for an explosive look.
Les 9 Ombres Multi-Effects Eyeshadow Palette, $70.00 (Limited Edition)
This limited-edition palette created by Lucia Pica is inspired by the frescoes of Pompeii and features nine longwearing shades in a combination of bold colours and neutral tones, with matte to satin powder finishes. This soft-texture formula allows for effortless application and seamless blending for an endless variety of looks. The palette includes matte-finish shades in peachy-pink, mink brown, and faded grey-green, along with satin-finish shades in turquoise blue-green, bright green, luminous peachy-beige, gold, dark rusty red-brown, and bronze grey-blue. Includes two dual-ended sponge applicators.
Lip Balm & Powder Duo, $37.00 (Limited Edition)
This limited-edition duo features a colourful matte powder that can be worn alone or mixed with the moisturizing balm for a blurred, artistic effect on both cheeks and lips, with as much or as little intensity as desired. I am always game for the stylos which I do not see pictured here. They typically have some unique shades even though the formula can sometimes be challenging. I am prognosticating the eyeshadow palette will suck! Evil laughter… ?
The quality of their eyeshadow palettes is so low, I don’t even look at these anymore. The colors may look pretty, but they rarely apply well.
I agree. I was excited when I saw the email but then scrolled down and saw it was ‘that other formula’ and didn’t even give it a second glance. I love the quads/tisse formula, though.
I’m not a Chanel fan in general but I love Naples and Pompeii, so this collection is attractive to me!
With 2018 being a very lean, low-buy year for moi, I’m not seeing anything that’s blowing my resolve away here. We know by now just how awful Chanel’s larger palettes tend to be…if this had been a quad, I’d possibly been in trouble!
Looking forward to the launch of this collection. Fingers crossed the eyeshadow palette is pigmented. Early swatches for the collection look promising.
I wish the season creep held off until January, though.
I’m also not wowed by this collection. I like Chanel’s e/s quads but their other palettes in past have been let-downs (and pricey ones at that!) This palette seems almost like a mix of Gritty+Glow and Smashbox Smoky so there’s nothing there that I’m even hoping will be awesome. Everything else is just sort of “meh”.
Yes, I want a blue lip gloss.
Love that eyeshadow palette – beautiful shades. I hope it is good!
Awful colour combinations. I stopped buying Chanel products since Lucia Pica became a colour designer.
I used to love Chanel for classic look and superior quality. Now every collection is so bright and so slutty with very inferior quality.
I trust Lucia Pica and I hope for the good quality of the collection, although the eye palette reminds me of E.L x V.B Eye Palette from 2016.
I’m praying the reviews are good on this eyeshadow palette because I love it! In fact, the entire collection looks amazing 🙂 I can’t help but be really excited for spring right now lol…
The blush looks like a really pretty color! I’ll be interested to see swatches of it!
