What was the last skincare product you finished?
belif Aqua Bomb, not my favorite, wouldn’t use it again — not hydrating enough for my skin type.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Clarins Super Restorative Eye Cream (I always have one in reserve) and Clinique Super Defense moisturizer (I always pick up one when I’m nearly finished the jar I’m working on since this contains SPF and will expire while waiting in my “backups” drawer if I repurchase too early; I always check the expiry date on the new box when I purchase it to make sure I can/will finish it before it expires)
Paula’s Choice Resist Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner. I did repurchase. This has turned out to be a good basic, year-round toner for my combination skin.
La Roche Posay Effeclar H. I use it as my night cream, it’s designed to rehydrate oily or acne skin after drying treatment (with niacinamide) and I love it.
Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Soap. My face likes this wash better than anything else I’ve ever tried, either high end or drugstore, so I stick with it.
Macy’s is having a beauty and fragrance sale this Sunday ($10 off your $50 purchase), so I’m going to take advantage of this deal and pick up a new bottle plus a couple things that are running low. Good timing for this sale!
Have you tried the belif Moisturizing Bomb? It’s much thicker and more suited for dry/dehydrated skin.
Laura Mercier Repair Eye Creme – I was gifted this, it’s alright – I think it would work better on someone with deeper fine lines than me.
All it really did was keep my undereye area hydrated, but I don’t feel it did anything more than what a heavy moisturizer or another eye cream for less would do.
Timeless Skincare 20% vitamin c + e + ferulic. And just repurchased for the. . . 4th time, maybe?
Belif’s moisturizing bomb is one of my favs…though I accidentally picked an aqua bomb sample one time and had to use it when I was traveling…yeah, definitely not that moisturizing. At least for my dry skin. I think the last thing I finished was my Drunk Elephant C-serum…it’s been a struggle waiting for the sale to restock.
I’m in the same boat! I’ve almost caved and bought full price a couple of times now, but I’m holding out.
I was using Vitamin C sample products…it really only gave me more appreciation for Drunk Elephant! xD But the time is here, we made it!
So I WANTED to love the Drunk Elephant C-Firma, but after about a week of using it I developed these tiny, rough, flesh-colored bumps all over my face! They were almost invisible and more noticeable to touch. They went away 2-3 days after I stopped the C-Firma. I am not typically sensitive or prone to reactions, but this was the only new thing I had used in weeks and I didn’t have another explanation. The only “BUT” is I had an IPL facial about 2 weeks before starting the C-Firma and I think it’s possible that led to the reaction. I’m going to try the C-Firma again in a few weeks – crossing my fingers!
I just finished a jar of Clinique’s Moisture Surge. Because I have dry skin on my cheeks and forehead I use it as a primer under almost all of my BB/CC creams and foundations. I am addicted to MS. Also I just finished my Neutrogena Naturals Cleanser and Makeup Remover last week. My staple cleanser to remove face makeup and the usual microscopic dirt particles…LOL!
I always finish and repurchase boots7 perfect and protect serum and nuxe prodigieuse yeux eye cream. Excellent products moderately priced, $39. And $25 respectively. Have used Sisley and other uber expensive products and these are much better for my skincare needs
I have normal to dry skin, and didn’t love Aqua Bomb, either. I absolutely adore Moisture Bomb, though. I’ve repurchased it three times. If you can pick up a sample, it’s worth a try!
Eve Lom Cleanser. Tried it because it was a cult product. but it didn´t convince me.
Today I’ve finished CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Intense Moisturizer, i bought a new one. It’s perfect for my dehydrated combo skin.
This is one of the few things I repurchase again and again and again!
My HG eye gel, Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic and Retinol eye gel. I have been scraping the bottom of the bottle and even added a couple of drops of water to make it last until the sale date. I went without it for a while and won’t be without it again. Also finished my Sunday Riley Good Genes which I have also repurchased many times but am thinking about trying some products from The Ordinary.
Korres greek yoghurt advanced nourishing sleeping facial. I liked it a lot but I’m still trying a few other things in the search for an HG night cream.
The ordinary 30% aha and 2% bha peel! I REALLY love it!!!!! I can’t wait to pick up another one!
I just finished a Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser… Picked up the acne clearing one, but I prefer deep pore.
A deluxe sample of the Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub, and I have since bought the full size.
Boscia Make-Up Break-Up Cool Cleansing Oil. I like it but I have decided to buy cruelty free going forward and Boscia is not. I also finished up some Algenist primer, which they consider to be skin care.
My skin is not especially dry and the belif Aqua Bomb was perfect for me..
I am currently on the absolute dregs of what’s left of my Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream! As for what I last used up? I’m not 100% sure at this moment.
Curious on your thoughts about the eye cream – I’ve heard good things!
Monica, It’s one of only 2 eye creams that ever gave me some actual results and didn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes! The only other one was made by Physicians Formula in a tall, thin purple and white container. The PF one I believe is DC’d.
I finished a small travel sized bottle of my Proactiv+ Toners! I use it morning and evening!
Caudalie Glow Serum!
First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Polish – the only exfoliator that isn’t too harsh for my sensitive skin.
Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Serum and a bottle of the Loreal Micellar Water. I would repurchase both. PTR is crazy expensive though but that stuff made my skin baby soft!
Sunday Riley Good Genes. Already repurchased.
belif First Aid Overnight Brightening Mask – I love its texture so much!
Sunday Riley Good Genes and Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Infusion!
Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Face Wash.
I’m trying to find a replacement for my discontinued :*( HG Biore cleanser.
